  • This Hailun 121 is probably Brigham’s #1 best seller in his 23 years of selling pianos

I drove out to Brighams from west plains missouri to buy a piano from them. I ended up with the 121 and love it. Like he said great touch and super powerful bass. Also has a great tonal range depending on how hard you are playing. Go check them out super great people. Look forward to seeing you all again

Absolutely right in every respect. Everything about Hailun is not only superior, but patented engineering upgrades that other cheap makers won't dare to include. What am I talking about?
The keybed is SOLID aluminum, 5/8" thick.
. That other maker you mentioned has two pieces of veneer filled with FOAM RUBBER. Don't believe me? I'll send you a photo .
In my opinion, there are a lot of people with bigoted anti Chinese sentiment who will NEVER accept the obvious fact that Hailun has a superior approach to building a quality piano. Who else warranties their pianos for 15 years? NO ONE!

I really like the sound of that U1 actually :) also the Hailun sounds nice for some softer types of music.

Yamaha U1 on the brighter side and the Hailun Upright on the softer darker tone side.

Would love to hear how the Hailun grand pianos compare to other brands of similar size.

Ya you know, something to be said for establishing quality based on the sound characteristics a piano actually produces. Great bang for the buck for sure!

The Hailon piano sounds much better to me. I have been a musician for 46 years and my ears cannot be screwed up or. If you have played music for 45 years every day and worked in this profession, the ear for music is extremely sensitive. I can't understand that you mean the second piano sounds better?

    Interesting.
Are your margins similar on this brand to Yamaha or Kawai?

So far the Hailun does not have the market penetration Young Chang achieved in the 1980s with the U121, which is still saleable today. Price a good used U1. They hold their value well. Hailuns are a bargin now, and may be an outright steal in 20 years. I still have the YC U-121 I bought for 3800 in 1987 with a 12 year warranty. It plays very well and even the felts are still fine. A near exact clone of the U1, which I could not afford. Thanks for your many great videos.

When Baldwin was building pianos in America I believe they had a 25 year warranty for the Hamilton Studio and the Aritist series grands. The Acrosonic models had a 15 year warranty and the classic models had a 10 year warranty.

I suppose one's opinion of the tone of a piano is a subjective thing but as someone who plays and listens to piano music quite a lot, this particular piano has a 'clang' to its tone that is very unappealing.

Everytime you talk about Hailun, I cringe. Our rep is simply mediocre. Yes, the touch was good, the sound was awful. What's funny is that Zimmermann piano is made by Hailun that another store sells but knows how to better put into value the piano. On the video, it sounded more melloy but the bass was overshadowing the rest a bit. (that has more to do with the recording I think, no offense). I'm your channel number one fan.
By the way, Yamaha gives 10 years which means nothing. If there is one thing that can't be taken out of Yamaha is the reliability of their product. Actually 2 things, the second being the resale value.

I do agree that a good audio comparison would be helpful. Since you have access to these various pianos, maybe you can share some good audio comparing some different manufacturers with Hailun. Hard to tell by words alone.

Brand new Yamaha? Well the Hailuns are decent pianos for the price but any hailun will be dead at the age of your BRAND NEW YAMAHA. 😂 That’s so creepy man. Yamaha has to know about that.
