    She's not wrong. My wife and I with our first child I only made like 28-32k and we were fine with her staying at home. And our expenses have barely changed, even though our income has increased substantially.

      You have no idea how many women have played their husbands thinking it's their sons or daughter when really it's been the wife's deadbeat side dude kids the whole time..The wife will keep the secret and stay with the husband because he provides to take care of the kids. While the broke deadbeat side dude keeps on pumpin!!!!... This happen s more often than you think. It just gets overlooked. So many content creators only show the negative extremes to make more money which eventually messes with ppl's perceptions of real life. Even the ppl who think 6 fig is realistic is due to the financial extremes & lavish lifestyle ppl push online to get clicks.

      I was giving birth to my third child and my doctor was switched because we had been in the hospital all night through to the morning and our doctor’s shift was over. The new doc comes in and asks me, in front of my husband, if my other children were born by the same man. My husband was PISSED. To even insinuate the possibility that there had ever been another man in the picture was gross. She also tried to push an unnecessary C-section surgery on me and was just an all around horrible person, so we called for a second opinion while I was in labor, and the doctor who left came back just to deliver my baby naturally for me.

Men who assume all women sleep around, have kids with multiple baby daddies, and expect a man to make $400,000 a year, clearly have never spent time outside of the city. Go to the Midwest, the South or anywhere else that does not have a reputation for skanktom, and there are plenty of normal women.

      @ScissorsSir Yes and no, I think a better statement would be something like:
      He is trying to find a way to portray her in a bad light because that's his business model... His income is (probably) based on making videos like this where he finds examples of women who have negative behaviour stereotypes, and he specifically looks for those because that content is what his target demographic engages with most.
      So while he himself might be "chronically online", here I think it's more accurate to say he's catering to his audience. He still shouldn't ask those rude and leading questions to her though.

    15:30 I once confessed to my very close guy friend and got rejected, but that didn't end our friendship because the fact that we liked each other as friends didn't change. I personally don't understand why I should forfeit a good relationship because I can't have it exactly the way I want it. Obviously there's sadness and awkwardness following an unsuccessful confession, but ending a friendship because of that makes little sense to me.
    For the same reasons I'm still friends with my ex with whom I lived for almost 10 years. With time our priorities ended up diverging and, although the break-up was far from easy, through self-analysis and forgiveness we have been able to overcome our negative emotions and keep caring for each other.
    I also experienced the end of a friendship because I rejected the guy, and it was a hurtful experience. Years later he told me that he regretted cutting me off.

    16:40 The girl is not wrong, a lot of guys start a "friendship" with a secondary intention; when girls kinda notice, we sometimes choose not to say a word about it because we know the friendship will be "ruined".
    And this guy saying "the goal was not friendship, the goal was to be with you, and that is not happening, then why would I be around?" is pretty f up. You are telling me that
    1. you were being dishonest this entire time by making me believe we were friends
    2. you are just a kid that will throw a tantrum when he does not get what he wants (and again.. wants, has no right to it).. That entire thing is awful..
    Like, you want to walk away after I said no, no problem, but take it as it is.. Im not the mean one, you simply did not have the courage to ask me to my face if I would be interested in going out with you, and DECIDED to make me believe you were interested in a friendship, that's on you, don't try to make me the villain of your story.

      This comment is exactly on point. Blog entry but a few years ago I went through a rough break-up and was single for the first time in about two years. When men in my social network suddenly started being extremely nice to me, I told myself it was just an effort to be supportive because it had been a rough break-up, and that suspecting anyone had ulterior motives reflected poorly on me, not them. Finding out otherwise really troubled me and impacted my ability to trust 'good samaritans'. Men respond to getting 'friend zoned' like it's an act of unspeakable cruelty, but to me what felt cruel was getting abandoned because 'just being friends' was all I wanted, and that wasn't good enough for them.

    • @Hawishh
      @Hawishh 4 дні тому +3

      I think it’s fair. You can have friendships with the goal of them being friendships, but if your goal was to build a relationship with someone it’s completely reasonable to decide to cut it out if it doesn’t work the way you thought. People shouldn’t feel like they should keep something that hurts them. it goes for both genders too, if you want something out of a relationship and you aren’t getting that, it’s not selfish to cut it off, just communicate that directly with the person and end it maturely.

