@@122886MCPdo you really have to play the phone game to learn more about him? Its just the way they’ve built him up in the main line games seems really good. It would be kinda disappointing for all that to amount to an app.
In case you never realized it, her hood was on in the shot whenever it had characters other than Roxas (and later Axel) meaning we were seeing her from that other character's perspective.
This is why when Axel considered her a friend the hood disappeared.
It's more like that Xion's identity depends on each person. Since she's not her own person, people project their own memories on to her and it isn't until Roxas and Axel see her as an actual person that she becomes one. This is why Xigbar sees Ventus when he looks at her, since she's connected to Sora and therefore by proxy Ventus. He's perceiving her through the lens of a distant past.
During the Sora Smash presentation, when you saw Xion, you said, “I don’t know who that is.” I wasn’t sure if you were serious or just making a great meta-joke.
He still called Ventus roxas. Can’t wait for BbS day to see his shock at it not being Roxas lol

@@ma.2089 He probably said Ventus on purpose. he should've already noticed by now that vents is not Roxas. when they showed the different dive to heart of all the characters you could read their names in the top right corner. There is no way that he didn't see that. later on they showed the spirits which also showed ventus and roxas, there is no way he could've missed that.
Roxas story is such a terrible tragedy. Since his creation he is only experiencing bad things. This constant fight for his own identity and then at the end of Days he also loses his trust in his best friend Axel and he loses Xion completely.
The only time he could be happy was when he was on the clock tower with his friends. That’s why his „Who else will I eat ice cream with?“ line is so sad. He connects the tower and the ice cream with the joyful times he had with his friends and since he doesn’t has anything als to grasp on, this is all he could say at the moment Xion vanishes.
« Friends are the people we eat ice cream with » if I recall. Roxas was asking who will be his friend if Xion is gone. That breaks my heart.
Not to mention Axel literally tells him at the beginning that "friends are the people you eat ice cream with."

SPOILERS IN CASE DEEBEE SEES THIS
The first person to tell Roxas that he is his own person was Sora in Dream Drop Distance. Even his best friends referred to Roxas as a Nobody and Sora's shadow and such. Sora is the first person to tell Roxas "No, you are your own person Roxas."
@@yuuhyakuya3863 To be fair, his own friends were speaking based on what they and everyone else (except Xemnas) knew about Nobodies. What Sora said basically flew in the face of everything they knew about Nobodies. Sora ended up being correct, but he didn't have any real hard facts or research to base it on. Just his heart. Which I guess is par for the course for Kingdom Hearts, now that I think about it.

he’s actually objectively correct, but so was everyone else (to an extent). Roxas still had what Sora was inside him, as well as Xion. But when they reunited with Sora, the existence that wasn’t Sora remained within him. That’s why they could simply extract only the Roxas and Xion parts to make them their own person. The Roxas within Sora there was entirely his own person.
Of course, also cuz Sora existed while Roxas existed, the heart he grew was his own, even if it was partially based off of Sora’s. But at the time, he was still holding parts of Sora within him, so it makes sense why they’d tell him he was just Sora too.
One of the funniest parts of the stream came right at the end, where during the credits he was talking about Xion, and everyone in chat hit him with the meme point blank “whos Xion? What is a Xion”. It was hilarious

Ah, this was my first KH game. Was my favorite until KH3 took that spot.
Here's some "fun" facts:
in the game, both Roxas and Xion can weild a keyblade called the Aubade; an aubade is song/poem evoking dawn which is traditionally a love song of two lovers parting in the morning. Nice little reference to the ending of the game in the town where the sun always sets.
Also, in Japanese Floriography, Xion's name refers to the flower Aster tataricus (紫苑, Shion) which means something along the lines of "remembrance" or "I won't forget you."
I love how they put the effort into these little things.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one to think KH3 is the best of all.

