My sister and I checked out Treasure’s latest comeback! This is their first mini album titled, The Second Step: Chapter One, with the title track, ‘Jikjin’.
We have both been fans of Treasure since their debut, and they just keep on impressing us!
I look forward to their promotions and I can’t wait to check out the rest of the mini album!

@Jimmy Fell on what else do you want ? Treasure literally came out a 3 comebacks after their debut month after month. I mean I understand why they didn’t come back for a whole year.
@Jimmy Fell on they had a lot of activities last year. And a bunch of members are also studying, "Really studying" - top of their class. Some members also caught COVID-19 I think more than half of them, plus recovery period. A lot of the boys are also involved in the song production. They don't just take songs and sing it. They were busy.
As a YG fan since Bigbang Lollipop era. I'm used to this YG waiting game. Apparently, YG artists do a lot of things apart from just taking songs from producers and recording it. Most YG artists are dug up inside their studios, producing music, not just for their group but for other artists too. And let's not forget that some of the Treasure members are still students. Not just ordinary students but top of the class students. ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for your support for Treasure.
I get it you guys have been waiting for their comeback for a long time but so have we. They may not have been musically active for the past year since my treasure but they were really busy with other stuffs if you kept up with them. The web drama, treasure map and many other activities. They have been preparing for this comeback ever since October last year.
Being an IDOL isn't always about the music. If you guys were real treasure fans you would've unsrstood and be excited instead of being annoyed that they are gone too long
YG aren't hiding their artist but instead giving them the break and rest they deserve after constant promotions specially for Treasure. Their artists health and freedom is YG's top priority and the members seemed happy with the break they had after constantly being busy

I appreciate your comment. I really love Treasure’s music and have personally watched all the other content they have put out. I was very excited for their comeback, where my sister was frustrated. We have been fans of Kpop for so many years so we understand how a lot of different company’s run. YG has a specific way of running things and it works for them, but that doesn’t mean that fans won’t get frustrated. This video has venting and opinions in it, so please don’t take anything to heart.
people can get fustrated tht their group hasnt had a comeback but it doesnt mean they r mad. You saying tht if they were real treausre fans they would have been exicted instead of annoyed is stupid many fans were upset and excited. they were upset because they were gone for long but excited tht they came back. you r taking things way too serioulsy

@@cintiabryant4468 All i am saying is that we all get frustrated when the artist we don't love doesn't make a comeback and even though they have many contents music is something we miss from them. But still we should be satisfied with what we are given during this break. Its better than nothing you know

You need to react to their b-sides btw~~ cuz they participated in *ALL* of their songs in the mini, so the quality and identity is there in all their productions!
This MV intentionally brought in several references from various YG groups, really for those who know YG it took all the references from the previous songs and how they are done with the thing called #YGSTYLE. New YG fans and other fandoms didn't know how much quality music YG produced. This Treasure JIKJIN is just a masterpiece where many phrases are titles of other songs and groups and the choreography and gestures. The bridge instrumental also represents bang3x's bigbang bridge and the singing in the last part is also like bang3x's singing and also the "pedal to metal" is from blackpink and LALisa, the way they moved their hand from top to bottom and the steps in "jikjiiin" part reminds me of iKON - Why Why Why move. Treasure is definitely letting YG rise and claiming 2022 as theirs. Bigbang, and the others will definitely come back... geeezzzzzz YG stan really freaking out. Now, it all looks very familiar. the dance steps at the party ending, i see the winner's dance for everyday, blackpink's where they walk in a circle like simply moving their hands close to their heads and the rest "coincidences" from the YGA. upcoming returns and surprises from the other YGAs for the coming months. It's like everyone forgets Treasure released a whole years worth of content back to back to back to back. They had 4 MVs back to back to back to back. Thats 1 MV per season if they released it 1 every 4 months. But instead they chose to release them back to back to back to back 1 per month. They deserve their time off. Hopefully this year they don't drop everything all at once again and spread it out some more.
1:21 That's problematic. Yes they're "KPOP IDOLS" but they also need to rest, take time to produce high quality music, and work on various fields like Treasure Map, Web Drama, Variety Shows, Product Ambassadors, etc. to grow their "BRAND" and generate a lot of income. I understand that fans are hungry for their music but it's becoming toxic to demand just because of our own interests. This is what new Kpop fans should know, YG had been giving the upper hand in terms of income percentage to their artists compared to the rest of entertainment companies and I think them not just putting out music out there but other contents as well, it's a win-win. Pre-pandemic, everytime YG aritists drop an album-- world tour follows. Obviously, we're still in pandemic and so careful planning and strategy is needed.
Personally, I watched everything Treasure put out while on a break from releasing music, so I know the importance of working in different fields.
We both understand that idols need rest, but that doesn’t mean fans can’t get frustrated. No where in there did we “demand” anything, this was purely opinions and venting.
@@jordanrose21 I mean, we can be frustrated but still be understanding (reasons why it took time for them to come back) and responsible for what we say on the internet (sure it's you're opinion but it came off as problematic on my point of view). I'm speaking on general for the fans who kept on demanding for their idol's comeback especially from YG artists.
@@veritas5287 sorry you felt it was problematic but you can be understanding and frustrated. YG does this a lot, so it’s expected. Just over time, it’s tiring. I was very excited for their comeback, and so was my sister, we just handled it differently. Which is why I take responsibility for what we said. Like I said, it’s an opinion, so I hope you understand that. No hate, I respect how everyone feels, just want others to respect how we feel.

