People face threats of violence every day, ranging from large-scale terrorism to one-on-one assaults. Most people are unprepared, unequipped, and untrained to respond effectively. This weakness in the flock allows the wolves to attack with great ease and success.
The answer is not more laws. The wolves don’t follow them. We must give the good guys the tools they need to effectively respond to violence. The more Sheepdogs we can train to be truly ready to respond to a mass shooting, terrorist attack, violent mugging or home invasion, the better the chances are that the bad guys will get what they deserve and the good guys will survive. I just started Krav Maga last week...absolutely love it. Practiced slips the other day for the first time. I’m really getting into it!

Do they teach this is regular jiu jitsu classes? Striking defense? Or is this just a tim kennedy thing? I thought jitsu was just grappling and only grappling. Serious question

Actually, in a real street fight ( not in the ring ), If you lean out, running away from a punch, you are putting yourself in a position where your attacker have even more room and time to punch even harder with his/her other hand. If you are leaning in, with an 'IDF Krav Maga' specific technique, your attacker's other hand will be too close to hit you effectively. Moreover, if you punch without a protective glove, the way that is shown and practiced, You might cause damage but you'll also break your own hand.