@@alistairvd I'm not really great at explaining things like this, but I'll try my best to, keep in mind this is coming from someone who grew up with 358/2 Days but never beat the other games until like 2018. Also I didn't grow up with Disney or Final Fantasy so those don't matter to me outside of KH lol.
Gameplay wise, I like all the games, but I really like the variety that KH3 has, keeping shotlock and flow motion etc. Plus it doesn't turn you into a mermaid(man?)or lion.
I thought exploring KH3 worlds was more fun than the others due to how big they were, using flow motion to get around is fun and the updated graphics are nice too. Plus KH3 has a few worlds from movies I've actually seen which was a first, and they all have at least a little bit to do with the main plot which is more than I can say about some of KH2's.
Story wise, I like the characters as much as ever, and though I can see why some people didn't like it, I really liked how everything wrapped up. I had a smile on my face the whole time. It may have helped that I didn't have huge expectations going in, like a lot of people did. Also the music and the ReMind DLC 👌. I didn't mean for this response to be so long lmao I think I've explained enough

For example Roxas meeting anybody from twilight town, or Sora's memories sometimes being shown along Roxas's missions. In the end it does not hold a candle to the experience of playing the game (especially with the Xion fight and the music acompanying it). You also miss out on a lot of the characterisation of the other organization members.

That cutscene of the final boss does not do justice to the actual fight, where you fought several forms, all with wildly different attack patterns, yet still invoking Sora. Plus the feeling of putting her down yourself just makes it sting more.

Also, I do think it's interesting that Xion's boss form closely resembles Keyblade Armor, but not any Keyblade Armor we've seen before or since. It makes me wonder how Sora's Keyblade armor would look if he ever got a set.

It's after the cinematic that plays out like KH2 secret ending, and when it cuts back to Aqua holding a frozen Ven, Braig appears.

This is why Square and I agree that Days goes before KH2 and not after. All you lose from KH2 is the obfuscation confusion and what you gain is the emotional trauma of having to watch a Roxas that has lost the things he couldn't bear to lose, his memories of Axel and Xion, stumble through a fake summer vacation designed to deceive him into giving up his existence as your first taste of KH2. Then the whole KH2 makes sense easily and blows your mind even more instead of seeming convoluted
Instead of 3 hours of "when do I get to play as Sora? These side characters should stay in the handheld games" you get "Please, no, wait, Roxas, don't go...."
This is a small detail, but I love the look on Vexen's face when Xion is first introduced

Man I wish they hinted at Xion early in KH3. Like imagine if we fought the Twilight Town’s Demon Tide up above the clock tower after seeing her hooded figure up there. Instead of talking to Xemnas and Ansem I wish we spoke to Vexen to get a hint at him turning. KH3 was so great but could’ve been so much better.
@@kingleonidas2182 They did though??? They foreshadowed Xion in the toy box & San fransokeyo worlds. Young Xehanort and Dark Riku were conducting experiments there which resulted in Xion’s recreation. Not to mention she was also the third heart within Sora
@@BobbyTheGamerOfJUSTICE honestly there's a lot about that game that could be fixed, but the one I would fix is let us fight the members before the final world, we don't have to kill them just let them remark on how much weaker Sora is compared to when he defeated them that way we know Sora isn't ready to go to the dark world yet to save aqua until we get to San Fran
@@sdbzfan1 I personally think fighting the organization members early one would have lessened the impact of the keyblade war tho. So I thought the way it was handled was fine. I do think fights with Vexen and Demyx should have been done tho, since they really weren’t actual members
@@BobbyTheGamerOfJUSTICE i think fighting those 2 would be fine the fix is the same way they did the data battles, have smaller move sets for the members so when you get to the keyblade graveyard they have both their full movesets and you fight multiple at once, otherwise the way it was done makes thw worlds feel non important, kh at this point isnt interesting when we go to the disney worlds at least 2 and 1 made the worlds important by both adding to the over arching story by sora either learning what the bad guys are doing in the shadows or getting helped by riku in the background

you know what's extra heartbreaking? Xion's name sounds similar to a flower called Shion (also known as Aster tataricus). In the Japanese language of flowers, it means "I won't forget you." This was even brought up in the manga which I recommend checking out cause it's got more details of the story events (including this cute moment where Saix allows Xion to take in Pluto)😭

This is the only KH game that made me legitimately cry. This game is the reason why the “Days” trio is my favorite in the series. BBS trio is great, but I still like the “Days” trio more.

