    In 1986 I was 10, My dad worked at Andrews Air Force base and was friends with a bunch of the guys who flew the F-4's . I went to an air show there and one of his friends had me climb up into the F-4 and I got to taxi down the runway sitting on his lap. Greatest day ever. First thing he said and I will remember it forever. Please do not touch anything..lol

      Ehhh avoid putting personal details online man. You're inadvertently leaking information about yourself on the wide open internet. In this case your birth year. That's a data point for hackers to use.

    I have always loved the way the F4 looks. It is a beautiful aircraft.

      Yes. They really look incredibly Bad Ass. Scary, yet you can't look away. Muscle cars from that era had that same aura of monstrous beauty. Like a dark, malevolent Gothic aesthetic. Dangerous beauty you dare not provoke.

    I came in right as the F-4 was being phased out. It was by far the loudest aircraft I've ever been around.

      Louder than the F-15? We have those at the Portland International airport and they are loud as hell man. I’m behind the buildings and I have to plug my ears.

      @@jellymopI don't think anything is as loud as the F-15, I was working in Darwin, Aus during the Pitch Black exercises, we were right underneath the final turn onto the runway, 500ft max I would say and man the Singaporean F-15s would make everything shake violently and just so damn loud, even inside our building you couldn't have a conversation with the person next too you while the we're landing.

    One of the best looking aircraft in history in my opinion. Powerful and beautiful looking. Huge engines with angled wings... It is just an iconic one that nobody will forget.

      Turkey should keep that particular aircraft airworthy for as long as possible. Great for air shows.

      @thekraken1173 5 годин тому +1

      @@timonsolus They are not used for airshows, these F4's are too old and risky for that. They just did a special formation flight to commemorate 50 years of service.

      @timonsolus 4 години тому +1

      @@thekraken1173 : Too old and risky? LOL. The British RAF still fly a Hurricane, a Spitfire, and Lancaster bomber from WW2 - those are 30+ years older than the F-4.

    I got to see the Thunderbirds fly the Phantoms during an airshow at Keesler AFB. At 18 I was really impressed. Then a year later I was over in Thailand working on them. I got to watch them take off at night on full afterburner.

    After fews research and studying abouts fews models US made jets, f5e freedom fighter is the best of the best for all jets born on the same era. F20 tiger sharks olso powerfull then f16 even having shorter ranges then f16.
    F5e freedom fighters is builds on the frames with multiples upgraded and modified capabilities and for me, F5E FREEDOM FIGHTERS STILL OWNED THE BETTER PERFORMANCE THEN F16 WERE SOMES UPGRADES, MODIFYING, ENGINE REPLACEMENT WITH LATEST POWERFULL MODERN AND EFFICIENT ENGINE CAPABLE TO REACHING MACH1.8, LATEST AVIONICS WITH MOUNTED HELMET, AIR TO AIR CAPABILITIES USING LATEST MISSILES FOR BVR WITH MINOR MODIFIED AND REDESIGNED FUEL TANK, STRUCTURES STRENGTHEN WILL MAKES F5E MORE DEADLY THEN F15EX.

They took German Planes and brought them to America, and America created today's Aviation Industry! I don't understand why there is a problem when other states do this! Don't forget that copying is a skill! 10 years ago, everyone was making fun of Turkey's Drone Technology! It is currently one of the countries that produces the best Drones in the world!
