Caswell clinic is a medium secure psychiatric unit for mentally disordered offenders (by no means low level criminals) believe me. Taith Newydd is a separate low secure unit, and as you alluded to there is a dementia unit in Glanrhyd also.
Parc, Glanrhyd and Pen y Fai were collectively known as Morgannwg Hospital. Glanrhyd was known as Angelton until renamed in 1948 when NHS was created. Pen y Fai was completely demolished and iis now a housing estate.
