MATTHEW PERRY SHOCKING DEVELOPMENT! Multiple Charges Expected in Matthew Perry's Tragic Death
Earlier this week, authorities seized the iPhone and laptop of a famous female celebrity in connection with the October 2023 death of Friends actor Matthew Perry, who played the lovable Chandler Bing alongside actresses Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Jennifer Aniston and fellow actors Matt Leblanc and David Schwimmer. Now, that female celebrity has retained the services of a defense attorney, as she has been questioned several times as part of the new criminal investigation into Perry’s death, which was launched by law enforcement in May. A law enforcement insider told the outlet that the federal investigation into this death will wrap up soon, and a decision about whether or not to press charges will be made.
Perry died at age 54 from the “acute effects of ketamine,” which was ruled as accidental. His autopsy report form the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office also listed drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine, an opioid, as contributing factors.
The “Friends” star had been open about his use of ketamine - a drug used to ease pain and treat depression - in his 2022 memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.”
However, he noted he did not enjoy it because it felt like a “giant exhale” that made him feel like he was “dying.”
While the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed in January the investigation into his death was completed, TMZ reported in May that the feds were probing into Perry’s use of ketamine. He was thought to have been sober in the months leading up to his death.
It was no secret he had substance abuse issues throughout his entire adulthood and revealed in his book that he spent around $9 million trying to get himself clean.
“Not only do I have the disease, but I also have it bad,” the beloved actor candidly wrote. “I have it as bad as you can have it, in fact. It’s back-to-the-wall time all the time. It’s going to kill me…”
He also made it his mission to help others lead a sober lifestyle. In 2012, he turned his $10 million Malibu beach estate into a men’s sober living facility called the Perry House.