    • @middproxxy6790
      @middproxxy6790 4 дні тому +2

      OTOH, there's the far more common scenario that romantic feelings developed along the way of the friendship (because why/how would anyone be genuinely attracted to someone they wouldn't even consider as a friend in the first place), and when they're confessed the reaction is "so you just wanted to get in my pants and were faking a friendship all along???", and when the rejected person needs to step away to do healing and emotional damage control of their own (because a kindly given slap is still a slap), then they're suddendly "showing their true colors by abandoning the person they wanted to become romantically involved with, because that's clearly the only thing they wanted all along". SMH.

    • @saiyamoru
      @saiyamoru 4 дні тому +2

      @@middproxxy6790 It would be perceived very differently if it was just 'stepping away for a little while to heal', but I think in most experiences like OP & myself were talking about, the 'step away' isn't temporary, and the hurt feelings are used as justification for completely abandoning the relationship. The number of times men actively lash out or villainize the former object of their affections because they feel 'led on' shouldn't be dismissed, either, because that's the equivalent of someone 'slapping' you accidentally and with full regret and then you returning the blow intentionally at full force out of spite.
      It's understandable to get your feelings hurt because romantic inclinations aren't reciprocated but the fact that so many men justify abandoning the platonic relationship entirely afterwards is shockingly immature. I've confessed to someone before and gotten shot down, too, it stung but I'm still friends with them to this day. I had to decide whether I valued having them in my life more than I valued my own bruised ego. I'm not going to say hanging out afterwards wasn't awkward at first and I definitely didn't get over my feelings fast, but I'm so glad that I did because the dude's like a brother to me now, if I ever got into a serious emergency he'd be someone I know I could call on, come hell or high water.
      The hurt feelings were worth getting over.

    • @ibechuu9695
      @ibechuu9695 3 дні тому

      @middproxxy6790. You're on point I agree with you. Let's not pretend that feelings can't just develop over time. It's happened to me, and I was lucky enough that the feelings were mutual. And then there like a few moments where I wasn't so lucky. And then the same would happen to me in the reserve way. Speaking on the hetero sense. There's also a few specific ones where I was able to retain the friendship after being in the relationship.
      It just depends on the maturity level of each, and keeping things as genuine as possible. It's not impossible to cross this line and not be friends in the end if you handle things level headed. And there's absolutely nothing wrong for asking for space to let that process flow.
      What isn't okay is to act immature off of the response of rejection, but needing space to heal should be understood. Yes, in some cases some guys (and girls let's be fair here) go into friendship with a crush with a "secret plan", but let's not place all of them into the same bucket.

    As a girl when another girl describes a guy’s behavior, as “mean”, I interpret that as threatening, violence, or vindictive. The term “mean” is always less than what it actually is, it’s normally direct and intentional. Lots malice.
    When it comes to guys being “cold”, that’s described as the actions that they’re doing. He’s not talking to me. He’s ignoring my text messages. He walked past me like I didn’t exist. Those are how cold are described from my experience.
    Guys, being “cold” causes more anxiety than fear, but guys being “mean”, causes more fear than anxiety.

But you may onl enjoy a friendship, while they came in day one with the intent to get with you. That even start picturing their entire future with you. And the moment you reality check them and they realize you only want a friendship all thet can turn to malice and hate. All because they cannot live with the simple fact that one does not chose who you feel attracted to and fall for. Nor that just being nice or do kind acts does not entitle you to anything.

      That is YOUR interpretation, though. Nothing against you, it's a fair assessment and it makes sense. But I have heard many different interpretations of what being mean like is (yes, from girls). So, it could literally be anything. Like stopping making her the center of the world and not caving in to everything like before. This change of posture also hits hard to a lot of girls who the guy was giving special treatment, and this special treatment stops, and the guy just treats her, well... normally.

