I sampled this at the Dior counter at Kaufhof department store in Düsseldorf, Germany. To me, this fragrance was all about the saffron. It was a little too much oriental spice market for my personal taste, but as you said, it turned into a skin scent quite quickly. The fragrances I bought from the line were Cologne Royale, Terra Bella, and La Colle Noire. Along with the purchase I received miniatures of Ambre Nuit, Balade Sauvage, and Sakura.

I just recently got mitzah, oud ispahan & leather oud 😵 do I need this? Probably not, but damn do I want it. Purple is my favourite colour and big fan of Dior privés line. Thank god my wallet isn't within arms reach 😂
I got a chance to try this one recently. Dior Prive has some nice ones. This one also has a nice, simple, pleasing smell. I can’t understand the idea behind purple. But just too expensive. I think Niche folks should drop the prices really. Now that they have so much exposure as compared to the designer era but that would be the last thing a niche customer would want. Smelling it everywhere. Great going Sebastian. Best wishes.

Sebastian, my nose is still a baby (LOL) when it comes to fragrances but that is the same I feel when I smell Lira - Xerjoff Casamorati and Tihota - Indult, they remind me so much some of Sylvaine Delacourte fragrances!!
I can see that. But once it develops you will start noticing the differences! Tihota and Lira are so different to me. Lira has so much orange citrus notes but Tihota is just vanilla and musk! Stay tuned for my full Tihota review coming up very soon. :)

Oh cool. There's a department store called COIN in Italy I believe in the big cities they should have the Dior Private collection. Paris would certainly be best bet to find the fragrances for sure! :)
After watching the review two good time, I don't think I am eager to sample this one out. Don't get me wrong the color of the juice looks great apart from that there is nothing wow about this one. Apart from that amazing stuff like always! :)

Purple Oud could have been a Dior version of Plum Japonais without the cinnamon. A bit lighter with a touch of iris. Oh well...

Hi yes santal noir is a more pungent version of amber nuit. Purple oud is a sycamore/encre noire cousin. Anyway Maison line goes girly, floral, fruity and reminds me Chanel.
This one is like woody fresh scent easy to wear. its not worth the price and nothing unique. If you have encore noir sport, sure encore sport it's low quality. but still the same.

went to the Dior Boutique it has changed....the new fragrances are awful. smells like flowers ...they carry no other fragrances..etc...just close the boutique.....dumb.

Very funky, animalic oud. It does smell like encre noire which is horrible too. Too funky for me. Sorry.🙄🙄
