Federico was definitely believable as Furio. The first interview I saw with him after watching the show shocked me when I heard him speaking without an accent. I thought he really had that accent.
Not just the accent, the neapolitan/campanian dialect too.
I was about to write this exact comment. It was phenomenal acting.
@@redtree8254 After all he was born there, grew up with the language from his parents..don't think it was too hard for him tbh..
Everyone assumed they casted him right out of Italy simply to be authentic. And Federico being as talented as he is became Furio in every way. The language and the accent, there's countless actors who could have pulled it off but Federico's body language and that elusive thing you can't put a name on, he so nails it. You can study immigrants as he obviously did growing up where he did but true talent has a way of getting through your perceptions and breaks into your sub-concious mind. I literally did know he wasn't from Italy until years after seeing the show so the scene where he's telling Carmella how when he went back home he felt like a foreigner, i get goosebumps thinking about it. I know about as much about acting as I do astro-physics lol but art is art. When it's perfectly done there's no explanation needed you get in right in your soul. The majority of actors, even great actors, you can tell when they're stressing to put an emotion or feeling across but Federico WAS so Furio in every way that I was floored when learned his true identity so to speak lol
@@K131399 Furio speaks English this well? WTF...I feel lied to!😤
Insane hearing him without the accent, he is such a talented guy.
I just commented on Micheal's pinned comment that I had no idea he was American. Dude totally had me convinced he was native Italian.
@@trentbobo4171 me too!!!! Glad I'm not the only one!!!
@@weezy66 I'm so embarrassed I only know Federico from The Sopranos . After looking him up on imbd, dude is stacked with credits. I'm creating a Playlist right now of movies he's been in
@@trentbobo4171 that's awesome! I'll be doing the same this coming weekend
@@trentbobo4171 he was born in Naples
When the Frenchman who robbed Artie opens the door and Furio is standing there…no words, just a quick twitch of the eye. Pure power and intimidation. Brilliant.
"Up in the Club"
I often wondered if Furio had to get physical with him or if he just handed it over.
@Jon Harrison exactly this … if you go by how Furio carried himself thru the rest of the series .. this reaction lines up exactly with how Furio dealt with past due debt lol
One of my favourite screenshot
@@RichWeigel furio didn’t have to, but he did anyway.
No one could have played the part of "Furio Giunta" better than Federico Castelluccio, he was sensational, the best..
I was so mad when Furio left the series. Totally loved him. Great talent
So was Carm 😂
I actually enjoyed his time in the series and was glad he wasent clipped
I think it worked out for the best.
I originally thought he was an Italian actor that they recruited. Talented guy.
I thought the same. Clearly his family is straight up from Italy
@@CinCee- He was born in Napoli and his family moved to the US when he was 3.
He is Italian born in Italy.
As a Paterson, NJ native, l grew up very near Frederico's stomping grounds on 21st Ave. We both began an acting career in theater around the same time though l am four years older. A very well spoken man and the finest actor to ever play on The Sopranos.
I'm from Clark, and an old girlfriend went to Berkeley Business school. Also the home of the great Lou Costello....
Federico, for a person who speaks perfect English, you do the best Italian accent I have ever heard, and I am a full blooded Italian.
The way Michael keeps calling him Furio makes me laugh. 😂
Frederico just let’s it slide 😏
I bet everybody calls him Furio like a nickname
Frederico was so convincing as the character Furio
Foodio!
@Johnny Caruthers Still sharp imo
My favorite quality of Furio is that you could tell he was a good hearted good natured guy, but when it was time for him to handle business as an enforcer he was extremely vicious. I think compartmentalizing is very common for a person in that position. This guy was very authentic. I was blown away to here him speak without the accent. I really thought he was a zip.
Mr. Franzese, I want you to know that you are doing a lot of good in the world now. You’re helping people in lots of different ways. You have the best redemption story in the last 50 years. God bless you and your family.
Yep. He's a good fella.
@@guthax30 Yea. He's a friend of ours
Furio has some great lines on The Sopranos. My favorite one was when Tony thinks he's going to be indicted for the Matt Bevilaqua murder and Furio tells him "maybe you should go on the lamb chop for a while".
‘Stupidd A Fuckkinn Ah Gamee’
That’s my fav line and scene by Furio … he did a great job throughout the series … and imo Sopranos has STILL yet to be topped in terms of a series around real life (ie. not GOT/period piece) and will probably hold that title for years to come … for me anyway

Federico is such a great actor that the first time I saw him interviewed and heard his real voice, I was shocked. I thought they had hired an actor in Naples! I loved Furio and really missed him when his character left.
Just remember that that potato easily got the better of the fat slob before him
@Johnny Caruthers Well at least the fat slob knows where the potato is everyday and that is killing him🤠
@Johnny Caruthers lmaooo the potato that’s a good one and he really is seriously demented at some point they need to remove him and place him in an elderly care home - too bad before that happens the sealed indictments will come down and he’ll be like uncle junior in the mental house “enchiladas tonight”!! Haha
And again politics are inserted where it's not even up for discussion. Both of you need to shut the eff up and stop ruining a good comment section
@Johnny Caruthers how's that life long M0R0N membership working for you?

