Understand what they are saying. Lesson five: As you gain for example position, people will treat you better. None of that is for you, it's for your position. Thanks for this amazing information !! If you don't find a means of multiplying money, you will wake up one day to realize that the money you thought you had, has finished. Investment is key, I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life
Very true, I started investing before the pandemic and that same year I pulled a profit of about $750k with no prior investing experience, basically all I was doing was seeking guidance from *ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER* who's a guru in the game, you can be passively involved with the aid of a professional.
*ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER* is my portfolio-coach, I found her on Bloomberg where she was featured, I looked up her name on the internet. Fortunately I came across her site and reached out to her, you can verify her yourself.

I’m 60 yo, would have loved to hear that as a 25yo but I still learn from hearing stuff like that. Haven’t got old enough not to learn lessons like those and you need to hear them over and over again.
1. Go after the things you want. You can do it your way, just don't prevent others from getting what they want. 2. Sometimes, you're the problem! Take responsibility for your actions. 3. Take care of each other. Accept help when you need it, and offer it when others do. 4. Be the last to speak. Keep your opinions to yourself, ask questions, why they think what they do. 5. Remember humility and gratitude. All the "stuff" is for your position, not you. 4.
I've watched this a few times over the past couple of years and i just picked up at the start where Simon goes "offer you...some observation" which is a very clever choice of word because i almost expected him to say "offer you some advice" which is essentially what he is doing but the word "advice" would've made him come across as someone that has more knowledge and dominance over you where as "observation" invites you to share his experience at the same level....and it all loops back to his final point about humility....great speech

That cup of coffee really got me even though it's what I thought the entire time. Nobody is more important than any other person in the world. There is not a single person that can not be replaced. I would go even further and say you don't even deserve coffee or even a cup. You have to earn it!

