How in the Nine Levels of Hell have I NEVER heard of this movie before??!! I'm completely blown away. I'm 60 and have been catching up on horror movies from the 70s for quite a while. Going down the rabbit hole, somehow I ended up here. I knew right away it was a winner, but the surprises kept coming. John Huston, Franco Nero and Lance Henriksen were nice, but then Glenn Ford? WOW! Then Shelley Winters?? The music, acting, cinematography, birds, good v. evil, the lights, overall strangeness, science fiction, fantasy, abduction, heaven and UFO themes are INSANE. Then the violence and blood. It has everything I could ever want. I'm actually glad I didn't see this when I was 16 because I think it would have changed my life course. My God! This is an AMAZING movie. I really needed this. Thank you so much. ❤
I don't know if you've ever heard of the channel New Castle After Dark, but it's just the thing you'd enjoy given what you've said 👍
- A couple of guys introduce old '70s / 80s horror mystery drama films, then we all watch the movie together - it has a lovely community around it too!

The GOAT of NYC sports talk radio history had his only cameo ever in this forgotten gem. Steve Somers is the play-by-play announcer in the early basketball game scenes.
I love that shot at 1:12 with the surrealistic special effects. Simultaneously cheap yet utterly gorgeous to look at and punctuates the film with incredible atmosphere. This is a bonkers movie!
John Huston and his legendary voice
Absolutely love this movie, I first saw it back in the 80s when it was shown in the middle of the night with a bunch of other “lost uncommercialy” viable movies. How this rare gem was missed is beyond me.
Many thanks for presenting this classic,
Franco Nero, as blondie, Renaissance-era Obi-Won-Jesus?
Fighting an evil 1970s child-psychic?
To save a room fulla mystic shaved-head kids? (and the spooky, reverse-desert-latte dimension)
.....HELL YEAH, I'M IN! 🍿
Nero totally iconic looking badass as always, but his role is literally 3 shots and is uncredited, wtf is that about?
Who woulda thought that rich people in their smart modern 1970s kitchen would have a *_giant 7 UP lampshade!_* 😳
......Is this _product placement?_ - Coz, it's REALLY conspicuous!
"Aren't you a cripple molester" may be the strangest line in any film.
"I would, if you'd give me a chance!"
- These Italian / American productions always have these really weird incongruous lines in their dialogue......Kinda part of their oddball charm, in the end
Wow. What a bizarre film. Lots of big actors. The editing. Was. Crazy. Director definitely high on drugs.
The beginning was bizarre and that drew me in instantly
The movie is bonkers enough,
but to smashcut to a LOUD basketball game for 2 minutes (+ then never again) is just d e r a n g e d !
A horror film? Or just a bizarre movie but an excellent soundtrack that captures the 70’s vibe.
That lil girl is scarier than anyone in this movie, pretty good tho.
Another bonkers gem I never heard of.Thanks to "How did this get made.?"
It's a classic from the 70s ,very popular back in the day, like other classics like "the brood" "the davis baby aka it's alive " " the gargoyles " from the 1970s. Another show called the "visitor" and "audrey rose" and " the reincarnation of Peter proud" and other classics like "angel" and "starman".
I remember watching this movie nearly 40 years ago as a young boy when Philadelphia’s WPHL17 used to have a nighttime program called The Moving Picture which had this movie one Friday Night since I’ve watched it with a few family members and all .
Lol, Satan was a galactic overlord, but Yahve and his spaceship captured him XD
Nontheless, the visuals are gorgeous. At least for the first 7 minutes. That's perfect.
Franco Nero as the blonde and blue eyed intergalactic Jesus is worth the price alone. The first five minutes and last five minutes are very powerful stuff.
This is a hell of a fantastic' bizarre' amazing' and spellbinding vintage italian horror movie I'm loving it
I liked it reminds me of starship invasion with Christopher Lee. Both films I've never seen nor heard of but vintage films that are good
John Huston and Sam Peckinpah, great directors in this movie.
Pretty good movie and decent quality. The only issue is that it gets slow at points...they could have easily edited a good 20 mins off the run time. Thanks for sharing.
Easily! 😂
A fun Glenn Ford cameo that is for the birds! Glenn Ford UA-cam Channel: ua-cam.com/users/RobbGF
Omen (female version) movie
Can’t believe I’ve never heard about it. The ending felt a little cobbled together…but the overall vibe and cinematography were dope af.
I consider this an Italian classic. The cast is great! Good vs Evil! Has a biblical touch to it! The soundtrack is excellent! I saw The Visitor many years ago on tv, never forgot it! A favorite.
Shelley Winters served that evil child some discipline
@1:17:10
One of my all time favorites
LOL ! ! ! Such a glorious sh!tshow, I have to watch it again when I'm high. LOVE this kind of stuff, the 70's knocked out some bonkers films. Subscribed!
I was just about to watch and started on comments, read yours, and just have never heard shitshow before, but oddly enough shitshow, perfectly matched a hundred or more big things that have always stood out to me, and seemed false, but not ever been challenged, but seemed confident it wouldn't be. Well it needed a name, so thanks. It's all the fervor that serves as the distraction. and less than predictabe, like the 100th time you read the same book.It frustrates me to no end, but way worse with cooperation from the general public. Getting away with anonyminity, and enjoying such an easy control over humanity. Sorry if I'm actually a loon, man, straight out of the outfield. I criticize everyting and i wish I didn't have to watch the shitshow. but anyway, did you pick that up somewhere, or make it up yourself?
My favourite kind of movie: great and terrible in equal measure, and completely inscrutable.
Was Katie's evil in her hair?
1:28:32 Falcon: Dang it! How do the Raptors in Jurassic Park do this?!
This isn't a horror sci-fi, this is a comedy i laughed the whole movie 😀
Lol 1:29:21.
This film is weird.
I think they were trying to make a scary film, bad editing and execution.
i like the film but yeah they tried to sort of mash up 4 films the omen, the exorcist, close encounters and final destination and at parts it s a bit weird but i think it keeps a good pace.
The destiny of all italian pulps ;D
@@richardupton3323 and Birds.
The Omen was def looming throughout. Less so Exorcist. The only parallel I see is that the possessed is a young girl, except she isn't so much possessed as actually evil incarnate. I need to see Close Encounters. Final Destination wasn't for another 20 years (2000).
Mel Ferrer, Shelly Winters, John Huston, Glen Ford, Lance Henriksen, Sam Peckinpah, , so, a bunch of old actors doing cameos with a young Lance..
I enjoyed the movie but it really is dated in 1978..
Ahhh, feathered hair, tube sock, typewriters and NO cell phone, computers and notice all the thin people... The 70s
she wanted a little brother to torture to no end, and now i can picture what it must of been like the day my older sister did the same thing.
I loved it... I wished I could have seen it when i was little.
very good movie
Good movie.