Michael I loved your take last week on the state of the political discourse in America
As did I, I feel as he does!
He was spot on
And we need more!
I just hope he doesn't lean too far to the right . Such a wise man should not be propagating such narrow views as they sometimes do.
@@SantomPh Your way off guy, the right is where this country needs to go. The dirt kneeling democrats are to blame for all this mess we're in. They don't stand for their own national anthem, there letting illegals break our laws without making them wear masks, and they promote the racist blm bigots. So yes I hope this country does swing far right, these anti American socialist democrats need to be voted out!
Napolitano and from my home town Paterson NJ. 21st Ave. Federico is one of the best artist 🎨 I have ever seen.
If you watch the scene when he gets shot with subtitles it just says “Furio screams in Italian” 😂
His scene with Carmella when they were dancing is still my favorite sopranos scene of all time.
If Furio brings the same intensity from the Sopranos into your show….. Fughetaboudittt!
It’s gonna be a home run. Awesome sit down Michael. Thank you
I honestly expected to hear a heavy Italian accent. He was so convincing with his role as Furio... I honestly thought his primary language would be Italian and secondary possibly english.
Needless to say.. excellent interview with an amazing actor. Stay safe out there and God bless 🙏
Federico is a true Renaissance man ------- talented and knowledgeable in many areas. I just hope no one burgles his Grand Masters. They should be in a bank or museum.

Mr Franzese, your interviews are now in the
master class category. You are setting the bar so high that IMHO no other interviewer comes close. Thank you for keep us entertained. Bravo!
Absolutely I agree 100%
@@michaelfranzese you're a great interviewer!! I love how u let the interviewer talk!
If you ever come to Chicago there's a bar you would love Richards
Great interview Michael. One comment I wasn’t to make, is that you are a great listener. You ask a question, then let Frederico speak. Many interviews don’t do that. You covered great questions, whereas we as the listeners, got a great complete abbreviated well rounded sense of His life to date. Thank you for another great job
George Scannelli.
Yes like Drew Barrymore! Terrible interview
Furio is my favorite character!
I grieved with Carmella when he left.
There were so many incredible acting performances in that show. Frederico is no exception. Seeing him as himself just reminds you, how exceptional of an actor he was. On that screen he was furio. Dour. Quiet. Stern. Just amazing.
Furio was my favorite on the Sopranos! I was always disappointed he didn’t develop into a bigger character.
Furio was one of the best characters…awesome acting
“Grew up around the guys that did a lot of painting for them“….Says it all.
Another great guest and interview….
Hope he didn't paint houses
What do you mean says it all? doesnt make any sense
What a marvelous talent! Whenever "Furio" was on the screen in The Sopranos, he had my full attention. Great sit down.
Love Federico. He is so kind. Thank you!. Wonderful interview. Love the friendship.
Furio was by far my favorite character. The scene when Carmine crashes the IROC in front of Satriale's and Sil and Furio walk over cracks me up everytime i see it. His Italian is spot on
Federico was superb as Furio! Great actor! Hope to see him on Michael’s upcoming series!
Great interview!!!
BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO ... GREAT INTEVIEW ... Federico, TOCAYO: You are a great actor. Hope to you see you on other Hollywood / European productions.
Furio i seen the show many times and when he enter sopranos i just love it, the way he handles himself and best actor
Federico is an amazing actor with so many talents. Thanks for the great interview!
Furio Giunta was actually my favorite character on the show. A back-story movie or post-Sopranos movie on him would be really cool.
Furio is such an intellectual with a warm heart irl. It is impossible to imagine him hurting people.
Glad you turned your life around . One of the most interesting man on earth , furio too.
Furio was an all time favorite. Low key I felt bad for him when he fell in love with Carmella and also when he slipped on fish scum when he was in crutches, but the man was loyal 🙏
Is furio still alive
@@danschuster5187 the hands were for the appreciation, but I can see how it was misread.
Carmella first season look hot
Low key ?
Another excellent sit-down. Federico is so easy to talk to and he truly is an artist as you say Michael. Good stuff!!
Furio was awesome. I was shocked because I expected to hear furios Italian accent..lol I honestly believed he was just over here from Italy filming. I am looking forward to seeing more of his work. The sopranos was the greatest collection of writers directors actors and on down the list. This created something special that cannot be duplicated ever. Thanks Michael for the interview, it was great.
This interview is Wonderful. Every time I've seen this Gentleman being interviewed it's been great. He is a class act. A GREAT ARTIST, Also. You and Family be Well. Hello to the girls. ☺ Peace and MANY BLESSINGS.

