I'm sorry to hear about your mother, I lost my grandfather in 2020 as well and it's been hard. I was left an old Sears catalogue back lock that he used to carry with pictures of ducks printed on the side. (He really liked ducks) and it's now my most valuable part of my collection. Thank you for the videos man, I always love to watch them 😊.
Sorry your 2020 was a country song. I hope that 2021 really brings us all back up. We could use a win. You and all the other knife Tubers really helped get myself and I am sure many others through that craptastic year. Thank you.
Can't say I can identify any specific knife for me....but the "hobby" sure did help me. I'm completely new from about mid 2020, and went from a guy who had never even heard of Benchmade, or Spyderco, to someone with a dozen or more knives, and a basic working understanding of them. ;) Don't know if my interest will fade once we are "free again", but it has been an interesting little side road at least!
Love the topic. In my own knife journey, 2020 was a big year for me. I stepped up my knife game into the midtech range. Who knows what 2021 will bring?
Because of you I bought what may have been the very last grey ghost. I emailed sk blades just before the quarantine began and was offered one that was just sitting around and they probably weren't going to sell. The grind was slightly off so they were hesitant to offer it and after looking at some pictures I bought it.
Again condolences in regards to your mother and girl (dog) ☯️ My sister passed shortly after the holiday. Feels weird but she is no longer suffering (heart that was from a transplant was giving out and cancer was getting rough the two not related). Demko ad20, atac, thormax just a few to mention some of the ones that raise my interest no matter how videos I watch showcasing ‘em! Late congrats on the 200th brews and blades! Joyous blessings! ✌🏻☯️
You have really changed my mind when it comes to Tanto blades. I love CRK and man they do it better than anyone (imho). I’ve got 2 CRK knives and they’re both large insingo blades (for ease of sharpening on a WE). I think I NEED a Tanto now ❤️
Waiting for the Chef to come back into stock at Spydie HQ to pick one up, since I apparently missed the Zcarta Shaman drop I wanted more. Here is hoping 2021 is a far, far better year for all of us. Stay well, Bryan.
That's a very nice selection and although mine would be entirely different (except for the Anthem, sooooo glad I picked one up at the very last minute) I can definitely see how these helped you through 'the year we'd like to forget asap', thanks for sharing 👍!
Nice video, Slicey. My girlfriend and I were trying to guess what was on the list. I thought TRM Shadow, for sure. End of the year, I suppose. If you get the AD-20 Titanium, I call dibs on your green one! I'll become a patron, if I have to! Take care
@@SliceyDicey Oh I figured. I was just kidding around. I didn't mean for you to get any unsolicited requests. If you did, I apologize. We were cooking dinner and mostly just listening to the episode! I periodically watched for a few moments, here and there. I thought it was green! I feel like a jerk, now.
Beware of hellhounds; I was married to a hellhound for almost 20 years and I do regret that kick in my ass! LOL. The Hellhound knife should have a place in every collection; you don't have to keep it forever, but love it for a while, 👍
The gava is now my favorite knife. Very unique and has a great blade on it. Second fav of the year is my utx-85 with 4-20 for the date. Great vid! I like uploads like this
The large inkosi is my personal edc. I have a PJ with an insingo blade. I also have a 21 with micarta inlays. On the way is a large 31 PJ with dual silver lugs. I love crk
I haven't gotten into tanto blades yet, but that Chris Reeves tanto knife is gorgeous. If my eyes aren't tricking me, it looks like there is some slicey belly on the blades edge as well. WOW!!!
Kinda suprised the "old friend" category didn't feature the 0562 and that Walt wasn't in the "Big" group... nice to see a little behind the scenes peek!
I just really started getting into knives during 2020? I’ve continued that ‘trend’ into ‘21. Sorry to hear about your mother as well as your dog-condolences! edit: that’s quite a collection. Only nice folder I own is a Microtech SOCOM elite. Sweet knife! And yes, it was a 2020 acquisition. 😎
I loved my Spartan Harsey Folder while I had it. Incredibly well made as it is smooth but that all changed when I got my Fantoni HB-01. I ended up selling my Spartan because they are practically the same but the Fantoni did it better and are more uncommon and discontinued.
can you explain your catch and release process please. where to you sell the knife after purchasing it or do you give it away? also where to you resell the knife or do you return it?
Great video as always Brian. As much as these knives hot you through 2020, I'd like to say thanks to yourself. Regardless of how crap your year was, you still managed to help myself, and I imagine plenty others, get through 2020. So Thanks Brian Here's to a hopefully better 2021. 🍻

My condolences to you. We had similar 2020s. Lost my dog, lost my dad, turned to knives.
My condolences back at ya.
I freely admit that buying Cold Steels over the last year was something i viewed as a coping mechanism for this life
Knifes Schmifes, it was your content Bryan that helped get me through 2020, year of the Global Bastard!🍻
Glad to have helped!
Been loving your content lately. Always watch your posts but lately I feel your videos have been really interesting.
“Do NOT get into watches!!” -Nick Shabazz
Ah, you beat me to that one!
Good advice. I’m a watch guy and it’s a really slippery slope.

God bless man, best to you over the loss of your mother and your dog.

The best thing is when you find a great edc blade, and use it. Check out other brands if you can, liong Mah, Hinderer, Medford, etc.

The 4 max scout has a hole below the pivot so you can attach an anchor line....

I love that you still love the Chef! I finally found a rust proof knife I cant put down with the new version of the Drift.

I don't do "dibs" and it's grey.

Inspired by T3? I CALLED IT! That was a great video, excited to see your take!
Terrible year but for starting my collection! My top 10, deadlock, Arius, norseman, zaan tanto, Cypher, Ultratech, Atom, Waypoint, Kaniksu, Pm2 Tanto

Hi. Thanks for sharing. Lots of cool knives. Sometimes bad years are good. But there is not one Demko knife for sale on this planet.
What about the dollica?? Certainly that knife has to be on the list !!

Bro this is lit
Love this vid. Great knives. Would be tough to do just now as so many of mine are out with other friend reviewers. Ha. Thanks man.

Held my first spydiechef not gonna lie I was a little underwhelmed. I really wanted to like it but I couldn't.
The protech is sick!
Like the new background....
I'm a comedian. Or was before all this crap.
Great video!
Love the video, thank you man!
Looking forward to a better 21.
can you explain your catch and release process please. where to you sell the knife after purchasing it or do you give it away? also where to you resell the knife or do you return it?
Do you know for sure that the Spydichef will be discontinued.?
Don't recall saying that it would.
Did you say upgraded 4max scout?
A new 4-Max with S35VN and G10 scales.
Performing???
Great video as always Brian.
