He is not even correct on the definitions of agnostic or atheist! In greek a before a word means without! Gnostic is knowledge. Agnostic i to be without knowledge that GOD exists! Atheist on the other hand is to claim that there is no GOD not merely acknowledging that he does not know if GOD exists! He being an atheist incorrectly turns agnostics into atheists by his incorrect logic perhaps ignorantly.

You think so ? His point about everyone is basically an agnostic , well the rational evedence is actually the highest of value and if u can't accept it ,then you can't accept something like gravity or even your own existence. Also his point 2999 gods does this resolve the issue though ? If you assumed that there is a god between 3000 gods , that still means that there is god whether or not there is 3000 or 3 millions false ones. To clarify, agnostic means "without knowledge" and gnostic means "to have knowledge" so an agnostic thiest is someone who isn't 100% sure god is real, but believes he is real. An agnostic atheist is someone who isn't 100% sure god isn't real, but believes he isn't real. This also works with gnostic, a gnostic theist is someone who is 100% sure god is real, and a gnostic atheist is someone who is 100% sure god isn't real.
This means that most people who call themselves "agnostic" fall into the agnostic atheist category and a good chunk of religious people, particularly those with doubts, fall into the agnostic theist category.

@@stevendeans4211 1. If you don't hold the opinion that there is a god, then you by default are an atheist of some kind, because you don't believe in a god, if you're not sure then you're an agnostic atheist, if you're sure then you're a gnostic atheist. In order to be a true agnostic you would have to hold the opinion that god is real and that god is not real at the same time, which is a contradiction, you might flip constantly between atheist and theist, but being both at the same time is impossible.
Religious atheist is also a contradiction because religion is a set of practices or doctrine surrounding a god belief, and atheists have none of that. The only atheist "practice" is not doing religious practices, and the only "doctrine" is there is no doctrine.

I mean, I appreciate the fact that he is open about his views, this way you can get a proper discussion though his arguments are so weak to be fair.

Not a single Christian can PROVE God exists.
Every human can prove gravity exists.
If someone says "I believe in god", believing is "assuming" and assuming is being agnostic. No one says "I believe there is gravity".
Now someone can say like "the earth is flat"
Because they are dumb and refuse to accept reality. But they STILL can't prove it. They only assume. So someone saying "god is real" is just someone talking out of there mouth.

You can't even prove Jesus existed. You absolutely have no evidence he rose from the dead.

Julius Cesar is of the past, so yeah, you can only proof of his being amongst us by pointing to evidence of what he made have done. But if God is omnipresent then you shouldn't be pointing to evidence of the past. You should be able to provide something that is not 1000 years ago.

      That’s a silly argument.
Clearly there’s other evidences we can look at presently, including the cosmological argument, moral argument, and a list of others. They support the evidence found in the history of the New Testament.
You’re using the word proof which is an inaccurate word to use on this subject. Obviously I can’t prove God to you. I can’t take some God and put Him under a microscope. “Proof” is the wrong word when talking about historical or philosophical evidences.
The right word is evidence. “What is the evidence?” We all have the same evidence and we have to decide what it is we believe about the evidence.
Based on the evidence (things both you and I can observe), like history and things we can study in our universe, I’ve concluded that God is the best answer to these evidences.
Whatever it is you have concluded, tell me why you concluded what you have and why you have dismissed the evidence I have.

The biggest problem with his argument here is that it contains a preconception of what evidence can be, wherein an atheist can then reject any evidence on the basis of its content, not its validity.
I also understand his point about the term "agnostic," but ultimately, that isn't what the term actually means. Agnostic refers to the group of people that are indifferent to the existence of God. You cannot simultaneously be an atheist and an agnostic because the atheist position is convinced that there is no God.

I've played this semantics game many, many times over, buddy. Your definition isn't tenable. It's only ever an attempt to shift burden of proof away from one's self because you know you can't defend that God doesn't exist. I'm not talking whether God exists or not, rather that argument-wise, you have no argument.
Even the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy says that definition is moot and not representative of actual atheism-including the dichotomy of "agnostic/gnostic." It's just not tenable (which means not defendable).

I'm not sure if he's the kind of agnostic I'm thinking of, but I just have so much respect for the intelligence, humbleness, and honesty agnostics have for understanding and admitting the very simple fact that they don't know and that they'd like to base their beliefs on evidence and facts.
