As a long time Stasis main, yep. But Bungie did confirm more fragment buffs and reworks were coming alongside that new Stasis Armor keyword so we'll see how that pans out.
hope they put the Hail the Storm perks on the aspects/fragments

@@DanYami IMO, Pillars of Ice and Hail the Storm kind of feel like the Behemoth and Revenant's equivalent to Shadebinder's Iceflare Bolts. Shadebinder is all about freezing enemies, so Iceflare makes sense, it allows them to chain freezes by shattering frozen targets. Behemoth is all about creating crystals, so it makes sense that they'd make more crystals whenever they killed frozen targets (albeit, I think it should be from shattering a crystal instead, and crystals spawned this way cannot spawn more crystals and their size being one tier lower than the initial crystal). Then finally, Revenant is all about slowing targets, so why not let them slow more targets whenever they shatter a crystal?
Now in saying this, I do still think that Hunter needs to be able to spread slow better on Revenant. It's inherently the weakest of the stasis mechanics in PvE, and Hunter doesn't feel like they're the best at slowing targets as the other classes are in their respective mechanics. If Hunter got the shards of ice part of Hail the Storm as an aspect, I'm of the opinion that those shards should also be released whenever an enemy is hit by the melee and whenever you shatter a frozen target. I also feel like slow should just last longer in PvE in general.
Edit: I also think that Silence and Squall is outright terrible as a super in PvE. They should either boost its damage or make it a more supportive super (I like the idea of having Silence and Squall function like a Renewal Grasp duskfield grenade).

Depends on what the tradeoff will be. Cause I don't see a world where we can still be able to get 65% DR with Renewals or 40% with the normal Whisper of Chains DR and still have the Stasis Armor keyword at the same time.
I would love that, it would make Renewals part of the meta if you can stack that 65% Resist DR and get a further say 25-40% DR from enemies.
But what I think will happen is they will rework Whisper of Chains which gives you a 40% DR near crystal and frozen targets to the Stasis Armor which will give 40 or maybe even 50% DR.
I hope it's not the latter cause it'll be a nerf to Renewals but a buff in general but hopefully we can stack Chains and Stasis Armor.

It'll be a titan keyword but I doubt it since woven mail is a thing. More likely we will eventually get new stasis supers and one new aspect per class. Keep in mind they are already building stuff for all light subclasses next year

You can mess him up with the vex laser, but it's kinda hard to be switching between holding it so it doesn't despawn and dropping it to kills all the adds. Definitively worth trying tho, you save a lot of heavy.

Bro that Stasis Warlock build with Bloodline was awwwwwwful. Definitely a Guardian Rank 5 submission.
Not only did the exotic weapon of choice suck for stasislock but there are also better mods to run it with.. Besides, not using turrets with osmiomancy gloves kinda defeats the purpose of even using those gloves.

@@Razer5542 actually a skilled osmio user can be alot more potent with regular nades rather than turrets, plunder has made builds for osmio before that dont utilize turrets, the thing is a direct contact gives almost if not full nade back and with iceflare bolt you can refreeze the target and ads non stop faster than the turret could ever do
@@moaazalnaggary4536thank you! Turret crutches sit in the back with a scout and plink away thinking it’s the most optimal way to play. Osmios allows for a really aggressive CC on ads and majors without the turrets and when you have a seasoned runner on your team you can notice the difference. Then again, sometimes it does depend on the encounter and ad density
Bloodline is actually very solid w Mancy. Just use that Stasis LMG we got as a Ritual for your grenade/add clear while Devour is active. This GM is double special friendly too
in my experience on the warlock you need to throw about 1000% more turrets out, and just keep breaking crystals to keep ability refresh boost thing going always. You will have your turrets available every 30 seconds or so. The super is total trash for almost everything, I use it to escape sticky situations, verglas curve is a way better exotic to use, the build works, I use almost exactly the same one to solo everything, including this GM...

@db1872 usually crafted apex, but it depends on the burn etc, I sometimes I use a gl...like I said just depends on the situation, energy and heavy are pretty flexible, as I am usually just breaking crystals with the bow, which gets a full stack of a barrage if you kill a couple things with the shatter
i used wicked implement and it works just as well.
@@ZanderDeveroux I only use the bow for the stasis crystal production, it is helpful to have as many sources as possible for the ability regen, that being said, I have also used wicked implement and you are correct, it works as well, I think its just up to play style