Word choice is soooo important. In my line of work, we request not tell our staff what to do. It is a practice of choice. Requesting gives them the chance to choose.
Hello, Mr. Simon. I moved to Los Angeles from my hometown of Topeka Kansas to live, work hard to get into acting and film making. It has not been easy by far, I learned fast that I don’t have it all figured out, but I have been working and networking to facilitate the mission of achieving my goal. Your motivational speeches have helped me to be aware and to keep my cell phone put away during meetings and work.. lol Thank you. I will keep watching
Absolute Gold. True humility is beautiful. Is helps one serve better. It is one of the most avoided virtues I think because people are so caught up thinking of their “worth”. No one exists in a vacuum and humility helps us see our worth as part of the whole not just to our own self or aims. Looking out for the person next to you makes you even more worthy. Our service to one another enriches us and our worth lies in who we are to others and who we are to God.
1. 0:40 - go after what you want but don't stop others 2. 4:50 - take responsibility for all your actions; the cause maybe you 3. 5:41 - take care of each other 4. 8:47 - listen first, speak last, don't agree or disagree but ask 5. 11:19 - everyone deserves a styrofoam cup For my future reference when I need encouragement
Ilove to listen to him speak, I find him so very inspirational. One take away here is : to go after the things that I want.. (you cannot get in the way of somebody else getting what they want). I had heard the story of the handwashing before and I love that he brought it up (sometimes we are the problem). I would love to be a leader who understands when I need to step back because I may be the problem.
He's establishing a fundamental mindset in a narcissistic world. All you have is nothing, once its taken away and its all a matter of time when you lose it. Be thankful you have it and respectful to others who don't. They do open doors for you because they want a whiff of your acceptance and acknowledgement. But once you are done, you're back to opening your own.
As you grow higher in life the way people treat you is for the position you hold..its not for you... so be humble and have Gratitude ..Superb!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻❤
11:19 my fav part and this is why it deserves the thumbs up - it's somewhat painful to admit that this is so true - one day you are the hero, the next day persona non grata - but never give up believing in yourself!
just bla bla. he only tell what people ready now. but he is writer so he knows how to bla bla bla ,.. nothing new. if u are insecure person you are going to like him. if u are secure u can see > He just saying "words" that people like to hear. he is making money in people that are insecure. right? if u look in his eyes - he is a real sociopath. i´m out.
God's wisdom is wayyy better than human wisdom reach the source of infinite wisdom. His thoughts are higher than the heavens and full of infinite love and great care
I've hardly missed any of your presentations Simon Sinek.Every time I listened, not only learn something but motivated myself for the best attempt being in leadership
I stumbled upon this after my friend sent me a video (this was the next one that played). I truly enjoyed this. This much I know but to have it put in such a way. I just shared this with my 11 year old and tested him after on what he received from each lesson. These are the things I talk to him about all the time, what I am trying to instill in him and live myself. Thank you Mr. Sinek!
Well, to me, both positions are wrong/right depending on the context ... Sometime we have to acknowledge our limits and be ready to work hard to overcome them, i mean it is not always possible to just workaround the problem... For sure many limits we have are psicological tho
You are the best! You are on the good way because you make the decision to watch these motivational video's to improve yourself. You can be proud on yourself. Much love from the Netherlands!
I have attempted to meditate many times in my life and prior to this CD the only success I've experienced is with live guided meditation. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq This is the first CD I've used that cuts through my unmedicated ADHD and enables me to truly relax and experience a quiet and energizing interval. The instructors voice is very soothing and pleasant to listen to. I am easily able to sit successfully through the entire CD, and for quite some time after. I cannot adequately express how tremendously helpful this CD has been on my spiritual journey!! Two thumbs up and 10 stars!
I get the point, and I like Simon's work ... but this was a really bad example for making this point. "Cut in line for a free thing that is already really cheap anyway ..."? Just more creative metaphors I would think ... and then he "leaned in between two people and didn't deny anyone anything?" Anyone, silly little comment by me, just thought there would be a better way to explain the point.
I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks (with the help of my Financial Advisor of course) and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.
@Erica Stewart What is your advice for a new beginner like myself, I have been trying to practice using a demo accounts, but I am scared that I don't know enough to start trading all by myself. What to do next.
@Erica Stewart That's impressive. I've been looking for a good trader that can help me trade and make good profits, But it's very hard to see a trusted one.... I'm so happy I found this day
Wow what a coincidence, you invested with Mrs Kathy lien also.? I also trade with her I get to earn a biweekly trading income of 43k pioneered by Mrs Kathy lien.
I’ve got the utmost respect for you, as I’ve listened to everything that you have said . I have one serious issue with you and that is that you can never skip a queue. I don’t care if you feel you can stick your hand in (I would have cut it off). The rule is......... You Don’t Skip The Q in any shape or form.
Humble, humane, sensitive, logical, simplicity. Simon is just a natural person, looks at reality, which speaks the truth. Somethings are so difficult yet... Thank goodness a few show up now n then. Thankyou Simon
Successful people don't beçome that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time
People come here with the aim of chasing money more than knowledge and that will damage your progress, trust me. Chase knowledge first and I promise! The money will follow you just like it's following some of us now
