A band that appears to have chosen knowledge over fame ❤️🙏🏻
the parasites will not win.
I agree with you friend
One of their masterpieces . This band is like fine wine, it only becomes better with age.
That's generally the difference between good music and bad music. Try:
Opeth
Trivium
Soil Work
Dream Theater
In Flames
5 years ago this day they released this Masterpiece, nothing can be compared to eversince its release up to the present. An album and a title track, which is basically a Sci-fi, Heavy Metal opera. This one is the peak point of this already cult album to me.
" The holographic principle states that all the information contained within a region of space can be determined by the information on the surface containing it."
So unfortunate that most people can't get past the growling cause these guys are beyond brilliant.
CORRECT !
i love this band. the scientific and theological ideals contained in their songs are wide varied and beautifully delivered
@@5150warpig check out the song 39 by Queen.
one of the basic laws of the universe is "the one is the all, the all is the one" so whatever person, space, object, thought, whatever you look at. you can descipher the rest of the universe from it in many ways. So I'd say the holographic principle is part of this fundamental law.
here is an example. Epica is the best band of music in the world! therefore being part of the all, you could say this is the best universe
that's the resolution to the black hole paradox isn't it?
I marvel at this. I hope that if aliens find the remains of our civilization in the distant future, there'll still exist a CD with this on it, and a CD player in working order buried somewhere. The music on 'The Holographic Principle' is what humanity should be remembered for.
Lol, are you kidding me man?.
What if these aliens just walk among us without us knowing anything?.
And what if these aliens are like humans, like you and me..
Kingdom of Heaven, The Quantum Enigma and this epic thing... They form a clear thread that leads to enlightenment, omniscience, omnipotence...
That is a lovely time line. Thank you
You get it; the mystical meaning
This is the knowledge that we have been searching for...
To the creator of this video, Epica has seen and shared your work.
This track will be memorable for the years to come.
I've been following Epica for a long time. And this song has to be their BEST track up to date. It has everything: speed, drums, riffs, slow tempo, chorus, lyrics, etc. At leasrt, for me, it is the best song from Epica so far
Well, although is quite difficult to say, I think at the end this one is the best!
@@milanradulovic3915 True, hard to find the best song from Epica. But as a musician, I believe this is their best track, the most complete one (kind of like Seventh Son song from Maiden). Cheers man
Cry for the Moon had been my favorite since its release long ago. But I've been listening to this track with increasing frequency for the last year. It's something else, even for Epica.
@@enriquesalazar1294 true. Saludos metaleros! 🤘🏼
I can't stop listening this song! It's so majestic, so perfect, so heavy, so everything!
I have that 2 haha
hüülooğğğ
I concur! 🙏🏽♾🧿
Long Epica songs are just top notch. I love the frenzy going on in some parts combined with the quieter parts. It's almost like watching an action movie. Also the melody is just awesomeness to the max.
Kingdom of Heaven is a long time favorite of mine. This masterpiece is really challenging that though.
Undoubtedly my favorite on the album together with Divide and Conquer. I already consider it a masterpiece, the intro, the solo in the beginning, the instruments in general, Mark's outstanding growls and simones outstanding voice, I also like the lyrics, ... It's like a kingdom of heaven pt. 3 in terms of pure epicness.
i hope when their one album further they make a sequel of this song like they did with kingdom of heaven
Definitely, that would be so cool!
+Tijl Trienen Or make a full album named Kingdom of Heaven. Now that would be amazing.
Agreed, this, divide and conquer, and once upon a nightmare are all 5 star songs
THE OUTRO GIVES ME SUCH GOOSEBUMPS I CAN BARELY MOVE, WOOOOOOOW
This band never stop improving, this is their best album in my opinion
For me is The Qhantum Enigma, in my opinion The Holographic Principle is a trancision album like The Divine Conspiracy
no, too many ballads and the last song isn't a proper climax.
@@LMTR14 ??
@@diszain What do you mean?
Agree!
My 56 year old (conservative) dad just got me hooked on this (listen to this son, she sings really pretty and there are some interesting guitar moments), the end times must be nearby or something.
Or he's like me saw a very sexy redhead peeped her. Realized she had a voice of a god damn angel and wtf symphonic metal. #Trump2020
I'm a conservative and I love epica. Your don't have to be a part of a certain political party to enjoy good music.
epica are far from conservative tho. Just sayin . Their music happens to explore various philosophical themes including some of our greatest fears. E.g in consign to oblivion or this whole album. But it is more like an exploration of our human nature and deficiencies than "warnings".
I kinda think Epica soars well above mundane bullshit like conservative/liberal, left vs right, whatever the fuck. This is the music of heaven, where all that nonsense recedes into the chasm where it belongs.
Case in point, 7:20, which came up just as I was writing that. Listen to the lyrics.
