If you are using a phone, upload the video. Go back and click to view your channel. At the side of the video uploaded click edit, then you will see a picture icon on the video surface, click it. Then click on custom thumbnail it will take you to your gallery. Then choose your thumbnail and add. Let me know if you have any issues. All the best
