We call this Sagolhawai Oooti in Manipur. Sagolhawai mean black gram, the dal.. Oooti is Any pulse preparation with Khaar, which we call Kharee
Funny thing is we don't add jackfruit seeds, but I am sure it will be tasty. Will try soon.
But we do add Arbi or Taro roots to the same dish, and they indeed look the same