Epica got even better with every album. The Holographic Principle is their very best! The new Omega album is on par with THP. Incredible how consistent their catalog is, no weak albums, amazing!🤘
• The holographic principle
• Social Text
• Relative words
Welcome to the abyss, the place that you created.
What is existence without oblivion?
What is clarity without illusion?
What is creation without destruction?
There's a lot of Yin-Yang and Taoist principles in Epica lyrics, I love it!!
Kain Highwind
A trinity, diversity prior to creation.
Nihilo, Pantheism, all monist save for diversity.
I was reading Space Odyssey when this album came out. My days back then were just..reading that awesome book and listening to this awesome song continuously. Now every time I listen to this, I think about the books story, reliving its universe. Maybe is just me, but it is a perfect match.
I have listened to a LOT of music but I can say for sure that i'VE NEVER HEARD A BETTER SONG IN MY LIFE...
Serenade of self destruction is my favourite
Saw this live, and tears came to my eyes. I just love this song, the instrumental, the choirs, the meaning. It really is Epica at its best, they're simply incredible
Me and Epica shows = RIVERS of tears down my face. Fist in air. Singing and screening. Running around the mosh pit. Headbanging. Ecstasy. Wild happiness that lasts weeks.
I really love how it starts amazingly deep into the concept with slow melody, and evolves turning faster and heavier , I really enjoyed this, and all those unexpected moment were EPIC like 7:39, 8:17 and 9:44 . This is such a masterpiece just like Kingdom of Heaven and The Divine Conspiracy !!!
EPICA FOREVER AND EVER!!! lmL
Kingdom of heaven is still one of my all time favorites...
Mother of light is still is still my all time favorite, just thinking about that song does this thing where water pushes out from my eyes...like every fucking time it's a rather complicated emotion :/
Oh wait that right, it reminds me of this cronic depression I've been living with for like way to long. Welp that explains that.
Why are you people forgetting the Requiem for the Indifferent? That album was a masterpiece that manages to overshadow even the Divine Conspiracy in my honest opinion, yet no one seems to remember it?
@@billy-the-butcher it takes some time to fully appreciate this album, maybe that's why it's so underrated.
The masterpiece I was waiting for sooooooo long
fools of damnation!
Good list, though to the best I would like to add The Obsessive Devotion, Death Of A Dream and The Divine Conspiracy, Consign To Oblivion tracks.
Great list! I'd add Sensorium and The Quantum Enigma!
monopoly on truth!!!
Better than "Consign to Oblivion"? I am not sure!
Uma obra de arte em forma de música, como não se apaixonar?
Brazil here!!!
sem dúvidas...uma obra de arte!
Faby Bandeira lindo demais ainda tem gente que houve nojeira no ouvido
Faby Bandeira lindo
Vc falou tudo
Musica bonita e outro novel.
EPIC!!! Apart from the fact that the whole song kicks ass, I love the "Run from illusions" part
Reminds me a bit of Therion (a good thing, of course)
Me too!
I guess, when you look at it, Epica has always kind of flirted with Gnosticism.
Adrian Keirle Spiritualism is the right word I think
Adrian Keirle
I thought I might be the only one who thought that Epica appeared Gnostic. Michael S Heiser has a piece on Gnosticism for like 6 hrs.
Love Epica for being who they are in this music at their best (the intro choirs, the lyrics and orchestrations - and much more). But I also love these little surprises like in 09:44 . They truly deserve to be the best Symphonic metal band nowadays.
And congrats for the video! It totally fits the epicness of the song
Im agree with you Carlos this video totally fits the epicness of the song!!!
i'm just speechless in 09:44.. DAMN I LOVE THIS SONG
Agree, I think there were some better bands but they're gettin obsolet, meanwhile Epica got fresh and greatness
Epica really is the best at what they do I think. Well, no one really does what Epica does the way Epica does it. :P
Carlos Pinto whats in 9:44? am i missing something?
I´ve aways thought the same about our illusions and reality, our souls and the world surrounding us,now I know that I am not the only strange one...Though it might seem negativity, it´s the real truth..each one of us takes the path of their minds an not of their souls...
Hope someday this finally changes, but, as it is today I see it too difficult..Hope this poetry, music like this and a lot of people may make the difference...!!
I loved Epica since the begginning, they are -besides the beauty of their music and Simone´s voice in itself-the only band that has this kind of lyrics....yet spiritual and good centered but in total touch with reality..
Progressive symphonic metal masterpiece right here.
Best song on the new album.
The melody really makes you feel like you're in the lyrics of the song...if you absorb it, it's not just music but a work that produces a burning power and stirs your heart's enthusiasm.
Dear heavens!
This beauty brings tears to my eyes
WELCOME TO PROGRESSIVE EPICA!
Man does not have a soul. It is Soul that has a human. We are Soul. Awesome song!
