BARSTOW IS A CITY IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES. BARSTOW IS LOCATED 67 MILES (108 KM) NORTH OF SAN BERNARDINO.
BARSTOW IS A MAJOR TRANSPORTATION HUB FOR THE INLAND EMPIRE. SEVERAL MAJOR HIGHWAYS, INCLUDING INTERSTATE 15, INTERSTATE 40, AND CALIFORNIA STATE ROUTE 58, CONVERGE IN THE CITY. IT IS THE SITE OF A LARGE RAIL CLASSIFICATION YARD, BELONGING TO THE BNSF RAILWAY. THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD ALSO RUNS THROUGH TOWN USING TRACKAGE RIGHTS ON BNSF'S MAIN LINE TO DAGGETT 10 MILES (16 KM) EAST, FROM WHERE IT HEADS TO SALT LAKE CITY AND THE BNSF HEADS TO CHICAGO.
BARSTOW IS HOME TO MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE BARSTOW.

I lived in Barstow for a few years in the 80s. Great memories. Especially when the McDonald’s came up.
I worked there for few years right after high school
So why is McDonald’s orange juice always warm?

Honestly it looks peaceful compared to here in Cleveland. And I like the view of the mountains in the back. Kinda reminds me of Mesa Arizona.

I visited Barstow back in October last year for the first time. Definitely a shock of the lack of greenery like I’m use to in Tennessee. But, was neat to see.
Barstow has a lot of mine shafts in the desert , it’s like living in the Middle East but with lesser heat

90s was hard out there ..gangs run the town ..its fueled by meth and crime ..its no a place u wanna raise kids or plant roots..but I found great friends and had a blast .evw aka duck
Things got a little better but the druggies are still here

I’ve been in and out of Barstow for 20 years it’s pretty good town
I use to work at the old Walmart, before they put that new one there. I stayed off G street and use to walk all the way down Main street to work!

My BFF Got hit and killed right behind the Barstow station in 2009
I'm sorry for your loss. My grandma died in Barstow Dec 30, 1999. I still can't drive through that area without feeling really sad. I hope you remember the good things about your boyfriend, and that he lives on in your memories, much as my grandma does in mine. May God bless you, as I have been blessed. Peace.