Best TV series of all time ❤ Federico was all the things a man can be, ruthless, violent, tender and emotional
I can listen to Federico talk all day. What a talented guy.
Oh man. Furio was my favorite. Was bummed when he was gone.
One of my favorite sit downs yet!! So many ones to pick from but this is the one ☝️. Thank you 🙏 Mr Franzese !
Michael - you ask GREAT questions and THANK YOU for listening - not interrupting and knowing when to ask the next question. You are BRILLIANT at what you do. We enjoyed you and Federico immensely. THANK YOU!
Mr. Franzese,
I have to say, I watched this presentation from start to finish without touching the pause and I caught every word, thoroughly enjoyed it. Federico Castelluccio was a very interesting man, I watched the Sopranos and all the episodes Federico played in. Thank you so much for sharing the moments you got to spend with him, I almost felt like I was a part of the conversation. Again, thank you for sharing this with all of us.
Daaaaang man. His voice doesn't match his face now lol. You're a great actor man. I know you weren't necessarily considered a "main" character but in a way you most definitely were. You played a pivotal part. You inspire me. You did great, Sir. Truly talented. Michael, you strengthen my faith too. I'm very proud of you as well.
Michael is such an awesome classy interviewer, know what interesting questions to ask, and never interrupt his guests, so refreshing to listen to and watch, cant wait to see that Sammy and him face to face interview/debate, any intelligent person already knows who's gonna come out of that a jack ass...lol.
A wonderful sitdown Michael! Changed my thinking of Federico as the talented man his is instead of- “Oh, that’s Furio “
What a great interview with Federico! Michael you are such a cut above the rest! All class, all the time! What a Boss! Ti Amo Michael! Bless you.
Thank you, Michael! Federico is awesome! The sit downs are better & better eachtime. Great hob! And congratulations on the progress of your story. Iam very prod to follow you! God Bless you & Federico.
Furio was an amazing character played by a wonderful actor!
stupid fukin game🤣 golf club present scene
Such a cool guy! Imagine a Furio spin off series that would be cool 👌🏼
That would be amazing. His character was so soft hearted in some ways yet so hardened in others. So complex. The whole scene when he busts up the massage place? Amazing acting
Furio was great, maybe he came back to the US and hooked up with Carmela after Tony was whacked
Hey Michael! I hope you have a great weekend! God Bless from The Bronx 💯👊🙏🇺🇸

Furio was my favorite character on the Sopranos. I was hoping he and Carmella would leave together, but when hw consults his uncle in Naples-who is old school- it just wasn't meant to be...even though in the last season I was hoping he'd pop back up.
Federico is a phenomenal actor and seems like such a humble, gentle man. Thank you for this awesome interview Mr. Franzese.
I'm going to pile on about the New Jersey accent being a shock, and cast my vote for a Furio spin off. His life after returning to Italy would be great.
A great interview, Michael!

I loved the Sopranos! Was the movie really that bad??Ive yet to check it out lol.
Federico was superb as Furio and didn’t need long to make an impact. His departure fit with David Chase’s need to give the audience unsatisfactory resolution to reflect disappointments in life.
I was so sad when I realized Furio wasn’t gonna show up again in the show. One of my favorite characters ❤️🧡
Same, he was so handsome and caring.
I hate how it was brought about
I met Federico and Joe Gannascoli at a club on Route 4 once. Great guys. Very humble, polite, and smart. And masters at their craft. I was also at one of the shoots for the first season in Wayne NJ where I met some of the cast. And even one time, I had to stay at a shitty hotel, (one of the ones that your door went outside) I went to leave and they were shooting a scene at 5 am in the lot and they asked me to wait half an hour to finish. Of course, I obliged. Iconic show. Please keep up the great work, Mr. Franzese.
Michael! Love what you're doing with your channel. I like how you had the interview at the convention and let it carry over to this. Wow, what an amazing interview with Federico "Furio", such a badass and a great actor! Thanks for this great sitdown episode of yours, Michael! Cheers from the Philippines!
Now Furio was the character that they should have done a spin-off with. Probably the most underrated character in the whole series. And Frederico? Really awesome guy. Very humble. Very creative.
This interview is quite a treat. Thanks, Michael. :-)
They could've done alot with him. David Chase claims he would've never done a spin off to save the integrity of the show. Yet makes a pathetic prequel which was so far Removed from the show, and obvious cash grab from fans.

What a great easy to watch interview! Interesting that Fed mentioned Gamorrah. I wonder if Michael has seen the series?
Gomorrah is great