@@rafiaalikhan4346 BBS isn't as sad as days though. They basically all got fooled by master Xehanort and the end for all of them was sad but with Days the whole game was sad bc they kept struggling with their identity and thought that they had no hearts
Bbs is also kinda... well... not worse, but the ending has some real depressing shit. In days it is constant depression with a spike at the end and bbs is a spike at the end and that's it...
while I can't say its my favorite gameplay wise anymore, this game was actually my first ever KH game (hell of a starting point), and is still my favorite story in a KH game, and all of that makes me pissed off to no end that we only get a movie in all the collections which *cut out all the in game cutscenes*, which means we miss out on a lot of great character moments with all the organization members. Plus, this game was one of I think two KH games to actually have multiplayer, and it was awesome cause in the multiplayer and mission mode you could play as literally any KH character who could fight at that point, including all the organization members, donald and goofy, Mickey, Sora and Riku!

This was my first KH game too. I didint had a playstation but I spend many hours watching playthroughs of KH, Chain of memories and KH2. So by the time I played 358/2 days I knew all the stories so far. I haven’t played since the year it came out but I think I should replay it sometime soon. Too much nostalgia.
@@jacobmonks3722 I was 9 and I remember how I couldn't ever make it past Olympus Coliseum because I didn't realize you could get Cloud as a party member.
this was also my first I was pretty young and didn't know I could get other Keyblades so I played most of the game with the kingdom key and when I accidentally switched it out for a much stronger keyblade I didn't like it so I switched it back and got really close to the end but never finished due to how little damage I output
God, whoever did that rendition of Vector to the Heavens used in the stream opening has absolutely done it justice. I'd say "I'm not crying, you're crying!" but honestly? Watching reactions to 358/2? Everyone is here to cry.
EDIT: Deebee, have you noticed how after a few hours your game audio starts getting out of sync? I don't know if that's a VOD problem or if it's been that way during the stream but I wanted to notify you on that.

I think the out of sync audio was in the original stream. But the audience was in Emote Only chat for practically the entire stream and Dee was really immersed.

@@MrInuhanyou123 No, it's not from the concert album nor is it Shimomura. It's from the official album _memória! / The Very Best of Yoko Shimomura_ , and it's arranged by *Sachiko Miyano* . Miyano has worked on quite a few KH tracks that a lot of people don't know. She's arranged for the Piano Collections, the KH Orchestra arrangements, and last but not least, KH3 itself.

This is my favorite story in the kindom heart game ever its heavy
This game needs a remake so badly. Although i would recommend playing the game not watching the scenes in the library as it takes so many cutscenes out and you don't get the character building and bonds the game lets you feel. Also limit break is a cool mechanic that was introduced in days and days is really fun.
If there was a Days remake with Coded's gameplay and a fully fleshed out online multiplayer system, the game would be a huge hit.
Most people don't realize how much potential the game has because 90% of the effort went into the multiplayer, and only 1% of the playerbase even knows about it.
Turning on Friendly Fire and challenging your friends to a duel using the rich roster of Org members is an unforgettable experience. They all feel so unique and special.
Xigbar is a complete bastard just like his personality, and Lexaeus can easily delete health bars with his no-bullshit 2 hit combo. They're my two absolute favorites.

@@RenatoGPadilla I only read the cliffnotes version of KHUX because holy crap that game has so much content to process, it sounds super sad but I think Days and BBS hit harder because they're short enough to digest while still showing a lot of context for the characters and their tragedy.

Yeah cuz both ends in a sad ending. It's sets up a lot in the series.
My favourite is how everything from "unsaid, unheard" until "tears" just knocks you further down, then you compose yourself and get sucker punched by "winner" straight away
I cried for like 15 minutes straight when I first beat this game as a young teen. That ending left me absolutely heartbroken.