Last week I ran my first 5k without stopping and all the time I could hear the voice in my head saying that I can do it. Forwago, thank you so much for everything!!
The styrofoam cup hits home. I, along with many people, have lived in the Gulf. The life there is extravagant. You get all kinds of perks, enough airline miles to change card levels to platinum, valet parking, doormen, sir, ma'am, etc. I left because I wanted to feel what a styrofoam cup felt like again. I spent all my savings to travel the world, land in Switzerland and start from nothing again--less than nothing ... got feet on the ground and working way up again. But now I hold that feeling again and keep it closer than before. The humility ... there is something so priceless, grounding and relaxing about it! Indeed, I don't need to be attached to a position to deserve a cup :D
Lesson 3 is the best. The most valuable thing you can ever have is favor. If someone you helped becomes a millionaire, you have the favor of a millionaire. If someone you helped becomes a billionaire, you have the favor of a billionaire. If you choose the right people to help, you will be repaid hundred fold later.
Its, December 25th 2020, and I understand the that the takeaway is as important as this 1. You can go after whatever you want you cannot deny anyone else to go after whatever they want (You can break the rules but you cannot get in others way what they want) 2. Sometimes you are the Problem 3. Take care of each other 4. You speak last 5. None of us deserve the perks that we get
Incredible person who is reading this. Want to let you know that EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT. Blessings upon blessings come to you daily. Everything you need it’s on its way to you! Be ready to receive! You are healthy. You are strong. You are capable. True wealth is coming for you. You are blessed beyond measure. You are loved so much by many. Receive this TRUTH! Bless you always with everything great you deserve. You are greatness!
I watch this every year and I see how true his words are as I age. I choose a styrofoam cup. I choose to not be treated with the privileges of my position and seniority. I do so regardless of whom I'm working with or working for because I am there to support everyone around me so they can be at their best and achieve their goals. Together as a team, we can accomplish significantly more than having me as their leader and having others follow in my footsteps, hiding in my shadows. I want others to shine. It doesn't matter what my responsibilities are or powers I have, I am no more important than anyone else in this society and I am honoured to get my hands dirty or sit in the mud with anyone so they know they're not alone. That is, in my view, the only way we can grow as a society. With love and kindness.
I really appriciate the technology, the speech is wonderful, and more importantly the beautiful thing is i can listen to it sitting in my room. Thankyou Technology.
1st lesson: go after what you want -for as long as you are not cutting off others. You dont have to do it, the way others have done it. 2nd lesson: 2nd lesson: take accountability for all your actions. -Everythig happens to you is because of your own choice. Be proud if you are right and admit if you are wrong. 3rd lesson:Take care of each other -No man is an island, seek for help if necessary but be willing to help if someone is need. 4th lesson:Be the last to speak. - practice the skill of letting others to speak first before taking actions. It gives everyone the feeling of being heard. it give you the chance to understand them. 5th lesson: Stay humble. -As you gain position, people will treat you better, but remember it is not for you it is for the position you are at.
Respected Sir, The end was begun the start to all commitments with the support of neighbors and friends but now a days the all the end is changed, the fear get in the moves by the way they are treating and working self guidelines for their families. The relationship based on the character and strength of relationship with love. The changes started because the all the end moves for their personal saves. Thank you very much.
I just stumbled onto this guy. I like his way of thinking and believe it could change the world. Unfortunately, not everyone will ever agree and only a select few will put these words into practice because theres no way to insert a lot of his information into the majority of life of earth. One can hope and THIS girl will put it into practice! ❤ great speaker and not hard on the eyes at all lol.
The one lesson i clearly imply in my life from this speach is this: "As you gain a position, as you gain fame, as you gain fortune in someway people will treat you respect, they will call you sir, the will pouring cup of tea for you without asking tea but always remembere none of them means for you that must be the position you hold"
On the Navy Seals. Dr. Andrew Huberman studied it. The training is to deplete everybodies energy by cold and lack of sleep and only those who find (dopamine) energy again and again make it through. It is about setting small goals, like make it to the next meal, and hold on to that and find rewards. You only make it if you can find motivation to go on because nobody can on moral will. That is a great scientific-medical discovery. Set small goals to the bigger goal, set stepping stones to embrace to achieve your goals and you will succeed more likely.
Lesson one:
You can go after whatever you want, you just cannot deny anyone else to go after what they want. You don't have to do it the way everybody has done it.
Lesson two:
Sometimes you are the problem. You can take all the credit in the world for things that you do right, as long as you also take responsibility for the things you do wrong.
Lesson three:
Take care of each other. If you wanna be a lead worrier, you must be really really good at helping the person to the left of you and helping the person to the right of you.
Lesson four:
Be the last that speaks. It gives everyone the feeling, that they have been heard. And it gives you the benefit of hearing the others before you take action. Understand what they are saying.
Lesson five:
As you gain for example position, people will treat you better. None of that is for you, it's for your position. It's for the level you have achieved of leader. Be grateful for them, but remember. They are not for you...
much appreciated!!! :))
thx bro

