- Jason's story is simple. His best friend has found his dream girl in Bangkok, and yes, she is definitely different, a fantasy that only Andy can dream up in his own little world. Jason finds himself on a hunt for something he didn't expect, in a city that's unforgiving and chaotic. He's got people who can help him out, but ultimately he's the one man out there discovering that all is not what it seems in the Land of Smiles. With cameos from some great characters. Enjoy.
Thanks to Rob @ProjectBangkok for being such a good sport
and to Jaroen @globaltravelmate
Also thanks to Mark & Ben for agreeing to take part, to Pump for a great contribution as Mac, and of course our good friend Gabby. Without all of you this wouldn't be the video it is right now!

“Thailand will not adapt to you”. Probably the most true sentence I’ve heard about Thailand. Well put!
😅
Cheers mate 😎😻
@@BangkokPat Always look forward to your videos Pat. I like to walk the ‘off beaten’ parts of this awesome city too . I always seem to bump into other Thailand UA-camrs like Chris Parker but not had the pleasure of meeting you yet. One day may our paths cross, from a fellow Englishman
@@c0rn15hman3 Unusual meet up coming soon I promise.
"But the UK will" 😂
You are a good storyteller. This must have been a lot of work, way over UA-cam standard.
Thank you @LonglingEriksen😊😊
3 months working on it bit by bit between other projects! Thanks a lot 😻😻
The origin condo is soon ready for moving in. Thank you for letting me know :) @@BangkokPat
Loving the vids and this channel subbed just recently so thanks keep u the great work

Man that was freakin' brilliant. You've definately got a gift, not only as a story teller, but as a film maker and actor. Well done Pat. Great story too.
Thanks for the kind words! More of Jason to come!
You finish quickly ROFL
Are you "H"? Definitely!

