Is the bass player playing bass, or a duck?
Sounds very much like an Electric Fretless.. since you like it so, I highly recommend Jaco. In the same session I'd seen a stand up Bass. Not sure it's a Double Bass or not but that MUAH sound you're hearing is usually heard on a Fretless no less..
