Do you have any tips or tricks for solo, new or returning players looking to set into the realms of Heroic difficulty? Thanks for watching as always and if you enjoyed the video don't forget to give it a like to help me in the battle against the dreaded UA-cam algorithm!
Tip: so your research on builds farm those you like, if unlucky get close as possible before farming for long time to test the build. Figure out what you most comfortable with I terms or role, perks and guns.
I just started playing this game about a month ago and I already have around 10 days played, shd level 336. But MY GOD the change in difficulty from challenging to heroic is literally night and day. Challenging I can almost handle it in a casual manner, sometimes I get in tight situations that force me to get my head straight and actually go full on try hard which I like as a nice little challenge here and there. But heroic, even when I’m fully focused I’m either taking too much damage or not dealing enough, my positioning also never seems to matter to these enemies either its like their IQ spikes as soon as I try heroic. My friend told me to get my shd level maxed before I truly feel confident to take on heroic by myself, other than that, I’ll stick to challenging in the mean time
Ehhh maxed? Nah just need a well rounded build, dps with a lil survivability or skills with decent damage and a bit of survivability and its no problem.
I use sig mpx + scorpio with hunters fury build 4pc with memento backpack and fox prayers kneepads, and it's really achievable for me at shd 370 something right now. As abrax said, try skill build it's pretty good
Great video. I use a skill build on heroic with a turret. Tossing the turret into a room takes out a lot of npc,s then i go in and mop up. I try to keep a full mag as you quite often get a rusher towards the end of various stages of a mission and they can take a full mag to take out as they move pretty fast.
Only things I can think of are : bottleneck them if you can, height is always an advantage, what works for one might not work for you and dont be afraid to think out of the box, you dont know its going to work or not until you try. Also dont be afraid to call for assistance, someones elses way of playing the content might give you an insight to what you need to change/adapt.
Those bloody lawnmowers with the circular saw blades on them are a pain. especially once they hit you they just sit there and you have to break cover simply to shoot them, which then makes you exposed to gunfire . Arghhh
another tip is understand the factions and the biggest threats ie from outcasts the first targets are the suicide bombers , especially if they are yellow bars. great vid m8 keep em coming even experienced players sometimes pick up stuff. :-) I corrected this post as Luke Secrets is right i was remebering the wrong faction (True Sons) as was thinking about the cut scene when ridgeway is locking down the outcasts i thought it was his faction that had the fanatics :-0)
yep sorry i got confused by the back story you are right, see even i have been playing so long i forgot the faction archetypes, so its important to make sure you know who you are facing to deal with em, in game i know who i go after based on experience but in case of a new player make sure to use the map to see who occupies the control point or quadrant and use that to help you make a decision on who you go after first, ty for the correction Luke i have edited my post lol.
@@lukesecrest1687 aye your heart sinks especially if you get on a good run and get wiped one and have to start from beginning, like the beginning of this vid, that made me smile tbh. Funny though i have died more times in that beginning bit on HC bunker then any place else, those silent guys are deadly with thier gas grenades and rushers lol.
I rather stay at challenge no bullet sponge TTK is good less reward but still you get good max rolls drops it takes time but you get them Heroic is noting but all red all yelows or all blue build or shield or memento backpack META but still good video
I’m only close to SHD 100 but some Heroics are doable..it gets really ugly when a Heroic bounty appears and it’s in a bad location (no cover, no choke point) that’s when the frustration sets in..and then I’ll change it back to Challenging for some fun lol
Lol happens to me all the time the car thing and they sponsored by #blamemarmite Great video abrax. I remember your hardcore character live on stream when NPC's got to close #iamdeaddeadlol Looking forward to your next video.
I generally play in Challenging mode. More often then not the A.I. will arbitrarily bump my game up to Heroic, and sometimes I even prevail. What is kinda aggravating is that after the game bumps me to Heroic, and I win say a Conttol Point; the loot reward is still only set at Challenging. I think if I beat a Heroic Squad I should be rewarded with Heroic quality loot. I know...I should just run Heroic...but my builds aren't that great and it usually takes tme too long to complete a task in Heroic vs Challenging.
I assume by bumping the level means before you went to the control point, you beat some connected side mission. This will bump to heroic and should also bump the gear level to heroic. The only main difference I find between challenging and heroic whilst in open world is in challenging, if you start a firefight, you can usually finish it without anybody else jumping in. In heroic, it seems EVERYBODY in the area runs along to join in. Sometimes can be a bit annoying but fun.
@@ThatAbrax We used to get bonuses for sniping form higher up in div one, I assume we dont in 2 and the only difference would be a slightly longer shot length. I assume thats no longer the case.

I’m so thankful that you make videos for people who still play. Quality content should never go unappreciated!
No problem :-)

Ref: Tip 2 and Controllers, if you can find a good elevated position then it prevents their explosive buggies or lawnmowers reaching you.

That is an amazing info thanks abrax the last skill video I'm loving in it so much having fun and it's great 👍 waiting for more
Thanks buddy!

I honestly hate those things.

Great, because I’m thinking about moving from challenging to heroic
Oh my god I feel that intro
Oh my god the pain that brought me
I'm sorry I had to put you through it again.
Great video :D
Thank you!
Number one doesn't apply o Hunter set build though. You need to berserk rush them and stun while they are dying. Best build

I just went critical build with glass cannon. I stay back with a 2000 and nemesis.
I want to say (before watching the video) that I find heroic difficulty in general ways easier to complete solo than in team of 4.
100% agree, the group HP scaling on Heroic is pretty aggressive

Haha! Poor Hardcore Agent, very DeadDead.

Welders mask is the best because you get to wear a ball cap backwards
Love that mask.
Does the game calculate vertical advantage? IE do we get credit for “holding the high ground”?
No
Only the visual advantage of seeing more of the area, there are no other statistical advantages.
@@ThatAbrax which is quite advantageous against all enemies

Bro killing enemies so easily in heroic like enemies killing me 💀💀💀
Wish the game wasn’t almost dead
Fingers crossed we see a surge with the next update or something special in Heartland.