Very true, I started investing before the pandemic and that same year I pulled a profit of about $750k with no prior investing experience, basically all I was doing was seeking guidance from *ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER* who's a guru in the game, you can be passively involved with the aid of a professional.

The last message of staying humble is what we all need. None of us are entitled to anything. We need to earn and appreciate.
The comment section is a true gem. I could look through different perspectives of people. I appreciate each one of you, not being afraid of putting forward your points.
That's was very wholesome for UA-cam! And the internet in general :)
I’m 60 yo, would have loved to hear that as a 25yo but I still learn from hearing stuff like that. Haven’t got old enough not to learn lessons like those and you need to hear them over and over again.

Finally, a video with no irrelevant background music.
Simon Sinek is a blessing to many. I achieved success after I practiced the steps below.
Y’all need to Know this. A well-known podcast in the US taught me how the rich don’t teach how to achieve success. They seek the ideas of Fin. ConsuItants to help grow their finance
To achieve success, a FinanciaI ConsuItant is needed to achieve it. I engage in a variety of investments with the ideas of my consultant and have acquired great returns so far. (the amount is confidential )

That cup of coffee really got me even though it's what I thought the entire time.
Nobody is more important than any other person in the world. There is not a single person that can not be replaced.
I would go even further and say you don't even deserve coffee or even a cup. You have to earn it!
This guy changes my life every time I listen to him. I love you Simon.
Marry him.
Same here. 🙏💕
By far my favorite summary of all 5 lessons!
I love this guy. His vibe. Energy. His tone. His demeanor. Type of guy who can be anyones friend
I always thought that he was born to speak. His messages are so clear and well put. He knows his business.
“Progress has little to do with speed, but much to do with direction.” You are the MAN!!!!

Slow progress is still progress😉

Word choice is soooo important. In my line of work, we request not tell our staff what to do. It is a practice of choice. Requesting gives them the chance to choose.
Great observation! Noted.
Take care of each other, it’s not easy rule, there are many people who is not polite to you

Being the last to speak is something I have never thought of but when you think about it, it is really an amazing skill.
lots of people especially in the corporate world, want to speak last - so they can collect others' knowledge and present it as their own....
1. 0:40 - go after what you want but don't stop others
2. 4:50 - take responsibility for all your actions; the cause maybe you
3. 5:41 - take care of each other
4. 8:47 - listen first, speak last, don't agree or disagree but ask
5. 11:19 - everyone deserves a styrofoam cup

two people in this world... those who see the goal & the many others who focus on the path (to that goal).
you need to be aware of both
Theres another one, those who carpe diem! 😆

Man 5 is really hard to wrap my head around I love it.
Go after what you want but don’t deny others. I can see this happening in my life… I focus on the obstacles while the other person sees the goal
This man is really something i just love him 😍
I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment.
I'm so happy I found this day
Please how can I reach her easily, I think I should try this woman I've heard so much good news about her
@Erica Stewart Thanks a lot dear I'll definitely ensure to do that..
I was a member of the Road Runners! 😊🙌🏼 Loved running in Central Park!
The secret of your future is hidden in your
daily routine. Successful people do daily
what the unsuccessful only do occasionally
Successful people don't beçome that way
overnight. What most people see at a
glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the
result of hard work and hustle over time
The amount of time you spend believing we can’t is more than enough time to learn how you can
@@franklinbradley886 Yeah! I agree with you.
People come here with the aim of chasing money more than knowledge and that will damage your progress, trust me. Chase knowledge first and I promise! The money will follow you just like it's following some of us now
@@marywills5744 That's very correct sir!! And that is why most of them end up losing they m o ney to scammers.
It‘s so simple what he says but not many people listening to these rules!
The man is just simply the personification of what it means to truly have wisdom
Last week I ran my first 5k without stopping and all the time I could hear the voice in my head saying that I can do it. Forwago, thank you so much for everything!!
This actually works. I have been using it for a while now.
Simon rules. Period
He says such obvious things, but he makes it so simple and delivers in a way you want to listen. It's an amazing skill I had to cover in a video
Nothing is obvious remember
Even this and your message
"There is no worse feeling than regret, so take those chances while you can"
The styrofoam cup hits home.
Total agreed especially the 5th one - People treat my fame, my position not my real person. I already experienced this.
Sir I watched the video and then watched again and again.
Lesson 3 is the best. The most valuable thing you can ever have is favor. If someone you helped becomes a millionaire, you have the favor of a millionaire. If someone you helped becomes a billionaire, you have the favor of a billionaire. If you choose the right people to help, you will be repaid hundred fold later.
this guy is very famous, but I want him to be much more, he is making the world a better place.
Simon is Awesome! I was captivated watching and just forgot everything else, just focused on Simon talking to me
Its, December 25th 2020, and I understand the that the takeaway is as important as this
1. You can go after whatever you want you cannot deny anyone else to go after whatever they want (You can break the rules but you cannot get in others way what they want)
2. Sometimes you are the Problem
3. Take care of each other
4. You speak last
5. None of us deserve the perks that we get
Charismatic Speaker indeed
if you don't know the facts and ethic.
A group of leaders sit in a conference room. What do they discuss?
Nothing. Because they're all waiting to be the last to speak.
That really shows how you missed the point.

