One of THE BEST movies I've ever seen. It would be a joy to tell that to Wes Anderson himself, I think I would hug him. If he let me of course...
He made my childhood.
The first watching this film. I was finding it hard to tell where the characters interactions were going. Years later, I see this is an oddly comforting film. That, and the fox characters in this film are all such cuties.

Oh you mean like they're now stuck in the sewer, but hey, atleast if they stay there for a little longer, the farmers would just called it quit.
What’s the significance of kristophersons dad looking into real estate?
It means kristofferson will still see the others often since he’ll basically live in the same neighbourhood as them with his dad, instead of going back to the other side of the river. It’s a reassurance to the audience that kristofferson’s dad will live, but the fox kid trio also won’t be broken up.

@@JK-yt3dm also technically they still live underground since Boggis, Bunce, and Bean are still looking for them. So it means Kristofferson’s dad survived his illness and is gonna try to live closer for his kid instead of being across the river.
That’s why Mr Fox says “to our survival”. They’re no longer living the lives they used to know.

@@DantheMan2605 I think it’s just a visual gag to show he’s just as excited as his wife at the prospect of having another child
OK, something that was never made clear. How did they end up with the young female fox, Agnes (she only came in about half way through the show, as Ashe's lab partner. She seemed to have ended up living with them as Mrs. Fox was taking care of her and there were no other foxes around.