Seriously tho!! I legit cried for an entire weekend when I was a teen. Seriously seeing them *SPOILERS* reunite in KH3 made me bawl as a 25 year old man haha it actually felt as if this sad burden was lifted off my heart.
This, this right here was Axel's strongest performance. "You both think you can do whatever you want". Jesus the emotion is insane for somebody supposedly emotionless. This is precisely why he is such a beloved character and why this game was so underrated. 💔
The scene where xion and axel fight plays “The Other Promise.” That’s the same song that plays when you fight roxas in KH2. Both have that same feeling of “I don’t want to fight, but I have to.”

For the Ancient lore:
Back cover - KH Union X - Darkroad(Ending is delayed)
The Union X stuff takes place thousands of years in the past. And Dark Road takes place a few decades in the past. Plus both are mobile games but are important. All the while Back cover is apart of 2.8. Which has Dream Drop Distance HD and 0.2 in it. It has some important information that helps with the lore.
Also Back cover has no game play, you can watch the cutscenes of Union X and Darkroad on youtube. And Melody of Memories is a rhythm game.
You should say to at least watch the final cutscenes in Melody of Memory since they're very important.
Don't forget about kh3 remind dlc yet
Days can be played before 2 if u prioritize emotional impact and hate mystery tho, even Nomura says so
@@rain____1221 not really, different franchises can be played in the order u want, hell even some people started kh with days or bbs even if some things don't make sense that way, even Nomura said days will be the first kh of many so he wrote the script with that in mind. Ofc u benefit a little bit by playing on release order but u gain other things by playing in a different order, no matter the franchise.
one important thing the cinematic version is missing, even more so than the Saix fight, is a single line from Xemnas after Roxas had fallen unconscious. it's at the end of the conversation he has with Saix in Roxas' room. he says, "So sleep has taken you yet again..." (it normally would have been in right here 31:55). the fact that they omitted that line despite the fact that they show everything else before it in that scene is super weird since it's really important foreshadowing for what's to come.
edit: I just realized they also removed any mention of "the chamber" from that conversation as well. weird since that was such a big plot point in the game
I still think the best way to experience the story is the game, to many little interactions are lost and as you pointed out even some big points. Just like Com, Days got a bad rep and I feel is really unwarranted and most stems from people who just wanted the mainline play style.
@@masterprick1 i honestly never thought the gameplay for days was that bad. The sneaking missions were definitely the low point, but the multiplayer was awesome with how many playable characters there were.
Yeah, Days gameplay was way better than CoM IMO and I was genuinely disappointed when 2.5 came out and it got the CoM treatment.
It let us play as all the Organization people and could've given us actual KH online play! Sigh...
I’m pretty sure Roxas and Ventus were supposed to be the same person but it was retconned by the time the movie was made due to the unexpected popularity of the Sea Salt Trio and their relationship.
Don’t forget neither Axel or especially Xion were supposed to come back. It’s possible Roxas was just brought along for the ride.
@@dodiswatchbobobo Nomura had revealed Ventus all the way back in KH2 and not long after Kh2FM was released he talk about them in an interview and it mentioned they were separated characters.
Edit: The Days movie was released around 2 or so years after BBS.
This was the game that got me into Kingdom Hearts. I first met Roxas, Axel and Xion. When I ended this game I always thought it will be great t see Sora, Roxas and Xion fighting side by side.
By the way, this game explain why Roxas has two keyblades and why his keyblades are Oblivion and Oathkeeper. In the original game in the Nintendo DS Roxas kept a journal and in the end of that journal he made the promise of getting Xion back and have his friends together again.
The journals are included in the ps4 version as well. But I don’t think Dee will read them sadly.
@Julia - 𝙾𝚙𝚎𝚗 𝙼𝚢 PROFILE My favorite character to use in multiplayer wad Saïx, and my uncle, which was one who I used to play, had an item that made limits to never end, so imagine go berserk without any chance to stop and having no option to turn off friendly fire. I just moved around in circles crushing anything in my path and I couldn't stop even if I wanted.