This series is honestly one of my favorites - I also have learned a fair bit from seeing builds I personally would have never thought of using in action. Exotic Armor/Weapon combos I wouldn't have honestly thought of.
For the bakris build it is always needing to be dodging. That's why the ammo situation is happening. Build is fun but for endgame you need to rely on a lot of factors.
Indeed that's why I use foetracers. It is way easier to proc. I use foetracers with wicked implement and rending, it shreds everything from a safe distance and deals with every champion...well except barrier since you can only freeze them once before a cooldown happens now.
Yeah that's why you streamline builds instead of overly complicated ones that make you jump through hoops while trying to survive and complete objectives
Build was always out of ammo because the sidearm was the only thing in the build doing *any* amount of damage. Stasis is great for cc, but it only brings a bit more cc than alternatives while bringing absolutely no damage.
@Cyrriously that's why you need to make use of rending. With rending you can do great damage. Almost every stasis build I use makes use if that fragment.
Stasis can do some pretty good damage but you got to build into it properly, to make use of rending you need also need a way to freeze things constantly. That's why I use duskfeilds, with a few mods it's pretty easy to have it up a lot.
@@loreseeker6604seriously, I think people just don't read what fragments do, rending is a 45% buff to primary damage and that includes revision sniper, quicksilver nades, devil's ruin beam and mythoclast linear mode
For safe play from far back, Stasislock.
For a more medium to closer range play, Hunter on Renewals. While I prefer Verglas for that constant grenade regen, Renewals and Buried Bloodline is a very underrated combo. 65% DR and Health Leech/Devour makes you nigh unkillable.

the secret sauce is to use renewal grasps as a primarily long range build, use it like you would any other grenade, even thought youre not always taking advantage of the DR, the extra duskfield radius is huge. And in certain situations where enemies are rushing you the DR give added survivability

the down time still exist even with max disc build + fragment grenade and ability regen on shatter crystal
assume you can overcome it and spam the grenade , best you can do is 2 exist at the time which not even help much consider your dmg output still low as ever when it come to boss

renewal graps is a defensive build that only make the gameplay feel slower
rather just run foetracer and have crystal spawn to shatter
with all this combination of disavantage and copium , you better slap on orpheus rig and be a tether bitch or on strand with wish keeper

I am loving the additional special ammo side arms we got. When I initially saw anti-barrier side arm I was like what the hell is this shite? But then started getting more special ammo side arms and I’m really enjoying them

Not sure who came up with this idea of build battles but it’s definitely a great series.
Had a run of the hypernet grandmaster with a team of all 3 stasis subclasses. I was running a turret spam build, the titan was smashing ALOT of crystals and the hunter had some super spam build. It was glorious aside from the final boss where things slowed down a but but it was realatively easy run
Yeah, Stasis kinda requires a lot of factors when being the only Stasis guy in the team or it'll be broken with a full fireteam of Stasis users.
Honestly I have been running stasis titan with precious scars, and wicked implement, most champions this season are overload and Unstop, and the gun can stun both no problem, plus with stasis mods it’s kinda insane how many crystals you can spawn, I’d recommend giving it a try Aztecross, id hop in the stream to try and submit a class battle but I work nights so it hasn’t worked out, but if you see this give it a shot! One of my favorite builds this season
Precious scars on stasis is such a move, only thing I hated about stasis was the lack of health regen
I’m doing verglas with armamentarium and it blew me away. If I had the wicked I would do the stasis helm for lances but I’m never gna get that thing.

I use void lock for PVE, but am I the only one that saw he wasn’t playin stasis warlock too well. He’d freeze champs then ignore them for rank and file enemies. Stasis warlock is all about freeze and shattering for damage and he would use it for single target, not AOE where it excels at. Idk why bloodline was in the build, it’s super average too lol
I'm not gonna blindly defend Cross here because I am a Stasis lock and with the cool down nerfs it's harder to keep uptime of true frozen like it was when class ability armor perks worked like they did. As much as this is edited, I didn't see too many issues aside from trying to lean too much into the Exotic weapon which is the point of whoevers build this is, which is the point of the series. Contextually it looks like he w as slowing Champs so his team with the right mods could take them out and keep the "spree" going on the build. I don't disagree that wasting the Stasis kit on dregs is a good idea in GM tier content but in most cases you are fighting non Champion enemies and he's trying to show what happens when you chain the build together in a more common scenario
The buried bloodline kinda just felt like recency bias, not that it actually goes well with stasis warlock.

I haven’t played D2 since the pirate season, but I remember my PVE warlock build was more or less the first one except for using that exotic trace rifle to mass spam the Iceflare bolts and to freeze champions. Hands down the only reason I could do end game stuff.

