That's wonderful to hear ! You're very welcome, we've come to see that nail clipping is one of the most sought after topics that people want/need help with, so we're trying to get as much info out there as we can on the subject, so happy it helped you ! Thanks so much for watching
Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching.Nothing makes me feel happier, and proud when someone says new groomer..The dogs need you,the pet owners need you, and the industry needs you..Best of luck in your career..We appreciate you..
I use the clippers that have a stop guard on the back so you can only clip a small amount and i generally only clip the small amount it allows, but do it regular.. im not sure my dog would allow me to use a grinder near her as the noise would scare her ( shes nervous of new things ). Great vodeo thanks.
… My GSD has mostly got black nails which makes it really hard to figure out where the vain is ending. I probably could cut his nails shorter but I am not comfortable doing it. I did cut one of his nails too short once and the blood from the vain shocked me. Luckily had a pet first aid kit. It didn’t bother him one bit as he is a GSD after all but I felt really bad and since then I am being really careful and managed to avoid it happening again. I really wish his nails were all white …
Its always best to only cut a little off, rather than go to far ,and possibly loose your dogs trust..I struggle with all black nails sometimes as well..We appreciate you watching, and commenting..
Thank you for this video! If we are trying to trim back overgrown nails, how often can we trim their nails until they’re back to a normal length? Is once a week too often? How quickly does the quick recede?
Hi There n Good Morning Rudy!!! I Have To Say That Youre Amazing With Te Nail Clipping!!! Haven't Seen Much Else YET Which Is Ok With Me Bcuz I Cut My Own Pups Nails As I Have Always Done With My Pups... I Have Over Trimmed A Total Of Maybe 4 Nails After Over 23 Yrs Of Dog Parenting Of Small Cairn Terrier n As Big As My Current Pup Who Is A 15 Month Old GSD Thats Weighs About A Healthy 77 Lbs Right Now... Who Has A Mixture Of Dark N Clear Nails... Which I Have Over Trimmed 1 Nail N Hopefully Thatll Be It... I Use N Love A Nice Sharp Guillotine Clipper... Always Have... Trust Them Myself With Them... Tho When I Have Over Trimmed It Has Horrified Me!!! COMPLETELY!!! My Question... If At All Pertinent... WILL YOU BE SHOWING HOW TO CUT M ANY N ALL TRICKS THAT YOU COULD SHARE WITH A LARGER BREED PUP OVER JUST THE LIL TINY BABIES?!? I Could Use Some Advice On My Large German Shepherd Pups Nails That Are Black n Clear As Well As VERY THICK... MEANING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM YET THEYRE STILL RATHER NARROW... HE IS STILL A LIL ALERT WHEN HE IS GETTING THEM CUT EVEN THO ITS BY MYSELF WHO HE TRUSTS MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD... ANOTHER THING... GSDs ARE KNOWN TO NEVER STOP SHEDDING... YEAR ROUND EVEN... I HAVE SEEN IT ADVERTISED THAT THERE IS SOME SORT OF SHAMPOO THAT MINIMIZES THE PROBLEMATIC INCESSANT SHEDDING... IM NOT SURE IF IT REALLY WORKS... BUT IM A DISABLED TERMINAL CANCER PATIENT N KAL... MY 15 MONTH OLD GERMAN SHEPHERD IS MY ESA NOW IN TRAINING TO BE MY DIABETIC SERVICE DOG AS A SPECIALTY AS WELL AS A GENERAL HELPER SINCE I ALSO HAVE A PLETHORA OF OTHER MEDICAL ISSUES... SO HE HAS BEEN A GOD SEND IN MY LIFE... IM ONLY 50 YEARS OLD WITH 3 FORMS OF CANCER N MY BODY N MIND HAVE ALSO STARTED TO REALLY BREAKDOWN... ANYWAY... IT WOULD BE TRULY WONDERFUL IF YOU COULD HELP BY OFFERING THE INFO ABOUT THE BATHING (SHEDDING MINIMIZING SHAMPOO OR OTHER TRICKS) AS WELL AS TRICKS TO CUT HIS NAILS MORE SAFELY N SHORTER THAN I HAVE BEEN... IVE NOTICED THAT AFTER I CUT 1 TOO SHORT N EVEN WITH THE STOP BLEED BOTH POWDER N GEL IT BLED LIKE CRAZY!!! I FELT HORRIBLE FOR HIM N HAD PLENTY OF LAUNDRY TO DO AFTERWARDS AS WELL AS MOPPING... LOL... BUT HONESTLY... HE DIDNT YELP OR VOCALLY ALERT ME TO WHAT HAD HAPPENED N IT DIDNT START BLEEDING FOR SEVERAL SECONDS AFTERWARDS... I WAS EVEN GETTING READY TO BANDAGE HIS PAW TO SLOW THE BLEEDING SINCE NEITHER STOP BLEED WORKING... AFTER SEVERAL APPLICATIONS TOO... ANYWAY... ALSO... IF YOU COULD ADD THE BEST SHAMPOO TO HELP WITH REALLY DRY SKIN AS WELL?!?!? THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH!!!!!
White nails are easy because you can see the vein. But What about black nails, when the quick or vein is impossible to find. I understand that a black spot can be seen when trimming a small portion of long nail at atime. Seeing the black spot is my stop cutting sign. Whatcha Reckon? I'm in Wales UK. Thanks for your tips... very helpful

The quick will recede easier and faster if you grind the nail after you clip it.. thank you ,we appreciate you
