As a HGV driver, I would rather apply to a crap agency than live with the stress of working for Stobarts. Not a chance, plus everyone seems to hate them for a multitude of reasons and this proves it.
It seems like a stressful job having to be at a customers address driving though traffic and having to be on time or the load will be rejected . I would be angry and abusive to the customer cause ive driven lots of miles and hours to get to the drop off area to be turned away a trip wasted them planners must be a pain in bum lol 😆

The first couple of series were quite interesting as they went into quite a lot of detail about how the haulage industry works, but now all they focus on are biomass deliveries with the same drivers. And Andrew Tinkler’s son only got the job because of who he is, he’s been given a brand-new log carrier and he’s dented it, as well as not wearing a proper uniform and hoddy!

Smart looking Volvos, mind and you pretty much have to use a cabover. Europe is a lot tighter to work in than North America, in the main. I tell drivers to get down and do that duck squat from your DOT physical (US trucker) and with a flashlight (torch) LOOK into the back of that fifth wheel to see the fifth wheel jaws around the kingpin

I think those spotters are really there for insurance purposes or to verify that the trucks and their drivers arrived/departed to keep an eye on top of the GPS system.... Either that or they must be really bored and retired because how do they get money for sitting around all day writing down truck names/numbers and such?????
Planner Gary looks like a total nervous wreck with fan on his desk to cool his hot head, heavy smoking etc.....I know of a company in Bahrain Middle East where the office staff if they have to go outside to smoke, then their smoking time is deducted from their monthly salary.

Its not a wise idea to do this,but Diesel is far from as flamable as petrol...and the fueltanks are buildt so open flame will not egnite the fuel... take it from there... This guy were never sacked for this.. Its pretty much the only flat part in and on the truck he can place this hotplate :) :)
planners not got a clue .money 8.50 an hour night out money paid monthly drivers cant find palletts x that by 100 drivers .every morning .cant find there stuff .you can start at the bottom if you want to drive .theiving is rife drivers start monday leave wednesday .planners leave evry week .and hours dont matter at stobarts .just drive .

We live in a world of chains and the bigger and stronger a chain gets the more you are tied down till the day you cant move.

ollo1982 diesel requires high compression to ignite, it’s not a spark but high temperatures through glow plugs, very unlikely to be a problem
