I'm a recently retired bricklayer, been in the business since I was 14 and the brickie in this clip is very good and that oven is a work of art.
Looked like this guy eye-balled every brick he placed .. quite impressive.

One of the most detailed, informative builds I have ever seen for a stone kiln ! Excellent workmanship..
Add to that it's better to soak the bricks first, better bond

@@Alakwe Soaking the bricks will affect the constancy of the mud mix. The mud mix needs to be like dough.

Usta adam dediğin duvarını örerken harcı dökmez inşaata girmiş usta görmüş biri olsaydın Usta'nın nasıl iş çıkardığını bilirdin. Bunlar usta değil ezbere çalışan işçilerdir belli bir proje üzerine çalışıyorlar.
Ustamız ciddi manada usta ne ip kullandı ne başka bir alet muazzam bir göz kararıyla yaptı . Maşallah.

The lost art here is dignity of work! And what a crew! They all sleep well and don't need Valium to get thru life. I'm 81 now, started laying brick at 16, Local 34 NYC Brickies Union. Then stonework, fireplaces, bread & pizza ovens in USA & India. One of the main keys to their success is the excellent mortar his crew is mixing for him. And what teamwork! And LOVE of the work!
I thoroughly enjoy watching real craftsmen apply their trade. The gentlemen that built this oven are true masters of their trade. Thanks for posting.

This is really amazing work. To be able to build this dome unsupported speaks to huge experience and skill. I think people, who put thumb down to this video had never laid a brick in their life.

this master's trade used to be revered in Turkey (where this video originates) as ovens were communal and a necessity.
unfortunately, this skill and appreciation for it is fading with newer generations. without apprentices this man's skill will be a lost art

@@bahodirturanov5430 каменная печь (для пиццы). вроде бы - ничего сложного, на первый взгляд, но если собрать неправильно - всё будет гореть, или на протопку потребуется столько дров, что на пару пицц потребуется вырубить целую рощу. а если сделать правильно - это даже по пламени видно, когда прогреваешь: пламя ровное, цельное, равномерное. в такой печи пицца будет равномерно пропекаться.

Es una obra de arte de gran admiración son muy pocos contal destreza tremendo maestro larga vida.
True Master mason: no wasted motion, accurate leveling by eye, minimal tapping on the bricks and that only to set them in the mortar. This seems pretty much the same way they would have done it 2000 years ago. Love the way they mix they mortar with their feet like treading grapes. From a former mason tender.
It looks like only traditional mortar was used on the outer layer, the two inner layers (that were mixed by foot) look like clay ( based on how it shrinks and cracks as it dries on the plastered surfaces just before the outer layer is laid.
@@gregarmstrong4653 was curious about how they would get around excessive shrinkage and super heated gas pockets in the finished product?
@@banditto1969 I would imagine the whole oven shrinks uniformly as the clay slowly dries, maybe leaving a slight air gap between the inner two clay mortar layers and the outer cement based mortar layer. This air gap is good for insulation, meaning with the doors closed. the oven never really cools off completely from day to day. The whole oven is fairly porous, so i dont see trapped air pockets as a problem. Steam could be a problem if the clay is not allowed to dry slowly enough though.

Al final termina poniéndose unos guantes por que se le habrán picado los dedos. El otro haciendo la mezcla con los pies y al final del video se ve una amasadora (batidora ) manual. Un artista, pero un cero en productividad a día de hoy.
@@msagaz4992 parece que tu no te enteras ni de la mitad....lo que amasa con los pies es barro ,solo y únicamente barro, en la tercera capa de ladrillo si lleva pasta y eso lo harán con la hormigonera...y lo de la productividad una chorrada..no creo que el hombre pueda poner ladrillos mas deprisa y mas teniendo en cuenta los tiempos de secado...yo como albañil le doy un 12....una obra de arte