It doesn't get more Blade Runner-esque than the rainy walk through Cowboy at 00:28. So well done! Really enjoyed this one. I can't imagine how many hours you must have put into it.
3 months bit by bit in between my other projects and a lot of walking tours!
Oh damn, @@BangkokPat. The result though, is fantastic!
Yes, that's it. Blade Runner-esque.
Just moments in time baby! Anyway, I've spent a few hours there enjoying the ambiance it has to be said....
I have witnessed several variations of this story... but never heard them told so well.
I look forward to hearing more tales of Lazy-Eye Jason.
Thanks mate😎
The editing, the cast, the story, THE WIG!!! This is actually brilliant! Nice one Bangkok Pat! This is the reason why I always look forward to your uploads! Amazing cameos from Global Travel Mate and Project Bangkok too! 🤣
Pat I was interested from beginning to end. You have the gift for keeping your viewers attentive 100%. Jeroen playing his part well. 😂😂
Best way to start a sunday: New video upload by Bangkoks best youtuber. Thanks a lot !!!
This deserves a much wider audience, if only for how hot that wig must have been :-)
The camerawork captures the elements of Bangkok, I feel as though I'm in the taxi from the airport, coming off the freeway ramp and seeing the green Din Daeng exit sign.
Well done, and thanks to everyone involved.
Thanks mate, it may get a bigger audience as time goes on but unless l start doing malls, street food and hidden gems, l won't get those numbers....
Absolutely loved it Pat. Really captured that feeling in Thailand as a farang you never fully understand what is happening around you.
Fabulous story and video, just brilliant idea / concept and well executed, more of similar content would be fantastic.
I knew l had to do it differently to the othee stories on YT.....
It's not an authentic Thai story unless a ghost is involved somehow. Good story, Pat, excellent channel.
The ghost part was hinted at in the end........but part 2 could be more sinister👻
These stories are my favourite on the channel, very good quality. thanks for sharing. stay safe mate
Surprised this video isn't blowing up. It's the classic cautionary tale of a foreigner losing everything in Thailand over a girl. Hits two birds: gives those who've made similar mistakes a way to feel superior, while giving others a valid cope to not return to Thailand. I have never experienced anything like that in Thailand, but maybe it happens when I get older.
Thanks! These videos take time to blow up but this is a slow burner in terms of views!! 👻😎😻
I started watching this and couldn't stop till the end. Excellent work. You have a gift for telling a story in such a way that keeps me guessing. I swear to you, not once did I think "oh, I see where this is going...." Awesome video.
Thanks very much! Didn't want to make it too predictable, this is not one of those cookie cutter stories on Thailand Bound channel
That was brilliant.... hope we can see a monthly addition of Dick Tracey's episodes from Krung Thep
That Andy is a good looking lad haha wicked story
Rob cheers mate you're a legend😎
I like how you delve into the psychological aspects of living in a foreign country. I've been living in China for close to a decade. Let's just say, I've seen a lot. Like this guy living in Japan said, Japan will not fix you. I think the same applies to any other place on earth. If you're moving to Thailand or anywhere else to escape from yourself, it will catch up to you, sooner or later.
Yep I've heard it's hard to escape from yourself, when the self has such a grip on you. But ive seen a few here who are doing it pretty well, with the help of a few Leo yais.
Man, I've been living in China for close to a decade and I've seen a lot! People coming and going, having difficult time adjusting. Honeymoon coming to a screeching halt. Police being called on expats for flipping out and smashing things. Yes, it's easy to get lost. I've been to Phuket a bunch of times and it is also an escape of sorts for me. Well, if you're gonna drink yourself to death or just get completely lost, Thailand is not the worst place to do it in.@@jameswright8529
Afterall wherever you go, there you are…
Dude! You're hittin it out of the park with this one! Brilliant 👏
Thank you! Cheers!😎😻
Great story, great production Pat. Loved the colours and effects in post also. I look forward to the next one…🙏🙏🙏
Great one my friend. Poor Andy 🙂Looking forward to the next case.
Cheers mate, you're a natrual at this acting game, can't wait for the sequel😎👻😻
The quality of content of this production is within easy reach of deserving a major production series on Netflix or similar platform. Could Bangkok Pat become a professional PI detective actor in the future? If anyone in the industry is watching this episode and reading this comment, a professional series production should be pursued with Pat as lead actor and simultaneous scouting locator.
Great story, excellent video production, the most unique UA-cam video I've watched in years.
Thanks a lot Adrian 😎😻
Let’s just say I can relate. 😊 Brilliant telling, brilliant build up, fabulous acting. Now we need more!
More to come! Thanks for the kind words!

Cracking script and fabulous movie-making! Enjoyed this inmensely.
Fantastic story, Thank you for putting all the work in the video. It made my day
That was unexpected fun ! Dude you are talented and it's appreciated.
Love that intro music. Sounds a little like Thriller, just more contemporary
Magnificent story, acting, photography and production Pat! Love that opening rainy scene, and also many others. Way above what I was expecting… you must expand these efforts, so good in so many ways! 5 stars!
You look great with long hair Pat. Such a great story and acting skills. So well done 👏
Cheers Bruce. The wig can be retired for a while now, until the next instalment.
I am looking forward to the next time you put it back on .@@BangkokPat
So many stories like this. It’s kind of insane Pharangs haven’t found out about Thailand yet, even after decades living there 🦤
Absolutely agree😎
Guess it’s everywhere in Asia but in Thailand, it’s particularly nasty 🥲
I have found your channel a few days ago. It’s really great!
I would recommend you to upload some of your old videos to get more exposure. For example the Halloween one now that it’s that silly time of the year again. Also the one of Bangkok sinking, rainy season again. Also about the red districts areas.
I would keep them a bit shorter, at 20 minutes… 37 minutes for Nana? Ehh really? 🤣
Keep the good work! 💪🏼
Cheers, good idea to reupload Halloween!
@@BangkokPatMaybe add some more horror stories, plenty of them
All over Southeast Asia is full of these stories. There are places where taxi drivers don’t go in Singapore during the Hungry Ghosts Festival 👻
@@BangkokPatAn idea for an episode would be about Thai women cutting their partners member because of jealousy. I don’t know if this rumour is true or not. My Japanese friend told me his girlfriend would sleep with a knife under her pillow. I was also told about a case of a woman cutting the top of her man’s thing, throwing to the chickens, then the guy going around to collect “it” and then going to the hospital.
Maybe a nice Halloween subject? 🤨 🔪
"You can take the girl out of the bar, but it's impossible to take the bar out of the girl..." from a famous author of books about Thailand.

