    Update: after many rides night rides. The front lights are very poor on this model, you'll need to get a powerful LED headlight for areas with no street lights or it's damn dangerous with just the two front lower LEDs.

  • @osheathedj

    I got one of these and I am appalled at some of the build quality. The suspension arms appear to be cast from crappy pot metal, there is TONS of play in the front end to the point of me having metal shavings on the deck after the first ride, the electronics package is lame and doesn't beep to confirm anything, and tons of other minor stuff that adds up. The front end thing is TERRIBLE when you consider how strong this is. I'm likely going to have to modify mine to make the front end stronger (which will likely eliminate the ability to fold it up) and see if that helps. Because right now the front end chatter over bumps and sidewalk lines is horrible. I was really excited to get my twin but it's been a huge letdown.

    50 km/h is crazy fast on a scooter. But the fact this thing exists at almost half the price what most scooters are going for. Is simply wonderful. Two motors, two independent suspension really good range and good brakes. Let's not forget the small form factor. What more could you ask for. I wonder if switch the tires would that make it possible to use this on rougher or looser surfaces.

      You do have to be very safe. The big issue is if the front wheel hits a pot hole you go over face first. So you have to try to watch out of holes in the road etc. Overall I prefer ebikes, larger safer wheels. But damn this escooter is so much fun!

      @@Techtablets with suspension is not a problem (own Splach Ranger for over 2 years/ 1500 miles on it), however I am little worried about firm front tire comparing to air tire on Ranger. That might be crutial difference. (air tire + suspension works like a charm). Mine twin is on order already. Ruby Red.

    • @Techtablets

      The big thing for me is to be very careful in the wet especially with the front wheel drive and hard tire. It was very easy to spin the front and loose traction. At speeds that will be very dangerous, I would stick to only rear wheel drive in the wet or damp roads.

    I like the review, however CON cannot be play at handlebars because you did not adjust the little screw. When you do that, on that system there is no play. Other aspects of the review are great. All in all, i love the review and the scoot

    • @EvNerds
      @EvNerds 2 роки тому +1

      @@Techtablets Hy man, what you do actually is not tighten the screw. You actually turn a bit to the side and the screw is going out, not inside. That way it stiffens the system. Please check with any escoot sales, they will explain better. It is a funny system and should work. You can check on internet for example: emove cruiser. Ut has the same style handlebar. Read their manual or check video for adjustment...i am pretty sure you got things wrong. Ofcourse i do not have the scoot, so i may be wrong.

  • @MrKemby13
    @MrKemby13 2 роки тому +3

    It's a VSETT8+ clone... I really doubt it can go 50km with a full battery, real-world will be below 20km. I'm not just saying this, i own a VSETT8 with single 600W motor and the same battery capacity as this clone, i can hardly go above 30km with one charge. Keep in mind, i am light weight (70kg) but i mostly drive in 3rd gear with full throttle, also i drive mostly on side-road with fair amount of jumps. Another thing is, rear full tire CAN be a positive thing (not nessecerily) but a full front tire is not a great thing to have IMO. It being so hard it can easily cause instabilities while driving on bumpy roads or gravel.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  2 роки тому +3

      Well I killed it with my first charge in 27km far from their claim. That was at least 80% in dual motor mode. And some eco and mode at least. What really hit the battery was my 100% throttle climb tests, without those climbs I could have gotten more. But I also so that if you go slow with Eco and one motor mode only the range seems like 8-9km per battery bar that I could get. That front where when using dual motor can be dangerous for sure it will slip on light dust, dirt and gravel. And in the wet will the front slips in turbo mode, so only rear-wheel drive is a viable option on wet roads.

    • @MrKemby13
      @MrKemby13 2 роки тому

      @TechTablets Yeah, and i forgot to mention i never actually depleted my battery all the way. I always tend to leave at least 20% before I charge, cuz you know I want it to last... Another thing, this will most probably be my first and last e-scooter with a full tire, even though it is the back tire which is less important when it comes to cornering and grip, but still important...

      @@MrKemby13 what does it mean when you say full tires? What's the drawback of full tires?

    • @MrKemby13
      @MrKemby13 2 роки тому

      @@nbkw48 Well, it means exactly what it says - a full tire is a tire without any air inside, it's made fully out of rubber... Positive side is that you can't puncture it ofcourse, but the negative side is questionable handling, esp. at higher speeds and/or bumpy roads. Full tire can be a big downside depending on the type of road you are mostly driving on. For me it is a downside because it rattles on bumps instead of soaking them up (i hope you can understand what i mean)... Then again, i can live with a full back tire, but the front tire must be pneumatic IMO.

      Law in countries should catch up.
      I’d much rather take this than the car - and it’s much greener too

      It's legal here in the 25km/h eco mode. And it can be limited to 25km/h max. However I just did the speed to in that carpark to see how fast it could really go. I never did that in the street far too dangerous.

      Very green and all we need is them to be all limited to 25km/h so it's within the law.

      @@Techtablets To be honest, although fun, it's very dangerous in my opinion. The wheels are to small and make it instable. People should stay away from them, especially teenagers and younger kids.

      Scooters have always been dangerous look at the manual kick scooters with super tiny wheels yet some kids go down step roads at very quick speeds. I prefer bikes and that my two girls have a bike over a scooter.
