I have a build almost exactly like this but using different gear. I'm using the rigger gearset as well as the waveform exotic. And for secondary I have a rifle with perfectly in sync. It's such a strong setup that is really easy to play, only issue is missions where there are emp's, then I am useless.
Haven't played d2 in a while. Have 4 characters at level 40 ran the old skill build with hard wired with btsu gloves back then which I enjoyed in solo runs. I'll definitely look into this setup looks good
Another great chest talent is Overwatch. Once you get in the habit of moving using cover to cover, you can keep that buff up almost full-time. And the great thing about Overwatch is that it's a team damage buff.
for my SKILL damage build, I've been running a 4pc RIGGER, Waveform, and a backpack with kinetic momentum for unli skills. damage is averaging at 100k/hit for the drone and 150k/hit for the turret. though damage isn't as much, take into consideration that 4pc RIGGER gives you unlimited skills by cancelling the turret or drone. so when a skill is about to die, just cancel then re-launch. also, Test Subject + Harmony for Perfect in-sync. still looking for a god-roll Wyvern chest piece with Kinetic Momentun but for now, I'm good with this.
I used to think as you did about Rigger but the problem was that the damage bonus ends up being less damage than brand pieces, plus you don't get that second attribute. Rigger gets you in the door so you can farm the better gear. Try the following and you'll see the difference(happy to help in game if you want too). Weapon: Capacitor, BIS(Test Subject if you don't have). Secondary: any non-AR with 'In Sync' (i.e., not Test Subject) as backup for when you run out of AR ammo. Holster: Waveform, BIS. Backpack: Force Multiplier Brand pieces: 3 x Empress. Then either 1 more Hana U or 1 Wyvern (either one gives +10% Skill Damage) - both if you don't have Waveform yet. Gear Mods: Protection From Elites Secondary Attributes: Skill Damage, Armor Regen (5 x Armor Regen nets you about 25k/sec). This build is my super safe easy chill solo anything build. No other build is as cruisey. I have about 15 very different builds - this one is BY FAR the most comfortable for all content.

That door glitch at 14:06 happened to me and my uncle while we were leveling, if you mess around with taking cover on the box close to that door, it just kinda zoops you into the ceiling for a second before putting you back in bounds
Very good breakdown. Watched your video, found out that I was missing the body armor. Farming....farming, yes! This is the first time I can reliably do heroic difficulty. And easy at that. But...now it's boring! XD Your AR build gave me some ideas though... I've gotta look at my gear again - the last time I tried I didn't quite have the necessary quality. I like your content, very straightforward and with good alternatives.
I have been wanting to make a skill build but I had no idea where to even start. Time to take notes and search my inventory for these pieces...or reasonable facsimiles. Thank for the guide

Then either 1 more Hana U or 1 Wyvern (either one gives +10% Skill Damage) or if you don't have Waveform yet; 1 of each. Chest talent: Kinetic Momentum Gear Mods: Protection From Elites Secondary Attributes: Skill Damage, Armor Regen (5 x Armor Regen nets you about 25k/sec). Going to try making this build when I finish the halo infinite campaign (launches in 10.5 hours as 9f this post), have been testing builds gor legendary and so far my best is a tank that can resist almost a billion dmg in 10 min
I enjoy opportunistic on my skill build and pair it with scorpio. Imagine NPC's receive amplified damage from various sources: turret, drones, etc... total chaos. Just spam the scorpio behind cover without ever poking your head out.
For a solo build specifically, respectfully, you have the right idea but some stats are effectively useless. I have tested all versions of this build. 'Glass Cannon' is very bad compared to Kinetic Momentum - for this build specifically. Because TOTAL Skill Damage is multiplicative you gain 5% overall more Skill damage from KM, but lose the 25% All Damage from weapon hits. Who cares? Your main damage source is Skills anyway - DPS wise you break even(tested). Now you also don't die stupidly easy. Weapon: Capacitor, BIS. Secondary: any non-AR with 'In Sync' (i.e., not Test Subject, ideally 'Harmony') as backup for when you run out of ammo. Holster: Waveform, BIS. Backpack: Force Multiplier Brand pieces: 3 x Empress. Then either 1 more Hana U or 1 Wyvern (either one gives +10% Skill Damage). You don't need Skill Haste from mods/secondary-attributes. Skill Haste is a waste of time(ironically). You get enough from the gear bonuses to bring cooldowns to around 17 seconds, plus you can pick up the Turret anyway reducing this way further most of the time. Keep in mind that 99% of the time you can just double-tap turret to place on top of the ledge/wall/railing you're hiding behind and when you move just grab it. Very rarely do you actually need to throw it way up high onto something. As such: both of the following SIGNIFICANTLY increases your survivability. Gear Mods: Protection From Elites Secondary Attributes: Skill Damage, Armor Regen (5 x Armor Regen nets you about 25k/sec). This build is my super safe easy chill solo anything build. @@markh4668 Which gives you about 57,000 armor on kill, but even if you have only 3 x 10% Protection from Elites (goes up to 13%) you would only need to take about 200k damage to break even with a single kill - far from worth it imo. The armor regen is more than enough to keep you sustained, 2.2 seconds of regen is the same as 57k armor. Protection from elites makes you nearly unkillable. Try it, you'll see, it makes yellows insanely easier to tackle. 12% x 3 = 36% is easy to find, but technically you can get 39%.
i'm still a pretty new player... only shd lvl 385 or so rn... had a capacitor and waveform in my stash and decided to put together a skill build. watched a quick vid on what i needed to look for for stats, spent a whole hour farming countdown for something passable, and holy crap... even with low shd levels and crap gear, skill builds are strong. i can easily solo some heroic main missions, and with more experience getting the spawn points and timing down, the rest should be easier and easier. everyone needs a basic skill build.
If you are running turret/drones then all the Skill haste are wasted attributes since they already have such short cool down time, you will do much better stacking other things
I'm doing a a crit damage build with seekers and drone. In the division 1 I'm doing tactitian with 7500 electronics but with enough firearms to proc talented, ferocious and destruction with a high level assault weapon.
I have a simular load out with the waveform and also with how you have it. I have been playing around with spike on the chest pieces and also the tech support on the back back. I have a Bellstone armory with max armor and max skill hast and skill damage. I like goofing around with it but also I have some good dps builds enjoyed the video thanks alot.

@@javiercarrion6843 Exactly. I tend to go with haste over duration because I always end up popping the skills so they are usually up longer than I need, I'd rather shorten their downtime by a few seconds. I don't use the exotic holster with this one because it's a stack-based damage increase that only applies to one skill at a time so yes, one of the skills will be doing 30% more damage, which is actually 20% more without the brand bonus, but your second skill will be doing base damage, and the skill using the holsters 30% from the talent gets it slowly in stacks which means it takes time for the skill to be doing max damage. what’s skill haste and skill efficiency?
Skill Haste reduces the time that your skills are on cooldown, so the more you have the less time you have to wait for your skills to be ready again.
And Skill Efficiency is an attribute that contains a bunch of other attributes just like Weapon Handling,
So 1% of Skill Efficiency = 1% of all the following:
Skill damage,
Skill haste,

Skill health,
Repair skill,
Status effect.