I love Shadebinder using BXR (demolitionist and incandescent) with Agis or Conditional👌🏼 Demo works perfectly as it gives you grenade energy off shatters and reloads when you throw a grenade.
looking at that first build only made me wanna play my Fallen Sunstar Arc Warlock, sliding Cold Heart into it with some fragment swaps, been having a lot of fun with it.
Frostees + A wave frame with the glacier made build feels great and has the glacier up more often than a titan. Titan creates more shards, but hey. Still a good time.
finally, cross sees a good moth keeper build. i love using them they’re so busted fr
i think the first build you throw the nades as normal and then for the boss battles you go turrets. just those gloves can return the full nade if you hit directly on a champ.
Could use some different build for Hunter imo. I’m running Renewal with Lament + solar buff on legs + aspect to generate grenade upon taking damage along with the other usual suspects for aspects that most builds will use. Doesn’t feel like most people use that specific aspect.
Couple bow options instead of Verglas:
Raconteur is a craftable budget Verglas with headstone + archers tempo with artifact to break shield to slow, the Warlord Ruin strand bow with Hatchling & explosive head if you want the unraveling rounds from the artifact or you can use Pre Asentax as a solar bow to get the radiant synergy from the artifact.
You can kinda play around with the other weapon slot as you would like, hope this helps 🤟🏾
I have been using stasis and the Verglas bow to run a few GMs and I gotta say I actually had very good results with it. I’ll admit that a lot of the work comes from the bow itself, as stasis has few synergy
loops aside from “shatter crystals and enemies to get ability regeneration”.
And I’ll also admit that it depends on the artifact increasing the shatter damage (can’t remember if it also increases radius). I currently believe, though I could be wrong, that the artifact is a current workaround solution while they work on something more permanent.
But lastly, I gotta say it also depends on the nightfall. Stasis will work better imo with nightfalls where there is higher enemy density. Freezing one enemy then shattering them is actually a decent source of damage to enemies around, so I had good results with it in cosmodrome psiops and moon heist.
This one nightfall shown on the video here imo is not a very nice one. It’s actually quite sparse given that it was released this year, so stasis won’t work as well imo.
It’s kind of ironic that I see complains about psiops and heist as GMs, because I really enjoy their density, and I’d rather play them than this Lightfall strike if I’m being honest.
I turned D2 on yesterday, looked at my character, and logged out. I’ll still watch your stuff, but I’m not playing until a couple months before the FS to bounty farm.
I Love using Stasis Titan with stronghold and Lament. It’s a great balance between tankiness and damage output
Honestly for the osmiomancy glove build I use verglas curve for an emergency Wall whenever I needed it

What do you think about doing a winners and losers bracket style for some follow up videos? What I mean is take some of the builds that lost and let them compete against each other directly. We've seen a lot of good builds, and I think seeing them compete against other losers or winners might be good content

Verglas Curve needs a buff to act like wish-keeper where precision hits or final blows build up the exotic perk.
100%. The reason I don't use it in end game is because it can't kill red bars to build up stacks fast enough, but once you can get the stacks going (like you can in low light content) it's very good, just not in gms at the moment.

Definitely have a more competitive stasis hunter build for you. I feel stasis hunter 21:48 is more a support role than a damage role but it can definitely make gms and endgame content a breeze with the correct builds. I think bakris is more intended for short burst damage with the buffs it gives and of course pvp.
I feel like stasis need to be loved more, it needs to be as strong as strand…stasis even with the buffs they feel really weak imo

For the stasis warlock, try cryosthesia. I think it got a stealth buff.
If it wasn't for the seasonal artifact Stasis probably would have been far worse. I love Stasis the whole Vibe. But it's lack of damage, verbs that are a bit hard to pull off due to low ability uptime, and poor survivability make it a tough sell. Overshields got nerfed and the one that grants resistance also conflicts with shard generation as you'd need to shatter them loosing your resist. Man it's rough right now.
For me it's the nades not really doing anything on their own, they're really good but they don't seem to just work right out of the box like other nades do
I swear I saw some Bungie article or video with a dev mentioning some new Stasis verb like 'Frost Armor' or something.
That could be interesting to see. Something like Woven Mail I'm assuming. Maybe stacks as you stand near your crystals and slowly depletes when away or taking damage?

Ice Man from the X-Men got around by sliding on a sheet of ice. That would be pretty neat. But I'd settle for more damage.

For GM I wonder if Wicked Implement would be better than Verglas. I prefer Verglas when I'm going more the Glacial DR route but for the type of build this is going for I feel WI would be better.
That or a Lead from Gold + Volt (or even Adagio) Indebted with Agers Scepter for a double special.
wicked is pretty good for gms taking it slowly but verglass is pretty good for dmg and getting grenades. then you even have crazy dmg resist with it
A MoB build? I love to see it. Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of The VG bow. Definitely would have switched it out for the ages scepter.

