One draw back in the window ac is great but, some ac models have drain holes in the bottom. If so go ahead pull ac carefully make 2 rear drain holes in ac unit and reinstall it. While ac is out check drain pan install under ac. Seal up anything factory didn't. Its all a easy fix but will save ya alot of trouble in the long run on hot days the ac is used.
@Thecampingloop update on ac, seen a 17b and 17r the other day. 2024 models. The ac looked to be installed a lil deeper so the rear of ac is more on the outside shroud and way more clearance from bottom of ac and pan underneath. Was super clean to. Ac had a good tilt to it as well. Could be just me but it looked diff on 2024 models.
I wanna say a HUGE Thank You! We are about to start our little nomad journey with one of these! Definitely gonna be only a year tops, but this gave me soooo munch information! I grew up with trailers and always thought they all came with front and back stabilizing jacks! 🤷♀️ Shocked these weren’t lol! 😂
I have the same trailer. So far I've, put a 12 ft awning, added an access door to driver side rear to access area under bottom bunk from outside, additional propane tank, ran propane hose up into area under fridge to hook up the buddy heater, 3k inverter mounted to wall in front storage area, 200 ah sok battery moved to area next to fresh water tank, made the whole bed lift up with struts, thin shade window in entry door, vortex fan in vent by stove, bright exterior light wired to blank in switch panel, new dometic cook top, tv with a charging shelf mounted under it for all our gadgets, and all the things you did, minus the dinette removal. Getting ready to put a bigger window in the "dinning room." Oh yeah... I also carry my motorcycle on the back.
Good Job. You picked almost the same first 5 things we did. The only difference might be the spare tire. My wife would not think about heading down the road without a spare. We bought some outside lights that are solar. They do a great job and then we found out that some campgrounds don't want you using them. Not a big deal, just don't turn them on.
Good thinking with the spare tire. Definitely should’ve put that in there. We carry one just in the back of the truck. Crazy that they don’t come with one. Thanks for watching!
I didn't do the hinge thing, but try not to stow away heavy items on the rear side of the axle. Or at least make sure the trailer is heavy on the tow hook side. Keeps the trailer from swaying.
@@Thecampingloop can you provide a link to the rims and tires. I went on etrailer but it shows the steel rims with load c tires. I currently have load D tires on it but they are what came with it. I didn't see link on your other video for your tire upgrade.
Unfortunately the link is no good. That particular style is discontinued as far as I can tell. This maybe the replacement from what I can tell on etrailer. Hope it helps www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Tires-and-Wheels/Westlake/WST57FR.html
What is the overall height on this one? I have seen mixed messages depending on where I look. Trying to get something to fit at 8 foot in my shop. Can you give me the exact height of this one?

Thanks for the update. We’ll have to check them out when we go to the Rochester RV show next weekend
These are really great suggestions. Mattress first, Jack and stabilizer right after. Lights and curtains as well.
Glad you like them. Thanks for watching!

Nice upgrades wow! Great ideas👍Sounds like you got it setup perfectly for you. Appreciate you watching!
Chris, Can you share which awning you picked?
Yes, I'd love to know about the awning as well!
If you replace or upgrade every part of the camper, is it still a 17B? Lol
Excellent tips. I’m considering this camper and will do all of them.
Glad it was helpful!
These are awesome little campers!
We agree!
I use 2 bottle jacks and issue fixed. I wish the AC was larger, the Texas sun is a tough issue.
Good idea! We’ve heard the ac can’t keep up with Texas!

By the time we paid for the tire, the rim and the bumper mount for the spare, we spent a little over $100 for it.
Seems about right. I actually have an old mount I think I’m going to put on soon
Custom spare tire covers are cheap. Get one and promote your channel on it.
Don't forget to make a video about mounting the spare tire AND showing the new cover with your logo on it.
Another great upgrade is utilizing the bottom bunk wasted space. We put hinges on and it lifts like the front now
That’s a really good idea. I may tackle that in spring

Just added rock lights to the ever growing “list”.
Good choice!
Curtains are a great idea
Glad you like them!
Love your video! Quick question what size generator do you use to power up the ac, interior lights and fridge?
This is what we use. Never had a problem. Good luck! www.google.com/gasearch?q=craftsman%20inverter%20generator&source=sh/x/gs/m2/5
Can you share how and what you used for the bunk curtains? Thank you
Check out our shorts. Full video coming soon
We have a 2021 lantern 17r. Love the bigger bathroom but miss the bunks
The bigger bathroom seems nice
Can you share the link to the stabilizer jacks you purchased please?

I like the camping lights. They look great.
Thanks they’re great!
Could you tell me where is the fuse box? My electric furnace is not working. Want to check the fuse box but can't find it. I renting it
Ours is under the bunk. Some are under the dinette
Do you have a product link for the lights?

Got the same Coleman. Where's the link for the tires and rims? Did you go to 15 inch rims or did you stay with the 14 inch?
We stayed 14 but got rid of the china bombs that come on it
