Jimmy Jam slimmed down so much, I almost didn’t recognize him. What did he do? Gastric Bypass? Anyway, he looks really good.
I still like the Control album. It was JJs breakout. And then Rhythm Nation was her monster album like Thriller!
The songs have held up and are still played on the radio. That’s long lasting quality!
These two Minneapolis producers brought out the best in her musically so it was a great collaboration!

Such legends!! So thankful for Jimmy and Terry and so many great milestones! It is truly divine that in the year we celebrate 40yrs since The Time's 1st album and 30yrs since Optimistic and 20yrs since Janet's All For You, that we can also have new music from these legends. Saying a prayer that we also see the recovery of our live music industry this year as well.

I also hope and pray everything is OK w/ Jimmy Jam health wise b/c he looks skinnier than I'm used to seeing him. But not in a 'he lost weight... good for him but more so he lost TOO much weight and we should be concerned. 😬🤔

The biggest take away from this great 42 minute interview, Jam & Lewis don’t have any plans to work on Janet's Unbreakable follow-up - WHAT?
Either there's no Black Diamond album or they're not involved with 12th studio album at all.
My guess would be they aren’t involved cause she announced the album last year and the tour so it’s will be a different record
Or they're just saying that because they want to keep the project under wraps until its really ready to announce/release it.

Jam and Lewis are the greatest music production and songwriting artists that ever lived. They have pop/rb/funk/rock genres completely covered. Clearly the only Producers who are just as famous (if not more) as their clients. The Control Album still sounds good, it doesnt sound dated. That album has something for everyone and its groove velocity is off the charts. There just wasnt anything out at the time that sounded like Janet's tracks. Shanice Wilson, who is much more dynamic vocally had an album that dropped just after Janet's in 1987 named Discovery. The Discovery album was a very good album and I think producer Brian Loren did an excellent job with all the serious grooves he penned and produced for Shanice on that album. It's probably the closest comparison to the Control album in terms of genre and its songs fell Control-esq, especially Loren's keyboard work. Janet and Shanice were label mates I think at A&M at one time (I think). But Janet's dancing and performance chops truly pushed the Control album through the roof! Yes, she had Jam and Lewis' outrageously funky tracks with squeaky clean production ,anet although not the strongest vocal talent did make people want to watch as well as listen. Legendary.

She got cursed by the Flyte Tyme move from Minneapolis to LA. That Minnesota magic was lost after All For You (they became based in LA in 2003) and the blackballing was so painful above all.
She stopped working with them in 2007 unfortunately.

The interviewer is horrible. She spent more time talking about everybody but Jam and Lewis and Janet. Such a disservice
I think she did great. The stories about the history of Control is old news. She covered the story about how it got back to #1, there is no confirmation of the three working together on Black Diamond... what else JLJ was missed based on the title of the interview?
Janet should decline the halftime show forever.
