this is exactly what all local music scenes need to adopt, its dieing right under our noses and making it harder than ever for artists to find an audience and for the audience to find the music they will eventually become obsessed with and support!
Some good suggestions. There is a lot more to the solution though and this just covers technological fixes. There needs to be a national and international recognition of the importance of the arts and a high level of government and industry subsidy for grassroots music
There's a lot of great ideas here but it kind of misses the point that everyone else is as skint as musicians. however your £17.000 figure is a perfectly laudable starting point so instead I propose the nationalisation of all music. all performers that meet basic low entry level criteria get that figure annually. however with a nationalisation scheme we'd obviously need to make some changes the first and most obvious of which would be: Lads with guitars are banned. forever.
This is a bit unrealistic. Even if you're systems are implemented, it seems as though you're expecting every single Liverpool concert goer to want to attend a local show every night which is unrealistic. People have jobs and rent and the like, and aren't going to want to go to a gig every night.
Wow.. only 30 per show?... Ummm, it's gone way down scince I played pubs and clubs in the early 2000s... You could do two gigs a week and work part time and do OK. I guess it's the logical progression of what's happening to music. Looks like Liverpool still has a scene... All the clubs and pubs I used to play in have gone
Missing Liverpool more than ever right now.. keep up the solid content dude!
Dope dope dope, you da man Connor

So so sick and clearly the solutions - well done mate, make it happen!!

Absolutely! There is more to the bigger solution for sure. We just wanted to start the conversation 😌
Boss study 👍

I was nodding, now I’m laughing 😂
Great ideas, we need change, the local scene never fully adapted to the digital music revolution!

Don’t worry. The solution doesn’t require mobilising a 500,000 army of live audience members every night 😌 thanks for watching!
Boss Connor man! 🎸🎸

Why not give all local musicians ciggies to sell?