    I love how they talked about how when you’re poor you find ways to survive. It made me think of my Grandma who passed last year but she lived through the Great Depression. But when I was in high school we were driving down the road and she screamed for us to pull over and my mom her daughter slammed on the brake and pulled over. My 80 year old grandma hopped out of the car and ran down the banking to a pile produce boxes and going through them. She than started yelling with joy for us to come help her load them into the car. In total there were 12 boxes of cucumbers, onions and peppers I never saw my grandma this happy before. We got back to her place and spent the next 8 hours making relish out of the produce from the boxes from the side of the road. my whole family on my moms side showed up and it was a day to celebrate my aunts and uncles all came by to help and bring the all the other items to make the relish. This story was told at my grandma funeral and the whole family laughed about it my now wife who was new to the family at the time was shocked by the story and confused why we were so happy about finding and eating half rotten vegetables. That’s when it really kicked in that we were raised poor because my grandma lost a brother during the great depression so she handed down ways to survive even during bad times and those same habits were passed down to me and my siblings.

    i think the main issue is many men lie that they want to be friends with you when they don't. it's not like the realization is instant. maybe for some women, it is. but for me, most of the time, it takes time to realize or to be sure, "oh, they are interested in me in THAT way". so like if the original intention is friendship, and THEN you have a crush on your actual friend, even if you are rejected, you still want to be friend with them. like maybe you would nurse your broken heart away for awhile but then you will come back to them as friends again.
    AND THAT THE MASSIVE DIFFERENT between those who lie and those who are real about their friendship. how do i know this? because believe it or not, many girls and women do get crushes on their male friends too!
    and you know what else? when the friendship is real, sometimes, you just ignore your feelings because you value that friendship more than a romantic relationship. that's why i really really hate it when boy and men lie about their friendship and then complain about girls and women think of them as jerks for not wanting to remain friends. they don't realize they are at the same level as scammers

      Because it's awkward to stay after confessing to your female friend.
      Friendship unexpectedly goes to romance, guy confesses, is rejected.
      Guy leaves because hanging around will bring up unwanted feelings of what could have been.
      He leaves, no longer friends with the girl, and all is in peace.

      @oompalumpus699 the point is still that if you felt an attraction to someone, why act like you wanna be friends. If you wanted to be someone's friend, being rejected after getting feelings wouldn't diminish the friendship. You're just lying to yourself to get closer. That's so fake to do to a girl to be in her life, say you have the hots for her when you knew she didn't feel the same, then ditch her cuz you didn't get what you wanted. Literally just stay out of a female's life if you can only view them romantically

    • @AirashiiTiayou
      @AirashiiTiayou 2 місяці тому +29

      I was looking for a comment on this. I 100% agree. Like, if you are going into the relationship with the intention of potentially dating, that's a different thing than if you just are friends with no intention of romance and then one of you catches feelings.
      Like I get it if for the person with feelings it's too painful for them to continue spending time around that person, but for me, I'd rather enjoy the good times with the other person and still enjoy their company in the ways that I can despite knowing it will never lead anywhere, because I care about them a as a person and not just a romantic partner. I actually have a friend that I know loves me that way and we've both had a conversation about it. The real thing is that, really, it doesn't actually change anything about your relationship to that person, their feelings existed before the convo and it wasn't awkward, so why does it have to be awkward after? The only reason that guys say it's awkward is because they are expecting the other person to reciprocate even after rejection and then they get upset. Why can't they just enjoy spending time with them and look for romance elsewhere?
      I also have another friend that I technically have feelings for, but I also know that we would not be compatible in a romantic relationship. They are fully aware of my feelings, but nothing has changed for us. I still love spending time with them and so do they, we just are aware that what we have is as far as it will go and we are okay with that.
      I mean, now that I think about it, really the person who has feelings is really the one that is being selfish by expecting that their friend will reciprocate feelings and that they need to after they've confessed. Expecting someone else to give you what you want despite their feelings is just... rude.