Beautiful Masterpiece 💞
This is true artistry! Thank you Epica for sharing your divinity with us!
Best song since Design Your Universe album, period.
One of my favorites songs ever.
There was kinda a theme with Epica songs before. A popular theme, and frankly a successful one, was to have the 'standard' part of the song in the first half. That is the opening, verse, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, and then in the second half the band would take you on this ridiculous musical journey that included some of the best I have ever heard, and then wrap up with another chorus.
I loved that. I still do. But it was starting to get predictable. I found myself listening to new Epica songs thinking to myself, "okay this song is okay but when is it really gonna get good?"
This masterpiece might be their Magnum Opus because it is truly remarkable from beginning to end.
Best Epica song with KIngodof of heaven
This is exactly my opinion!
and Design Your Universe to :3
"In All Conscience" way better than this.
I also love Ascension- Dream State Armageddon from this album or The Phantom Agony as one of their classics from T.C.C.
every time I listen to In All Conscience it gets closer and closer to being my favorite Epica song, still doesn't top Omen imo
This is the kind of song that grows on you with time.
This is EXCELLENT!!!!!!! One of my Favorites from this CD♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
God damn Isaac
noor sarsar true that!
Wow Simone is wonderful here
Masterpiece. Awesome video
Yes I'm agree with you.... 🤘🏼
TRANSLATION TO THE LATIN INTRO
We must learn how to move the rudder
We had supposed that the truth was small (i.e: like a particle)
We must become strong
We should use it all
For that must prepare
There are some language inconsistencies on the original language but this is what I think they wanted to say.
Thank you!
This is a total fucking masterpiece !!
Guilherme Lopes linda musica
Guilherme Lopes linda musica que nos toca pena que essse brasil so se houve imundice..
Isaias Batista
Aquela decepção de escutar isso em casa, e quando saio para a rua, só o funk tocando.... lástima
This song gives me a perspective sense of life
This song is amazing but I want to say that the work of the sync, the fonts and the backgrounds are an amazing job. 👍
It contains gothic details. Amazing.
this and theatre of dimensions (the song ) from xandria are pure lust for the ears
Man
How I love this song!
Masterpiece is not enough word to describe it!
After seeing this video I listen the entire album again. Is such a masterpiece
Tnx for the great song ! from Morocco

What is this glorious gem I've found?!?! 😍🤗
This is the best song Epica ever made.
It's transcendental...
Eu adorei o álbum The Holographic Príncipe, principalmente essa música super legal.
This Song is DIVINE. \m/

One of the greatest videos I ever seen. Congrats! Best Holographic principle song
They always surprise me
This is one of the best songs on this album by far
MASTERPIECE!!
amazing work to a masterpiece!! ❤❤
A veces pienso que hay una canción de epica para cada parte de mi vida...
I really like that song and this video is so well made. These pictures are beautiful.
Belle vidéo ! It's a really good work. Love the choirs.
wow, i have no words, absolutely mind blowing
really beautiful video! I'm looking forward to watchinh more!
Love this song so much. Keep doing exactly what you want Epica.
Brilliant song and a great lyrics video.
Thanks for watching? Thanks Epica for making this epic music and thank you for making this epic video, from font to image selection, amazing!
excellent work...found video when Epica officially shared it. you gained their respect, and mine.
very nice pictures, the view of the lyrics are really good.. nice video!!
pure magic of music!!
Im the 1000 liker hehe, Epica hits also in Narobi, Kenya, and even in Kiambu County
this is ART!
Masterpiece!!!
gracias por su disco...esperamos mucho por el.
los amamos!!!!!!!!!
If you want the Holographic Principle very vulgarly resumed in extremely simple everyday language: the theory that the Universe is a projected 3D image of a 2D surface (aka a "Holographic Universe")
More believable than a flat earth tbh.
Amazing song and video. rock on
Wonderful song, nice work on the video
Excelente video !! de las mejores canciones del nuevo album de la banda.
Final Fantasy Metal.
L. Rainfell ntap
More like Taoist Metal, or Taometal ...that's what I'm calling it from now on.
Epica self Metal
Don't compare this to that gay game.
@@AvalancheGameArt It wasn't gay in 1992 when I first played Final Fantasy II on SNES. That shit changed my life. Kinda like when I first heard Epica about ten years ago.
Perfection.
Magnánimo !!!
Incredible
Best lyrics video ever!!!
I love this
Epic ending.
It is physiologically impossible for a human to avoid tapping their foot at 9:24. This music touches our very inner being!
great job with the different pictures and fonts to match the tone dude
Awesome! Can you do Cosmic Algorithm? Dying for it. 😀
Great job ! :)
I love the messages contained in the last 2 records. So in line with the philosophical and human challenges we face today, everyday.
They've been talking about these things since the beginning but it's become more direct recently
Magistral!!
Props for the clip its illustrative
