Thank You so much! my fuse for my horn and blinkers kept blowing and I thought it was the relay. I have searched here on youtube for my blinker relay because I thought that was the problem. I was about too put it in the shop then I saw your video and I went out and sure enough. Bare wires going through my front fender. I taped up the wires and now my fuse does not blow anymore. Thank You So Much!
My Man you are the best. Thank you Thank you So much. I have been trying to figure this out for 3 days and was ready to take it to Dealership. My 04 softail kept blowing the accessory fuse. Mine had got pinched in between the fork steering stop. Exactly the same issues as you described in your video. I cut the wire and everything is working now. (will splice it together tomorrow.) You just saved the day. Cheers from Ontario Canada.
this was the first of many that helped me at least on the cost of fuses ...I had a battery blow up while riding a bike in similar now after that it will not start and blows same fuse now I'm hoping I can find the short thanks and I might need more helpful tips from you on narrowing it down thanks l
Very helpful, appreciate you taking the time to make the video. I had the same type issue on my 2000 Softail installed the 2 amp circuit breaker and had no more problems.
Hey Allen great video and very helpful. My accessory fuse keeps popping I'm having a devil of a time running down the issue. I noticed in the comments that someone said that after installing L.E.D lights theirs would pop. Do you think their is a correlation ? 2004 Ultra classic.
The main thing is to find a resetable breaker. Mine is a 2 amp resetable aircraft circuit breaker. The rest is just wires and connectors. Where I plugged it in the fuse contacts I cut spade connectors narrow enough (same width as fuse legs) to push into the Harley fuse box.
I got a 2007 Electra glide everytime I press the horn the fuse blows in my tail light and my turn signals and brake light. Maybe they could be the problem you think?
You have a short to ground like I had. Since it happens when you press the horn switch it most likely is somewhere in the wire from the switch to the horn.
@@AllanR747 unfortunately someone decided not to stop at a stop sign total my Harley broke my arm bruised my ribs my shoulder my back my leg hopefully I'll be riding again soon. Thanks
Yep, still have the bike and no issues with that circuit again. Just goes to show you that little details matter. I normally tell people all they need to know about electricity is, "All the little electrons are coming out of the ground looking for a buss!"

Good video but not my problem. Mine keeps popping the Acc fuse even with key off. It's at the dealer right now lol
good find thanks for the video
Fascinating tester, how does one make one of those???

what if i have no front fender light?
Then you most likely have a short to ground at another area/wire.
What's that wire for? I found that wire cut and it ended up blowing the fuse on mine too
The marker light on the front of the fender.
I you just beat me to it by 15 hours and 45 minutes..haaa
Quit blowing your horn and tell us what's blowing the fuse!!!
Wow, you think Harley of all companies Harley Davidson could do a better job than that
