@@leotheskyguy what if you're stranded on a deserted island. What three Cure album would you want to have. Mine's Kiss me..., Faith, and maybe the Top. Disintegration is alright but it's just this one atmosphere. Strange that I picked albums with different drummers.
Hopelessly fighting the devil futility feeling the monster climb deeper inside of me feeling him gnawing my heart away hungrily i'll never lose this pain never dream of you again. Fucking pure poetry!
This is my favorite song of all time. The multiple melodies and chords simultaneously occuring, combined with the classic Cure storyline. Purple Rain, Stairway to Heaven and a couple others are close... but i could listen to Untitled 20,000 times and still love it
Was 17 when this album was released, listened to with my girlfriend over and over , loved her, I'll always remember those good years of my youth and be greatful that I got to experience music like this. They just don't make em like this anymore.
I know exactly what you mean. Was also in my teenageyears when Disintegration came out. Had many hours of quality time with my girl friend while listening to this album. This is one of my favorite tracks.
17 as well at the time. Positively regulated our minds toward lives of purpose. Genius is a gift. Thank you, Robert Smith, for sharing yours with us. I am forever grateful.
I think The Cure added this lovely song as a balm for your soul after listening to Disintegration, especially the second side of the album(tracks 8-11). By "Homesick", I am an emotional wreck, then this comes in and says "see, it's okay"....or something! It's just perfect!
Such a crushingly emotional song. When he sings "and now the time has gone, another time undone" It just crushes me. Then the longing wail of Robert's Fender VI, that goes on and on, just echoes that line round my head.
Damn UA-cam's algorithm... I heard the 1st few notes and immediately ran to my 20+ kids and hugged them,,, Thanks Rob and the rest of you..... The Cure has Been a staple of my life...50 years and counting///// Bless all The Cure fans. :)
Hopelessly drift in the eyes of the ghost again Down on my knees and my hands in the air again Pushing my face in the memory of you again But I never know if it's real Never know how I wanted to feel Never quite said what I wanted to say to you Never quite managed the words to explain to you Never quite knew how to make them believable And now the time has gone Another time undone Never quite said what I wanted to say to you Never quite managed the words to explain to you Never quite knew how to make them believable And now the time has gone Another time undone Hopelessly fighting the devil futility Feeling the monster climb deeper inside of me Feeling him gnawing my heart away hungrily I'll never lose this pain Never dream of you again
this song has such a special place in my heart ❤ the lyrics truly resonate with me, the melody is beautiful, and of course, robert's voice is just the cherry on top.
Weirdly enough...and I cannot explain why....this song does help me get over someone and forget them. No idea why! Obviously, it should make me think of them more. Maybe it's because I can see Robert's pain and i'm too lost in it to absorb into my own? Whatever the case, this is beautiful. Pun intended, but I intend this from my heart...I feel cured. Thank you, Robert.
hopelessly drift in the eyes of the ghost again down on my knees and my hands in the air again pushing my face in the memory of you again but i never know if it's real

could be something said to an old lover , a friend a parent , a sibling, just simply someone special.or perhaps to yourself in a mirror. A statement to the only One, your other half as they comfort you , on your deathbed . My father died in front of Me , i never said what i could have , should have. Now ..hes gone. Sometimes, we never do find the words, we never ever finish what we start, we are never satisfied . We are human.
I beem to few Cure concerts in my day, but for the few I have been to. They are just as great a performers on th stage as they are on thier LPs . THey must take alot of time rehearsing to put on agood show for thier public. I'll tell you that for nothing.
@MehdiGlz If you are a beginner you should consider developing your ear and forget the tabs. I've never used them when I learned because I noticed very quickly that semi beginners were writing the tabs inaccurately. No one better than yourself to right the wrongs. You should try it as Cure music is not very hard to play but it is elegant and has class.
"Desesperado a la deriva" solamente un tango puede decir algo asi o un tema de The Cure. "Hopelessly adrift" only a tango could express something like that or a Cure's song.
And I never know if it's real. Never know what I wanted to feel. Never quite said what i wanted to say to you. Never quite managed the words to explain to you. Never quite knew how to make them believeable.
Yep...a masterpiece indeed. Critics panned it when it came out. Guess they couldn't see, hear, or feel the substance of this epic record at the time. I bet if you asked them now, they'd agree with your assessment.
For me the best Cure song
for me it's tied with Disintegration and this
For me it’s the entire disintegration album
Tie ..live in Detroit. High..

I call MASTERPIECE 🙌
kinda sus
And that right there is one of many reasons why disintegration is the best album ever made 😌

The Great Genius who is Robert Smith. His greatest piece, in my humble estimation.
I was 17 to, waited outside our price records, to get my copy of Disintegration, I wasn't disappointed
I would give my everything to see the cure perform Disintegration.
What about your leg ?
So beautifully touching it couldn’t even be named.
DISINTEGRATION best album ever.
It's true. They even claimed that on an episode of Southpark.
yes yes
One of the best songwriters to ever bless this earth

I never lose this pain
Never dream of you again

This song and This Twilight Garden are absolute brilliance. I want this song played at my funeral. It explains my entire life in one song.
Nella sua semplicità uno degli "assoli" più stupendi di sempre, capolavoro
Lovely and emotional song.. spent many upon many hours playing with and improvising with this one- in fact, i highly recommend it..

@Sergio1990p Well, if nothing is casualty, either my destiny is to suffer and die, or is holding something big for me, first one is the most likely
And I never know if it's real. Never know what I wanted to feel.
Never quite said what i wanted to say to you. Never quite managed the words to explain to you. Never quite knew how to make them believeable.
With my loneliness that’s what keeps me alive