    • @Aeo267
      @Aeo267 2 місяці тому

      @@oompalumpus699I’ve had it happen to me before, and it was upsetting. I thought I had made a friend, didn’t realize the guy was into me, then after he confessed and I rejected him, he said he didn’t want to be friends anymore.
      It hurt because I really valued our friendship, and I felt like I wasn’t valued at all as a friend, only as a potential partner.
      I get why it’s hard on the guy, but it sucks for both parties.
      And this is a consistent problem, even when I lay out my boundaries early on. I could say outright that I’m not interested in a romantic relationship, and thus feel confident that both of us just want to build a friendship.
      Then, if I start getting the feeling the other person has romantic interest in me, I try to ignore it because I already said I wasn’t interested and I don’t want to bring it up first. If they do confess, I get dropped the moment I don’t return romantic interest, even when I made it clear from the start that what I wanted a friend.
      At the very least, if somebody says they aren’t looking for a partner, take their word for it and don’t assume that’s going to change for you. Figure out boundaries and control yourself. Maintain healthy platonic friendships. Idk. I’ve never been in love, I’m not sure how hard it is. I’m probably being an ass. But dammit this has happened one too many times and it’s frustrating to have someone you thought of as a friend change up on you so quickly.

I get that the man may be hurt and wants to protect his feelings and not be reminded of them whenever we see each other. But did our meaningful connection mean nothing to you if I'm not gonna sleep with you, too? Witnessed the dating scene change first-hand. It culminated when fb and myspace got big. Every impressionable kid in the world was on it. Little girls learned how to exploit their bodies to a high degree. Little boys felt like they had to have the most attractive girl in the world to be cool. This made boys meet whatever requirements a girl had, to date. This gave the girls all the power and the girls exploited it heavily. Those kids are young adults in their mid to late 20s now and things have hardly changed. Good thing is a lot of people like you and me weren't affected by this so there's still hope. The only solution is to bring the problem to light because the young adults don't realize the damage they are causing. There's a huge divide between young men and women right now. I think only 27% of men globally are in a relationship right now. Men feel used and taken advantage of and finally know how to express it to the entire world, which is why "women hate" videos have been going viral the past few years. Social media culture literally ruined society- created so much jealousy and selfishness. People aren't normal anymore. To the point it's surprising when someone is normal.

    A point on the women and men being friends thing... I don't meet people on dating apps. I tend to meet people at social events and if we click, we click. I'll usually wear a wedding ring and make it a point to adjust my glasses a couple of times with that hand while making eye contact. It's been the easiest way for me to avoid expectations I don't want put on me. I hate that I have to do it, but a lot of men have no respect for the idea that a single woman isn't always on the menu. I have a lot of hobbies that are popular with men and I don't need them thinking I'm there looking for love. If there's any misunderstandings I just say I'm married and show the ring. If they're good people with good intentions they back off fast.

      Im a man and most of my closest friend are men, but my social circle as a whole is 50/50 with women and men.
      I have never understood why some people think men and women cant be friends. Like what?
      It requires a person to have some sort of prejudice, man or woman to not see the fact that you dont have to do anything special just be your damn self. If you like a person, chill with them. If you notice you catch feelings, tell them honestly but not forcefully or in a way that makes you seem desperate.
      Its natural that people will catch feelings when being with people for an extended period of time but there is no shame in being told no.
      If you were actual friends, you get over it and move on.
      I know this comes from me growing up around strong women and strong men and having female cousins that I hung with alot.
      Fear of rejection and abandonment is horrible, believe me I know this.
      But I know that those feelings do not actually come from the women in my life. My mind told me that because im a heterosexual male and want women to like me obviously.
      So when they didnt, or atleast I believed so at the time, I became bitter.
      But I realized that this low sense of self-worth and fear of rejection comes from the bullying I experienced as a child. And those bullies were dudes, as they mostly are.
      Its easy for men to blame women for everything and I dont wanna sound like a meek capitalist girlboss male feminist but its just facts.
      The best words I have ever heard from someone came from a very good female friend when she told me that i am a beautiful person because I think she saw how hard I am on myself, that stuck with me and those words still ring in my head sometimes when the world tries to fuck with me

    2:15 Yeah, definitely have to consider where you're at and their circumstances. Notice that when listing expenses, she didn't mention "mortgage?" Probably already paid for ... my daughter has a home in Arkansas, a town of about 30K population. It's about 1600 sq.ft., 4 bedrooms, 1/2 acre lot ... and she owns the home free and clear, paid by her grandmother. She owns her car outright too; no more car payments. My mortgage is a significant part of my expenses, but my last apartment before I became a homeowner, I could have lived (and did) on 35K a year.
    So, if you don't need to worry about rent/mortgage, and all you need are groceries, toiletries, and utilities, 30K a year can easily be enough. You're not living extravagantly, but you have enough to meet your needs with some room to spare.