I guess I'm weird and enjoy renewals a bit more for hunter since it gives you DR for a safety net.
Renewals, verglass, duskfield and a demo/incandescent calus is the build this wanted to be
First build was actually okay just used kinda wrong. The idea is around procking devour THEN killing stasis targets as kills with devour refresh devour and generate grenade energy for more osmio turret spam. In this order you can snowball alot more just a bit of a hoop to get going
hey cross i had an idea where instead of just u using the build, u also had the whole team use the build.
For Hunter build swap IK with a primary ammo, and use Ages Scepter instead
Stasis builds right now need the tracking fragment to make sure you have some kind of recovery
The exotic sidearm sounds like a plunger 🪠
i would submit a nice stasis titan build where you spam stasis javelins, but i dont have enough eggplants
Swap Bakris for renewal grasps, put on duskfield, sidearm is ok but an incandescent/demo sub like calus is way better. Shoot bow to freeze. Stand in the duskfield, stay healed, clean up with sub, get back grenade. Shoot bow again, throw grenade, moved to next field, clean up again. Profit.
while i do love the add clear of Voltshot, i feel like Indebted Kindness has better use with Adagio. If you manage one with Explosive Ordinance and Beacon Rounds, the ammo efficiency *ahem* sky-rockets. You hit harder and without needing to aim as much, and MY GOD at full stacks, that rocket will do u-turns, midair. It also leaves some final blows for teammates to scoop up and proc their own stuff.
You're better off using the fusion rifle from the final share pre-order with osmiomancy gloves on warlock, double charged shots that freeze on impact is goated.
Honestly, I’m always thinking “My build is absolutely crutching with this Fireteam” 😂
My Stasis Hunter build runs this same idea, just that I use Ex Diris instead for that free Amplified and good AoE clearing :3

I love osmio with vergalas but it is definitely more of a support build and lacks in dmg output.

Both builds had some great ideas in them, but they just do not work for endgame content. I have dedicated stasis builds on all three classes and I’m very happy with how strongly they perform
Can't wait for when people submit team builds.
Switching bloodline with quicksilver and specing into primary ammo damage and shatter damage for stasis is the way to go, no turrets needed, and quicksilver crushes with increased damage to frozen targets
renewal grasps is defintely a better option for the hunter build. lead from gold and attrition orbs is my favorite roll for indebted kindness so far

Warlock didn’t build into grenade spam enough. Regardless of nerf, grenade kickstart would’ve really helped. And sunshot > buried bloodline
In terms of defensive and survival aspect of things, stasis (on warlock at least) is really really good. I just feel like it needs more of an offensive ability as it is not great for damage at all.
PS agers + qullims terminus unrelenting/headstone is OP for survival
Stasis needs something like a “shatter rounds” buff so stasis weapons actually interact with the subclass
I mean head stone exists. If your build revolves around crystals a headstone bow is super good. plus with the one fragment you shatter them with one arrow. Only problem is outside of crystals, there is nothing, hurting the potential of warlock turret builds where we really make no crystals, just shatter(This season though we can with the one artifact mod)
We have Headstone and Chill Clip which are arguably better than something like Voltshot which is still great but is, imo, the weaker of the sub class synergizing perks.

You cannot do this on stasis. You are required to have the perk on the weapon

These builds work better in gms that are a bit more closed off and less spacious. Last weeks gm I ran both of these and they were killer!
Renewals are definitely the way to go for stasis hunters vs bakris

I get what the first build is trying to do but trying to get devour from bloodline but that's way too infrequent of happening especially when u can't really get the kill w how many shots it takes I can't realistically see the justification in that build to use it but to each thier own

Stasis seems to really suffer in passive play. It seems to shine best when you can play aggressively and keep the synergies and damage up (like the titan build a few episodes ago), but outside of that it's still useless :(
Oh and I guess there's bleak watcher turrets. Those are the only good "passive stasis" build

Any build contingent on getting kills to “make it work” is automatically low-mid tier content build; as there is no guarantee in high-end content that you’re going to get your kill requirements to “make it work”. High-end stuff revolves around mastery and teamwork. Builds should be designed with your team in mind.
The new stasis finisher triggers Pilar of ice and hail the storm. It’s pay to win and you have to only use it or another stasis finisher.
Special finisher+proximity ward for special ammo and survival
There are a bunch of neutral finishers that count as dealing dmg from whatever subclass you are using.
Gambit build battle when?
Is it just me or do the stasis supers need some serious buffs in pve. Squall is like a sneeze, shadebinder is like a weakened dawnbringer
Totally. The only use they have is freezing lots of mobs that are about to overwhelm you but they're crap for boss damage. The worst bit about stasis on hunter and warlock is the super but at least warlock has some decent grenade/exotic armour options.
Stasis on warlock is about control. I would love for the lock to get some damage love on stasis but he is a control component.

Imma be real here... the warlock one sucks even more because you need Buried Bloodline AND it's catalyst. And for the hunter, you just need special ammo finder or Lead from Gold (and spam your melees, its free dmg and recharges stupidly fast with stasis shards).
Wicked implement with indebted kindness is better for warlock
