I like cycling a lot because you see everything in nature but in the car you don’t and plus it’s healthy when you’re writing a bike and I love your videos a lot and telling people follow the rules and get off the bike
I also like to cycle myself but I get tired of immature cyclists not following the traffic laws which is going pass red lights and not yielding to pedestrians.

He told me young man, don't get my mf a$$ beat, he's a 65 yr old man and he's old enough to be my dad and I said that I don't care about his age, his bike doesn't belong in the bike lane if he's riding a mountain bike because he's not a walking pedestrian, wheelchair, scroller or a toddler using a tricycle. Great show! Glad you made that entitled idiot turn around. I would've done that also. I just posted a short yesterday of an entitled lady I encountered 5 years ago that was on the wrong side and I was not going to budge for her. She had the nerve to get mad at me and then some enabler in a big rig left her space and waved for her to go further onto the wrong side of the road so she could complete her turn the incorrect way. Over the next day or so, I'll probably get all kinds of idiotic commenters defending her and criticizing me. Shorts really bring out the most idiotic of commenters.

I saw a very close call today. I was a about 10 cars back and a guy was on one of those motorized single wheel stand up things. He was in the bike lane and a car turned right on green (right hook?) right in front of him, cutting him off. How do people not recognize the bike lane after all of these years and all of the press about accidents and fatalities? Also how do you not see the bright green paint on Seattle bike lanes. What are mirrors for or turning your head to check your blind spot?

As for crossing on red, guilty as charged there is one street near me that most of the school kids always walk across because hardly anyone turns in & out of it, especially before they widened the road and put a frontage road in as everyone just pulled out of their driveways into the street.
I had to tell my friend about texting and driving. He have a job where he have to be on his phone while operating a vehicle. Once i told him about accident on the road from other cars, he stopped doing that and got a handheld when he is in his car like you have Salty.
I was watching Jon Oliver the other night and he was talking about food delivery drivers. He put out the idea that because of how the algorithms work on those services, the workers are encouraged to get everywhere as fast as possible and it leads to alot of red light running and driving the wrong way. Do you see any of that in Seattle?
I see it all the time! I used to be a gig driver too, and yeah, those apps prioritize efficiency for the company over driving/parking safely unambiguously. They've contributed SO MUCH to our streets becoming so much more messy and unregulated over the last couple of years. I was one of the few drivers who would actually find a real, safe place to stop as close as I could to the pickup/dropoff pin, and while some people would give me grief over it, most people were understanding, appreciative, and it never affected my rating
Your channel reminds me of the retired hockey player, Sean Avery. I watched videos of him going around New York doing this. It was pretty funny how he called those people out for their bad behavior.
Avery was a pretty colorful character both on and off the ice. He had over 70 flghts in his NHL career. On the topic of red lights and stop signs, we have the Idaho Stop here in Washington. We're legally permitted to treat stop signs as a yield, and run a red light if it's a "dead red". One that the sensor won't pick up our bikes.

Thank you for watching 😁 Cyclists have the right to ride in the street or the bike lane, if present, and they are not required to use it. I often intentionally ride in the street on that particular road (9th Ave N) because it's safer than being visually separated by the parked cars and then suddenly being in the path of a turning car at the intersections. It's probably *the* most dangerous stretch of my commute every day
Despite the usual cars with their usual annoying parking and driving, not much to see here except a very annoying cyclist... I know, the infrastructure laks alot, but come here to the Netherlands, daily bussines here ;-)
I think it would be Super cool to see you do this in Other Cities around the country. You could do Toledo for a winter Phoenix for a summer Nome Alaska Pretty much anywhere else. Seattle drivers Are their own type, but You are the least Polite user of Seattle's streets that I've seen.
“Only cowards ride on crosswalks” It’s completely legal to ride in the sidewalk and crosswalks in Seattle. Don’t attack someone for being scared of riding in the road. My first few times riding in Seattle I was scared of the road too.
And how does being on the sidewalk, where you are less visible to cars, make you safer through intersections, where 90% of all car and bicycle crashes happen?

As a cyclist, you shouldn't be riding in the middle of traffic with cars, ride on the right side of traffic as a cyclist. I'm also a car driver myself so you still have to follow the rules of the road by yielding to pedestrians and stopping at red lights. Have a great day.