FYI to unlock the , ahem, post gameS in there you only need the Ansem Reports and a save of EVERY completed story, be sure you back them up.

Okay, but WHICH order? TVA or VTA? The former us the official one, but in my opinion the latter has more weight to it. You get to dive immediately into the mystery around V's character, while leaving T's actions unclear.
Watching only the cutscenes misses A LOT of story and characterization, sadly it's only available on the DS.
The whole bit in KH2 where Roxas uses the stick like a Kegblade only makes sense if you play the DS version

One of my favorite parts of the series. The story was super dark, sad, and heartbreaking but I loved it through and through
I feel that when they start off with day 255 and Axel says that the sun sets red because that is the color that travels the farthest, it's foreshadowing how he will do so much for his friends and how much he cares for them, but I'm probably looking into it too much. Day 255 being the first one you see also probably is a good way to establish Axel and Roxas's friendship, at least in my opinion. This was the first KH game that I saw the whole story of since I was having too much trouble with KH1 and so the Sea Salt Trio was my main introduction into the series.
considering how many different story motifs constantly make their way in and out of this series, that's not a huge stretch. I even agree with you, Axel making an unintentional comparison between light (Roxas and Xion) and the color red (Axel) and how far he's willing to go to reach the pair of them regardless of how much distance he has to travel. And regardless of whether the writers *intended* that moment to be foreshadowing, the fact that we can read this deeply into it at all is proof of the quality of writing.
I will say that even though it appears that the cutting of gameplay elements removed some impactful scenes, I do think that the HD movie managed to convey enough for Deebee to still be rendered a broken mess by the end of it...so mission accomplished, Square Enix! (Plus, speaking just for myself, I would rather get the majority of the plot of 358/2 over and done with relatively quickly instead of dealing with lots of relatively grindy gameplay; this way, we can get to Birth By Sleep that much more quickly.)
(This, of course, is notwithstanding the various diary entries that he unlocked at the end of the last stream that we may or may not read through. XD )

BBS is not as grindy as 358/2 Days. I think he can play this one. Fingers crossed he chooses the best order to discover the game.

Also iirc you miss out on the setup fight between where Roxas and Xion where they both think the other is a heartless, and the climactic battle with Sai'x which is practically required reading. Extremely cathartic.

he is basically the Nobody both of Sora and Ventus. His willing to not forget Xion triggers him the ability of dual wielding.

Roxas takes Xion's Keyblade, but he can use it because of Ventus' heart. Xion's death is the spark which triggers Roxas' ability of using two Keyblades: one because of Sora's heart, another because of Ventus' heart.

Days is an incredible game, and if possible I’d love for you to play it (and read the reports/diary). They got a good writer to help make the story, and the design for Xion was partly influenced by the manga writer (they might have been the writer who helped make the story).
That’s why I consider days to be the best written story in the franchise.
Besides the story, the game has so many funny interactions between organization members that characterizes them. From Lexeaus punching Roxas in the face, Xion telling Roxas he’s holding a stick, to Luxord being the kindest member to Roxas and Xion besides Axel and giving him much needed characterization.
Not remaking Days in game format was saddening. We will never get to see Saix wielding that giant banana in HD :,(

Honestly, I really missed that too, it helped give the Castle Oblivion crew more characterization in the early game.
Speaking of which, I'm thankful Luxord didn't go to Castle Oblivion. Imagine using card based combat against "The Gambler of Fate."
@Nhat Anh Hoang ur right, KH days was the only game to make me cry. However, I don’t need to cry for every entry of a series. Not every story in a franchise is going to be sad. Furthermore, strange for you to bring up KH3 cuz I found it sadder than BbS, and BbS is the cause of why all games after it had issues and was not as well paced.
So maybe don’t bring up KH3 when BbS was supposed to be some tragedy like Days and doesn’t succeed, but KH3 wasnt trying to be a tragedy and can still feasibly bring someone to tears. Just sayin’