Love the soundtrack towards the end of the film
I Don't Have Been Any idea What's The Story In Incolding In This Film?, 🤔🤔🤔🤝
i never knew kestralls were so evil
Must be a professional assassin Kestrell 🦅 🤔 🥷
geweldige film
Wow, that was about as good and made as much sense as the 1980s film Flash Gordon.
Remember this from years ago. Good movie, and a good cast. It reminds me of a cross between The Omen and Phantasm. A good "Tall Man" from a similar dimension, birds instead of spheres. Enjoyed it. 👍👍
20 mins and haven't a clue what's going on! 🤔🤣🇮🇪
I'm a pretty bird. 🐦 🦜
a very bizarre film but it keeps a good pace and is quite enjoyable, thank you for this.
yeah look, it's pretty terrible considering films like Alien, The Omen and The Exorcist were being made at the same time on similar money; the peformances are decent but fundamental issues with editing, script and exposition, however... the soundtrack is absolute gold, first class
the soundtrack is like jazz-funk library music meets old sports highlight reels
weird movie....no continuity. must have been the director's acid trip from the 60's.
This is what happens when you try to direct a movie while on drugs. 🤔
At the end he said he hasn't killed Katie only the evil part but in fact he has
killed someone, the evil Katie but he has replaced her by another person,
the good Katie. But why did he had to cut off her hair?
????? Who knows. No sense. At all.
This was a really good movie ! Good always overcomes evil ! Acting and plot very good. Thanks for sharing it !
Yep. Good over evil and children are not to be harmed. You hear that groomers!
This is a silly movie.
I still love it so (like *Starcrash),* but it is quite silly.
Haven’t watched this one yet but relatably, I’ve seen Starcrash way back in 2011 and wondered if I had to be high to enjoy that movie. It was completely ridiculous though so I had fun with it. I was actually looking to see if anybody had made a crappy StarCraft movie and found it by sheer accident.
Legitimately Beautiful cinematography, but some of the scene edits are BRUTAL! (Desert! / Basketball court! / Bedroom! / Busy city street! / Airport! - Bam! Bam! Bam!)
- I've heard some say the editing was quickly redone for the U.S. market release, but idk
(And, half the music choices are like bonkers-level off-tone - and come in CRAZY LOUD too! .....Maybe the same guy edited the music as well as the images??)
i just learned about this film because the sportscaster in the basketball scene is a longtime sports talk radio host in NYC with a dedicated and loyal following and he was talking about his cameo recently with a caller who brought it up. second, as a horror buff, i needed to see this. i agree it was hard to hear in the basketball when i wanted to hear the commentary of my favorite sports radio voice!
Don’t do ads
Moral of the movie: *Never wrestle a kestrel while driving* ☝🤨 42:40
EDIT: (Am I seeing that right??.....That IS an actual stuntman, isn't it, not a dummy?) !😱 44:00 😱!
Bro, death by bird
This wouldve been a good sequel to Omen
right?! instead of the progressively worse official sequels. it works sort of as an anti-sequel in that it's God seeking to kill Satan's spawn vs. The Omen where Damien seeks to kill the new Messiah. in any case, it's a much better sequel than the forgettable made-for-TV film Omen IV (1991). there's actually a prequel Omen coming out this year "The First Omen".
The girl looks like she's 13 or 14. Eight years old? Come on!
I wouldn’t say she was _that_ old, but that’s besides the point. It’s odd that of everything in this crazy flick that was the flaw that stood out most to you! 😂 Ah well, we all see things differently.
she was at least 12-13 during filming. born in 1966
kung fu katie on ice
That bugs me man that really bugs me Glenn Ford at his best
So basically this is a biblical version of the X-men.
It would have worked better as a comic book...
👌 Kool Beans!!
40:04 does anyone know where was this filmed?? I'm really curious about the house
I remember this was playing with some other "horror" movie at the drive in way back in 1979- 80. I didnt pay much attention to it then(too young to understand i guess) still a weird fil though
Strange alien Jesus movie.
Franco Nero 👋🙂👍👍👍
Fantasy architecture
The amount of ads during this is rediculous, about every 3 minutes!
Sam Peckinpah