Thanks for your touching stories and great videos, BKK Pat. BTW, I had invested some good location condos near to bts, always happy and love BKK Kap !!! 🙏💕
My wife was ACTUALLY a cashier in a bar….dodgy, suspect, crazy, gold digger…….well ACTUALLY, we’ve been happily married for 19 years with two lovely children, and guess what, in all that time her poverty stricken family have NEVER asked me for a penny…..guess I must just be lucky?…..hmmm
Glad to hear that David, be aware that what Lazy Eye Jason says is not the gospel truth.
@@BangkokPat got that Pat, ditto my comment….
@@michaelchristophergutierre7244 thanks, best woman in the world
@@michaelchristophergutierre7244 thanks, I don’t consider I got lucky, I’m just not stupid……I’ve met hundreds of Thai girls but I proved I can spot a keeper……and btw, in case some are wondering, she was stunning looking and still is…..farmers daughter from Udon Thani as it transpired.
I think that little support for her old mother or father is not a wrong thing and till you doing it from heart and nobody push on you is ok. Here in Europe all my past girls always cost me something, but never gives that much in exchange. I think woman that cost you nothing is a real pink unicorn.

Superb viewing. Thank You forever!
Sequel end of September with a couple of screenings...
Love it! I hope you create a series of these.
Good on ya, Pat - another entertaining vid. 👍🏻
You're an artist, as well as a documentary filmmaker.
You capture something about Thailand, Bangkok, "the life" and "the game" that I cannot describe but one knows it when they see it. The story made me sick to my stomach and deeply interested at the same time. Just the right balance of insight while admitting that like allof us, sometimes you have gone with the flow or fought the flow to you detriment (whether any of this story is true or not). I was totally absorbed. Thank you. All the best.
Thanks Louis😻👻
As always, it was very entertaining, mate!

Enjoyed this . Nobody knows the population of Bangkok , but it's estimated that the population of Thailand is around 69 million , you may have a problem finding Lek .

Holy mackerel! Forget all your normal content of walking around BKK. This video was incredible! Super interesting and compelling. Could you dream up a completely different story each week?
Would love to do one of these a week!
Really good and entertaining work! @@BangkokPat
The concept alone of bringing a Bangkok tale to life is fantastic but your execution elevates it even higher. I've always said you have a creative eye for framing and composition and it was a delight to see that brought to life in this dramatization. The story is not only entertaining but the portrayal of Bangkok through the lens of the expat is well rendered. Thank you--again--for all your hard work and making time watching your work time well spent. Of course, I cannot say enough about the supporting cast you assembled in service to the starring wig: There are no small roles...only crooked parts. Can't wait for the next installment. Cheers!

WHY NOT MILLIONS OF VIEWS??
UA-cam is not about how "good" your content is. They push the content that will do better commercially thus getting more ads to more people. So if I was to sell out and do trendier content I'd get more views

Pat I watched this twice today with my thai sweetheart and being a Sth London cocker I found it hilarious, I think because of the obvious audacity and the cockney tune to it all and to see Rob pictured like some sort of mug was so funny mate this vlog is pure gold 55555
It's a bit of a homage really, and as you're a Londoner you get the slight comedy leanings and tone. I was also a big fan of Minder but stopped short of putting any rhyming slang in, its a very multinational audience! Funny seeing the serious and angry comments from those who felt they had their fingers burnt on this one, l never claimed it was a true story but they are thinking l'm passing it off as gospel truth...
@@BangkokPat My mate used to work on the film set of Minder and I got to meet some of the stuntmen in the film game wow what a mad bunch Pat !