This game had me balling as a teen when I played it. glad you got to experience my favorite, and tragic, character. And that you enjoyed her and appreciate her behind the scenes impact to the franchise. Some have said her character sucks because she has no impact on KH2. I disagree. It affected us, the players, more than any other character so far. I need a goddamn tissue.
I would like to collect some facts and comments here too though:
- Roxas can dual wield now because he takes on Xion's keyblade. In turn this ability is passed onto Sora.
- Xion's name comes from the moniker "No. i" as in number imaginary.
- The game hints at it a bit better, but Xion intentially acts evil to Roxas at the end to make it easier for him to finish her off so she can go to Sora.
- For the hood thing early on, Xion being a "mirror" as Axel called her made it so she looked to everyone as their relationship was. So she was a stranger to all but Roxas until Axel called her a friend, and then he could see her after that. When talking to Saix alone, she has her hood up again too, but when we switch to roxas's perspective when he interrupts, it is down again.
- The manga is worth a browse. The first couple series of it highlight the other organization members personality. might be worth a stream.

I hate to be that guy, but Roxas takeing Xion's keyblade only mentioned in the light novel. In every other offical (and caonon) material, such as interwievs with Nomura is stated an other reson to dual-wielding capailties, mainly the effect of a very obvius someone who got thrown in to the mix.

358/2 Days was the first Kingdom Hearts game I ever played. A friend lent it to me. Didn’t get to finish my run before giving it back so had to use his save file to experience the ending. The sea salt trio is my favourite trio in Kingdom Hearts.

Also please don't listen to the people who say you should play/watch the games in a different order, even if they make specific scenes stronger in hindsight, many reveals and important elements would be spoiled, after all they were released in a specific order for a reason
Xion's hood: It's a way to showcase how her appearance changes according to who looks at her. In every shot where she is only seen with Roxas, she looks like Kairi, because that's how Roxas sees her, but when the shot includes Axel, she is hooded because for him, she looks like a hooded kid. It's only after she opens to him that he starts seeing her like Kairi. That's why he is surprised to see her at 45:19 Why does she looks like Kairi? Because she is absorbing Roxas' memories of Kairi.

Xion is and always will be my most favorite character of the entire franchise. She taught me, even if I was just a nobody, someone who is confused and feels like a puppet for people to be used and dispose of later. I still have a place to belong, and people, no matter how few, still cared I existed and considered me as someone as their friend. I love her so much. I cried for her so much, she deserves to be loved.

Talking about interesting Xigbar details, you should rewatch a cutscene in KH2, specifically the one that takes just before you fight Xigbar, where Sora talks to him.
The Xion fight goes on a lot longer in the DS and it has 4 phases.
Phase one is where Xion is regular sized and grows wings and a longsword, she teleports to Wonderland where you fight her and she learns Sora’s sonic blade command
Second Phase is where she takes you to Halloween town and grows to twice your height. She has a long pincer-like weapon and has Sora’s Ragnarok ability.
Third phase she takes you to Agrabah and she grows four arms wielding scimitars and learns Sora’s arcs arcanum.
The fourth phase is what you saw.

Something hidden in plain sight:
The reason Xion crystallizes into ice and then disappears after Roxas defeats her ... ... ... ... is because she was made by Vexen, who controls Ice.
For a DECADE, a literal DECADE ー I always thought that it was supposed to represent the memories inside her breaking apart and releasing themselves in large chunks overtaking her body before floating away back to Sora in tiny shards (which I suppose could still be the case). But it could really just be as simple as "Vexen made her, so she turns into ice when she dies". God, this game.