The Visitor is one of the greatest movies ever made . The little girl in this movie is a legend !
@@mordecaiesther3591 She was awesome. Love her accent.
@@Tony_Cardoza just some info . She gave a commentary and said John Huston stepped in and saved her . The higher up wanted to get rid of her accent . He said NO… he could work with her . So she got to keep her accent . And she said Shelly Winters really smacked her really hard .
@@mordecaiesther3591 I just watched the smack scene a little while before I had commented earlier, and I was thinking how it looked like a real slap. The look on Paige Connor's face seemed like legitimate pain/anger. Great little actress, she was. Shame she wasn't in more movies. Always liked John Huston, glad he stuck up for her. Thanks for the info, btw.

Filme editado é uma bosta é bom é o filme completo mesmo
I had never heard of this movie before Rifftrax did their thing with it. Why is that? It has Lance Henriksen in one of his early roles, why didnt I know about it sooner? It's also a cult film these days, apparently. It's clearly one of those flicks that came out, bombed, vanished without a trace, and only resurfaced in the internet age. Same with Parts: The Clonus Horror, another flick from 1979 I had never heard of until MST3K did their thing with it. Isn't it funny how that happens? Also, 1977's Starship Invasions is ANOTHER movie I'd never heard of until Rifftrax covered it. And that had the legendary Christopher Lee, who was clearly slumming it at that point in his career!
Anzi. Il soggetto è cmq interessante. Lo ricordo perfettamente quando uscì. E dopo 30 anni ho trovato il DVD. 🤟
too silly

Weird film, 70's style.
Another devil 70's film.

This is a classic, disjointed, who knows what's going on, nails on blackboard, ear shattering sound effects 1970's movie. Thankfully, they don't make 'em like this anymore. Don't waste your time.
A name cast and probably a decent budget, but a simple plot that doesn't warrant 1:48 or viewing.
Great cast... sadly,all wasted.
tedious & pointless
THE WORST MOVIE THAT I HAVE EVER ENDURED!
This Film was so BORING and what a waste of time! And I say that as a Person, who very much enjoys slow and aesthetical movies...