I don’t think she’s trying to come off as ignorant. We understand idols need breaks literally more than anyone in the music industry. Neither of us want a “comeback every month”, we are just frustrated cause YG has a long track history of doing this. It’s “their thing” ya, doesn’t meant fans can’t get frustrated every now and again. She isn’t call treasure or any of the artists in YG “dumb”, she’s just venting.

I think she’s just annoyed with how YG manages all the groups. No hate, but they are all the same in terms of comebacks (having to wait), and maybe she was hoping Treasure could be different? It’s just her opinion, not everyone views groups or companies the same. It was just her way of venting her feelings. It’s okay if you don’t understand, it’s just what she wanted to say 🙂
there's nothing wrong with what she said, and this is in response to your other comment as well. there's no need to be rude in your comments and come off as attacking the girls. the least yg could've done was give treasure a comeback in the middle or towards the end of 2021. i would've taken that over T-map and even the webdrama in a heartbeat, as much as i enjoyed them (the webdrama could've easily been pushed back to this month or next). also there's no excuse for yg not giving blackpink a single comeback in 2021. yes, i completely understand that idols need breaks, in fact i'm a huge proponent of them and almost wish my ults would take more. but we all know it wasn't to give blackpink a break, considering the members frustratingly asking fans to be patient because it wasn't in their control and they're working on stuff. i get so upset with yge because they get lazy and do the bare minimum with their artists because fans eat it up anyway and push them to the top. i mean if i were yg, why would i spend time and money giving bp 2-3 comebacks a year when i can make the fans so desperate for music that i can wait a year and the result will be even bigger? bp are practically just models atp and it's really frustrating
Edit: also i completely understand that idols, including treasure, need to do other activities besides just pump out music, that's just how it works. but if yge truly wanted to grow treasure's brand they would've given them another comeback because music is what draws in fans first, not modeling jobs and going on variety shows in place of that. also fans weren't even asking for a mini or full album last year, just a single album at the bare minimum lol 🤧

FIRST OF ALL, Treasure didn't get to win 1st on any music shows which is totally unexpected cause they deserved so much. If you watched their recent interviews, they said they took the time to reflect on what music direction to go to this time. Yes they could've made a comeback last year but did you forget they promoted for more than 6 months since their debut until their full album last year?
Because BLACKPINK isn't just a Kpop girlgroup, they're global artists. Unless Blackpink members themselves produces their music like other YG artists, then I think there's opportunity for more comebacks. REMEMBER, they are a 6-year old group so don't you think it's time for them to atleast grow individually and also see what music they woud put out next. This is a Kpoop group's downfall when they lose their individuality for their group brand. It's time for JENNIE, ROSE, LISA, and JISOO to make a name for themselves and not just as BLACKPINK. They're rare diamonds who shine brightly by themselves, what more if you put theme together? This is why BIGBANG members can stand on their own without needing to mention BIGBANG, this is GD's words btw.

While I can understand wanting more music from a group, your comments were pretty off putting. I kinda didn’t want to keep watching your video because the negativity was being projected so much in the start. I think myself and others didn’t appreciate your ‘honest opinions’ because they sound dismissive of all the work Treasure has done in the past year.
Treasure wasn’t locked away all this time. They debuted in Japan and released another song with MV: Beautiful. They also worked on a lot of online content like Treasure Map and their web drama. Members have been on variety shows. They got to do projects they typically wouldn’t get to do for years since they would be busy with concerts after comebacks. This comeback was even delayed due to a third of the members getting Covid. Heck, iKON was working on their album but had to take a break since 5 out of 6 got it too.
I’m sorry you feel that way. while it might be off putting, that’s just how we viewed it. I’m not here to sugar coat how I feel and neither is my sister. I don’t know if you watched the end of the video (clearly other people didn’t), but I praised Treasure and even complimented YG. People can view things differently, it’s just up to you if you can accept it 🙂. My sister and I have loved everything Treasure has put out and I’ve been watching all of their other activities from the start. This group has so much potential so we are just frustrated with the lack of music promotion over the last year. Nothing else. I know they did other things, but this was purely based on music. Yes they did a Japanese release and it was great, but it’s different. You don’t have to appreciate our comments, that’s your right, but in no way we’re we dismissing them, we missed them.