    What you said about niceness is exactly what I heard from guys about me as a girl. 100% that I'm too nice, that they think is signifies I would be a pushover and they want excitement and I could be boring. They didn't even know me well, it's a vibe a person gives off. Being older now I understand there is healing to be done. There is some trauma response that people pick up on.
    To all the "nice" people:
    You go out to the world from your house that maybe wasn't extremely abusive, so it's not so obvious. Maybe your household revolved around someone's mood and well-being. Maybe your sibling revolted against this power dynamic and maybe your burden was to tune in and act according to the needs of the person. All your life you learnt how to serve other people's emotional needs. It's a coping mechanism that has root in fear. It's ingrained in you so you take it with you to the world. People outside your household see this fear based niceness and are repulsed by it.
    I the words of Dr JP you need to grow teeth and set boundaries. Healing is the key. And in the end you will learn the difference between "niceness" and kindness.

      So true. Nice observations. When I was teaching a few years ago in a challenging high school, I had noticed that the boys who grew with a single mother were the ones who would be really into alpha stuff. They were not necessarily traumatized or abused but they grew around women and were looking for a model of masculinity, going for extremes because that’s easily available and them just stereotyping a lot because they are influenceable teenagers. I wonder if they grew out of it or stayed that way. A lot has to do with how you grew and what was missing. Maybe you missed nothing.

    My parents had 7 kids together and they raised us on a 30-35k salary in the early to late 2000's. We grew up in NYC. My mom was a stay-at-home mom. We were poor, but I had a decent childhood. We lived below our mean. No buying unnecessary things. Everything we bought was 100% needed. All food was homecooked. Maybe once or twice a year, we would have McDolands or Chinese takeout.
    Every month my dad would buy soap, deodorant, toothpaste, rice, pasta, oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, tomato paste, brown mustard, potatoes, frozen veggies, chicken, and red meat, in bulk and on sale. That was pretty much 95% of the groceries we needed. Then every week my dad would give my mom $25 to buy any extra we needed. She would buy eggs, bread, milk, and basic produce (bell pepper, carrots, and cabbage). We never bought full-priced clothes. Always the clearance section, and we only bought good quality. Nothing cheap that will get destroyed quickly. My mom would also sew us new clothes and repair old clothes. My dad didn't believe in credit cards, so he never had one. All the things we had, he bought with what we had.
    EDIT:
    Wow! Y'all can't read and can y'all can't do math. I said early to late 2000's not the 90's. The early to late 2000's is not 20-30 years ago. Even though the cost of living was way cheaper back then, it's still difficult raising 7 kids on a 30-35k salary without having financial literacy. Especially living in NYC. Regardless, my parents still made it work. The point was to motivate you guys to start cutting back and living within your means. To learn to buy what's necessary and be satisfied with that. I explained how my parents did it so you can get an idea on how you can do it for yourselves. That's the whole point!
    Most of yall are single making 30k on average. If my parents can raise 7 kids with that amount, you can support yourselves. I live alone and I'm surviving just fine because I don't spend my money on useless things. I just started making about 35-40k this year. Even when I was making about 25k, I was fine. I'm extremely happy partly because I'm satisfied with the minimum. Mostly because I realized something most people don't. That nothing really matters but God. If you can learn to let go of worldly things and put your hope in Jesus, you will have true peace. You will be in a storm, and be shocked at calm you are. That's been my reality. Most of you will roll your eyes at me mentioning God, but while y'all are busy arguing non-sense I'm in peace living a happy life with no regrets. When that financial crash in 2025 comes, a lot of y'all are going to be so miserable because your hearts are so attached to worldly things. Do yourselves a favor and let go of these fickle things while you can. Learn to live humbly, and surrender your worries to God. You will be fine. Everything about this world is fickle. Only one thing is sure, and that's Jesus. You have been warned.
