I've been getting so many questions about how I care for my pixie in between salon visits. This video is a full run down on how I relax my hair as well as color and restyle my hair. I'm no stylist or professional so please understand I'm sharing what works for me.

I love your “it dont have to be perfect”approach. I don’t know how to curl either, so I’m trying to figure out what my one hairstyle is that I can do myself because right now I’m too dependent on my hair stylist. Hoping to get to the point where I can do my hair and be cute. You do such a good job with yours!
I do these very things! Perm, color and style. People say oh you shouldn’t do this. No hair loss and I’ve been doin this 40 yrs. You’re right each person has to know their hair and what it can withstand..

Super cute..So I won’t be scared I use the neutralizing shampoo just use it on your comb to clean it all out. As a cosmetologist we use the relaxer brush , or you can you the opposite side of the comb and your hands to smooth it out. Not necessarily comb it, to avoid overlapping you can also protect your ends , as you did your edges to minimize that .

Just got a pixie in December. I love it and definitely don't enjoy sitting in the salon all those hours. Will be doing this part at home.

Sky thank you for posting this video I’ve been watching it over and over I just switched from ORS to Affirm I will relax tomorrow but I love my pixie cut and I’m never going back I think ORS have been a bit drying I haven’t relaxed since November it’s now May so I’m think I’m good I can’t wait to see my results. Beautiful results. Use the same Nairobi foam and wrap strips and they are great. Question, how long does the Ion color last?

I love this, great information my favorite shade for my hair used to be a dark off black shade I would use the bigen number 47 chestnut shade hair color and then I would go over top of that with a Sebastian cellophane coffee bean rinse a few times a year.

Love it but don't you use the brush to apply? That's what I use. I only use the comb to comb it in.

After you put the color in and sit under the dryer do you shampoo and condition it out? Or are you just rinsing the color out with water?
so, did you rinse out the semi-permanent dye afterwards or you just went straight into styling after the 20 mins in the hooded dryer?

I usually get a reelaxer every 8-10 weeks! Sometimes I take month breaks in the winter

I never use neutralizing shampoo just use regular shampoo so far so good I just washand rinse really good