This was actually the first game i was introduced to, so it was weird to see the series through Roxas first and Sora second. These three were always my favorite trio 💕
It really does make me sad that this was watched the way it was and it was done the way it was because I feel that a lot of the impact the 358 is removed from the not game version unfortunately I can't exactly advise you to play the game because it's long and it's not great gameplay wise. But most of the game is there there's most cutscenes are taken out as the game isn't fully voice acted. So a lot of them are text-based talks that completely gets skipped over and had so much characterization to so many of the characters. For example you probably know more about the cast of living characters in this first seven days of the game. For the classic stick scene, most of the text things were done in a quick little blurb saying what they did in the Disney worlds but I feel like in 358 so much that happens got removed from the movie which sucks because this is my first game of the series and my favorite story of them all I love the characters the most I love the struggles the most it makes me feel the most and the movie just doesn't do it for me

I used to laugh at roxas stating to xion about who else would he have ice cream with before I got into Kingdom Hearts like outta context. Now, after going through the series recently, that is all Roxas knew on what friendship was to him because all him, xion, and axel did as friends was eat ice cream on top of that clocktower and now that just makes that scene even sadder and heartbreaking.

One of the only times I have cried in memory. The sheer beauty is beyond any slight problems with gameplay. I would overcome hardship to experience it again.
You really should get the DS version and play this sometime. Nothing like beating up the man who gives you missions once you decide to go your own way in search of answers. (Saix) It felt so good.

About Xion in the cutscenes, there’s two different models, the regular model without all the facial expressions, and the much better one that allows different facial expressions to be possible
While not my favorite in tens of gameplay, 358 definitely has one of the most emotional stories in the franchise. It made me love Roxas even more.

He's so fricking good at figuring out what the heck is going on. I actually did a spit take when he realizes that Xion is a "robot". Was not expecting him to figure it out that quick (kind of like when he figured out Roxas was Sora's Nobody)
Dee Bee was not ready for this. Days has truly broken this man. He’s well and truly an official fan for crying over Xion’s fate and all the shit Roxas has to go through. It hits even harder when you remember the events of KH2.

Cause although she was still unable to give the full picture, she was the only one who actually tried giving him the answers he wanted, even when he didn’t remember he wanted them.🥲

What I really liked about the original game was all the small interactions with the other members, you really got to grasp their personality.

The whole video is basically you staring into the void with a melted brain whenever Dearly Beloved sounds.
And now you have met best Trio, Sea-Salt Trio! imo at least. I love how everything that is going on in their drama is intensified because all of them love each other from the bottom of their inexistent hearts, to the point that they are willing to go to incredible lengths to keep each other safe.
Interesting thing that most people are quick to forget is that Roxas was actually supposed to kill both his best friends. Xion at the end of the 358/2 Days and Axel at the start of KH2, during their fight at the start. Axel was only saved in that game because that fight was in the Demo of KH2 an he EASILY became one of the fandom's favorite characters so part of the story was changed so he would survive that first fight to have more screen time.

The axel thing as well but also the KH2 tutorial hits different because there are a lot of references to the conversations and interactions between Roxas and his best friends. Also the bits where Axel shows up hit different cause it's not "who is this dude and why does he keep attacking Roxas?" To "OMG this is sad come on Axel you can do it Roxas why are we fighting him?!"

I only played KH 1 when it was first released. Then I couldn’t keep with the rest of games but I am loving to live the rest of games for the first time and be in awe after every chapter of the story of every game unfold . Can’t wait for birth by sleep ! Cheers from Peru mate!

I grew up with the German dub of Naruto. Some time ago I watched the whole show in English and I recognized so many Kingdom Hearts voice actors. Every time I would be like “omg that’s Axel! Ansem?!…” 😂
Watching this for a second time, after you have beaten BBS, it was cool to see Xigbar's brief interaction with Ventus. Also I must say, Xigbar just being a cocky dude who messes with people, I really like his dialogue. Anyway, I still cry at the end; what a powerful story.
You sir are a heartless...(just kidding). That opening still cuts me to pieces, as soon as Xion's theme starts playing the tears start rolling....every time I hear it, it just breaks my heart. Welcome to the club bro...the ride is just beginning.
Imagine being 12/13, 2010 being left with the cliff hanger of all this waiting for the climax of KH3 to come full circle with this story arc and seeing someone have the same feels as you did then. It really makes me me happy that the story finds its way the ages and makes me appreciate reliving it through someone’s else’s perspective. I’m so glad you got to go thru the journey and see the other side/story of the series😭💕