...You're an idiot.

@Ameen Ahmed lol! good one!
One of the best speaches I have ever heard. Thank you so much Mr.Simon. You are one of the great speaker.
Love the Nelson Mandela - listen lots and talk last; and #5 - always be humble and kind!
We're only curating what we have. Do it to the best of your ability while lifting those around you up.
Exactly!
My life has changed already after watching this, thank you for a wonderful video
his smile is beautifulllllll
He's one of the best motivational speakers!
I trust Simon when it comes to leadership. I like to listen. God bless you more.
Theres two types of people, people who see the point he is trying to make, and people who see him cutting in line
Is he so deaf as to not hear his name being called: "DOUCHEBAG"...
@@andytaylor1588 says the loser. : )
There is only one type of people who understands sarcasm in the comments.
Those who saw him cutting the line made an assumption that he did not follow the rules of getting in line
So manners and common sense doesn’t mean anything? What am I missing? That being an ass I can get free bagel a lot faster?
Cut in line for whatever you want. Great message. I agree.
The Golden rule. That says it better: "Do unto others as you would have done unto you."
I think so also. It is the same as done when you step on people going up the latter because you may have to pass the one's coming back down.
I really appriciate the technology, the speech is wonderful, and more importantly the beautiful thing is i can listen to it sitting in my room. Thankyou Technology.
i love it - One day, now, it's all there, and it's there not for me, but for the position i hold.
What a fantastic man!!! Thank you for sharing and thank you Simon 😊
1st lesson: go after what you want
-for as long as you are not cutting off others. You dont have to do it, the way others have done it.
2nd lesson:
2nd lesson: take accountability for all your actions.
-Everythig happens to you is because of your own choice. Be proud if you are right and admit if you are wrong.
3rd lesson:Take care of each other
-No man is an island, seek for help if necessary but be willing to help if someone is need.
Lesson No. 5 hit me. Thank you for the realization
Respected Sir,
The end was begun the start to all commitments with the support of neighbors and friends but now a days the all the end is changed, the fear get in the moves by the way they are treating and working self guidelines for their families.
The relationship based on the character and strength of relationship with love. The changes started because the all the end moves for their personal saves.
Thank you very much.
I pray whoever reads this become extremely successful!
I aspire to be as comfortable as Simon in front of a crowd
I just stumbled onto this guy. I like his way of thinking and believe it could change the world. Unfortunately, not everyone will ever agree and only a select few will put these words into practice because theres no way to insert a lot of his information into the majority of life of earth. One can hope and THIS girl will put it into practice! ❤ great speaker and not hard on the eyes at all lol.
The TED Talks version of Markplier. Sinek is sure a nice person to listen to
damn does this mean a have a "type" *insert a fangirl facepalm here*
These man is incredible. Love all his speeches... Fantastic Simon

The one lesson i clearly imply in my life from this speach is this:
"As you gain a position, as you gain fame, as you gain fortune in someway people will treat you respect, they will call you sir, the will pouring cup of tea for you without asking tea but always remembere none of them means for you that must be the position you hold"
Lesson learned : Never ever read comment section after watching motivational video.
Agreed!

Lol
This guy changes my life every time I listen to him. I love you Simon.

Thanks.
Learn to accept help is the most valuable thing you can learn in your life. Thats the Gospel in a nutshell.
