I love that opening. The low build-up, and then you get to... that part. "... A... Am I hearing this right?? ..... Uh... N-No, this is a joke, right? ... No, I'm actually hearing this... ..... ... You people are trying to freaking kill me."
@@pedroff_1 I just listened to Six Feet Thunder. I must say, I love it musically! VERY Phantom of the Opera pipe organ Overture, or Bach Toccata and Fugue in Dm. It makes me want to run to the keyboard to find out if the top notes are within my range...
guiltriple Thanks for the concern! I am fine; one more day and I should have fully recovered. Mind you, 4-3 strained my singing voice for two days as well.
+Nicolas Daoust Wonderful, wonderful show of ingenuity right there! You are truly on par with Freddie Merchantry himself! Or at least the Bard. You kind of look like the Bard. Don't touch any golden lutes.
Now we just need to get you a gold-trimmed purple jacket and a giant fluffy hat and we're all set for a complete album makeover. I hope the rest of the album is coming too :P I'd love to hear it!
Well, this way of expressing appreciation is more typical of Korean and Japanese culture (and maybe Chinese?), hence my curiosity. But be assured I do appreciate the feeling! :-D
That intro combined with the way you improvised the vocalizations was truly one of the greatest things i've ever witnessed. liked subscribed and will do so to your other videos too!
Love how I read in a comment on another video how it would be impossible for you to do this one, then watching this. Nice way to mess around with your voice without any technical help! Was asking myself how you'd cope with the staggering beat part, really cool.
Was my second CotN recording, too! Now people are saying that zone 5 might be impossible, and they might be right this time... we'll see once my voice fully recovers from practicing those heavily this May. (Srsly I might finally have overdone it, my throat stayed hot and tense for a week.)
Haha, this is very impressive and funny! I didn't think it was possible for anyone to sing this. And my throat hurts just listening to that fast section... Awesome job man!
Got here looking for bass cover. Changed my expectations. Got BLASTED! Dude, you are genious, dedicated (masochistic), and you do it with humour. Earned a sub ;P
Got reminded of Necrodancer like two minutes ago and then found you. I don't know if I should be laughing or clapping, but I'm doing both anyways holy hell
I think it's time for a redux of this one. Your technique has gotten so much better and so has your range! After you finish Cadance of Hyrule of course! Awesome work Nicolas!
Say, what are those *drinks* you have? That like, help you recover so quickly after making your voice pull impossible moves so quickly? That's some miracle drug there.
Nicolas? SO hard, musically! You did well! I think to pull this one off, completely on the breath, without any tongue or jaw tension, your staccatos would have to rival or exceed Tetrazzini, the Golden Age of bel canto queen of the staccato! Those little pulses of the diaphragm for staccati are easily 2 or 3 TIMES as fast as the Queen of the Night's vengeance aria! The fact that you even attempted this song at that tessitura, as a baritone instead of a coloratura soprano speaks volumes about your level of talent! Bravo, my friend!
@@NicD Most people would have no interest in listening to recordings made around 100 years ago. Myself, I love their artistry! Tetrazzini is one of my favorites! For a coloratura soprano, her fundamental pitch to buzz ratio is similar to Mario Lanza, at least to my ears. The kind of voice that would fill a theatre, even when singing softly... I meant every word that I said about your talent. Honestly, your voice astounds me. Take care, my friend! Much love, Susan
C'est quand même assez impressionnant, faut l'admettre ! Ce serait énorme d'avoir ta version dans le jeu. Bravo à toi en tout cas, c'est très bon, vraiment :)

dannyBstyle It's confusing to everyone, I'm sure haha. Also! I never got a chance to thank you for the compliment on the Family Business album some time back. And a second thanks for your awesome work :D
I love that opening. The low build-up, and then you get to... that part.

@@pointofnoreturn3103 Hehe, yeah, it's pretty intense. To the point, if I recall, even Daoust had to drop it down an octave to be able to sing
you make the impossible possible
What does it feel to be in the game now ?
The look of just pure "Oh, fuck no" at the beginning... and then you SOMEHOW managed to make it work. Kinda.
Classy Villain Gaming There was an attempt.
Definitely better than what I thought he’d do
Not enough staccato
When I heard 1:44 in the game I missed every beat and died. It was very funny.
They should've called you for Cadence of Hyrule, and put you in the game!!!!!!!
I have great news for you my friend
They did!
Wait, really?
A lesser man would have listened to that track once and not even attempted it.
Interesting solution. Also, nice high notes.
I listen to the original track quite a bit though! ~500 hours so far
seriously laughed my ass off multiple times.
I hope you are okay and that you haven't injured yourself :O

I just found the setting on my switch where I can make your voice default, and was thrilled to see the little character of you in the shop!! 😄
Me too!

OH MY GOD YOU ACTUALLY DID IT

I love how you interact with the camera, giving us thumbs up and stuff :D
Also: look at me interacting with my viewers! :-D
+Nicolas Daoust the best
I usually tell where the shop is by listening for faint sounds of singing, but this time I need to listen for the sounds of neck trauma.
Your reaction at 0:15 "What did Danny do with my voice!?".
I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING THAT'S AMAZING XD
This earned you a subscription, holy shit.
When you stub your toe and you turn it into a song to hide the pain
I'd like to imagine that from 1:59 onwards he keeps singing "Ow".
I respect you.
:-D Heh, that's an unusual choice of words; may I be so bold as to ask if English is your first language?
Is it that strange? You're right, I'm a Korean.
But that was true feeling after I saw this video. I admire your skillful vocal and passion. :)
Well, this way of expressing appreciation is more typical of Korean and Japanese culture (and maybe Chinese?), hence my curiosity.

Nicolas Daoust No, it is also kind of deep appreciation in Korean culture. I think that you deserve it. :)
0:28 That could have justifiably been the end of the video but you made the impossible happen.
Your voice is AMAZING
+MyNewSoundtrack eyyy
That was absolutelty genius. Never thought you were going to hit your own throat to sing that part. Amazing!

Holy shit are you human? Incredibly awesome!
Dude, you are fucking hilarious! Mad props not only for HAVING the balls to pull this off, but for SQUEEZING them as well! XD
I cant wait for the full voice makeover!
WolfTheGeneral Do you mean "completing the soundtrack" or "replacing every instrument with my voice"?
Nicolas Daoust Both would be amazing, imo
+Nicolas Daoust he means slapping some rouge on your adams apple and hitting the club.
I listen to this every morning when I wake up.
At first it was like "Oh, there is a guy covering the shopkeeper. I must see him do Styx and Stones!"
Not disappointed coming here at all, lol.
Very nice improvising on the 1:43 part. Must also hurt a bit. Or at least feel very uncomfortable.
It's not improvised, that how it's actually is
@@RainbowCuga The Freddie Merchantry version is impossible for a human to perform, so it sort of is improvised.
I would love to hear a Real Voice Version of 3-2 Cold.

This is glorious. I never would have thought of doing the quick stops like that.
I laughed too much at that intro, haha!
I didn't expect a video with this song being sung, you somehow surprised me by managing it.
