As a catcher, I wish people would praise the things in catching like nice blocks, picks, and good frame jobs. Those are the hardest things about the position along with calling the game and baseball iq. Throwing is the easiest part of the hardest position.
@@Bskagw Depends on your arm, if you really increase your arm stregth you can make up for an unfavorable transfer and still throw someone out. I used to have the same problem.
For those who don’t know who this catcher is, his name is Easton Carmichael and he plays for OU now. He went to my high school which obviously is this video
Yeah...thats not strong but accurate! 2 even and under is nice but not if takes another second to gwt tag down cause its off line and/or high! Seen 10th grader in small 1a school make throw that leaves his hand and angle down from start right to the bag! Makes the sub 2 even faster placed at the bag on rightside!
Why would you take the time to take the mask off before throwing it? That's why I catch helmet-less missing a few teeth and have had 10 concussions but I do it for the love of the game bro!

As a catcher this is one of the easiest things to do. The hard parts of catching are blocking and calling games. You have to remember batters and how they hit the ball so you don’t mess up and hang a curveball
Looks like a good warm up throw and not the lazer I bet he can throw. My hat's off, though, to all the talented, tough kids that take on one of the most underrated positions in any sport. Baseball catcher. By the way, I was a pitcher and I pitched to my older brother. He was was born a catcher and was always playing years ahead of the rest of us.
Just for reference, the pop time is around 2.2 seconds, I’m 14 and my pop time was 1.9 at a tryout on 90 ft bases 60 ft mound, but I don’t catch anymore
Jerseys are soooo clean
Yesssssssss
They kinda tight… look at his pants I barely noticed at first but bro💀

As a catcher, the transfer is the hardest part of throwing out runners. If I don’t have a perfect transfer throwing someone out is almost impossible

All I know is that pop time not the best.
That curve was deadly💀💀💀
On bro
Yes it curved so good
The throw was on target. The transfer time was long, and it definitely wasn't a laser down to second.
That's a lot of criticism let's see you try

Not. I had an arm after High School. You can fumble the ball in the transfer, glove to hand. Get a wrong grip. Anything can and will happen.

Uniforms are tuff🥶🥶
It moves like a change up
Because his feet get away from him and doesnt get full finish on his throw...Ball down and away we shouldn't hop that much inside
Movement is not a good thing for a position player
Yeah, it definitely took awhile to get down to second. That's like a 2.5 pop time.
For those who don’t know who this catcher is, his name is Easton Carmichael and he plays for OU now. He went to my high school which obviously is this video
Them army green jerseys look 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Pop time is crazy
2.06?
To me it’s has accuracy but doesn’t have velocity. When I throw it the ball stays level all the way from home plate to 2B.
@@bboyrobotic6696Exactly what I was thinking.
