I almost choked to death on my drink when Preach started memeing about his dead guild and chat goes "hello and welcome to the Fatboss guide to killing a guild on mythic" LOL
Why does "Scarlet Crusade Roleplayer" trigger such a reaction in us all? It's probably the edgelord out edging Havoc mains who are into that tantric shit.
Well, it is the reputation they've made for themselves. Sure, 'not all Scarlets', but when I hear "Scarlet Crusade roleplayer" I just immediately assume "roleplays as either outright or passive-aggressive racist [against non-human races]".
I had Sephuz’ secret as my first leggo…2 patches before it got buffed in 7.1.5 As a Havoc Demon Hunter, it later became bis but initially it only procced from Belf racial silence
First story: "Having family dinner was important to them and a house rule." In one single sentence, this turned from only minorly weird to "wow, they really phrased it like that as a fully grown adult and found absolutely nothing wrong with it."
I quit WoW 10 years ago and I still got triggered by Mike shitting on healers. He may mysteriously die when it doesn't jeopardize the kill. Because loot comes first. But killing Mike comes second.
Soccer as the word for Football did start in England, but it was by the posh boys who didn't want their precious rugby football confused with the other football more popular with the peasants. So if you call football "soccer" you're basically a toff.
tbh ever since blizz came down harsher on erp, i get what he means about rp realms. people are generally friendlier there, and you'll just walk in on people talking about things in-character while questing. it's just nice, so long as you don't linger in Certain Places! but those places are pretty small and easy to avoid, thankfully, so it works out.
I once interviewed at the business one of my guildies was the VP at and I had gotten so used to calling him by his in-game name for so many years that during the interview with his hiring manager I accidentally mentioned him by his in-game name. The guy looked at me like he was now skeptical of the entire interview up to that point and asked me how I knew {{in game name}}. That was when I realized I screwed up, corrected myself and then told him "from an online game and that was me calling him by his name on the game". I did get offered a job! I ended up declining though due to how much travel would be required, as I had a young family at home. Still friends with said guildie a couple of years later.
Having dinner together is such a weird thing to me. I guess it's a UK thing or something? What if you have different schedules/aren't hungry at the same time/etc?
It was very normal and expected where I grew up in the southern United States, particularly when you have children in the home. Same in South Korea where I live now.
Social officers deal with interpersonal drama in guilds or similarly structured online groups. It's like the HR department except you actually get yelled at for not doing stuff.

Though I understood the hate, I will always adore Legion. I was one of the few who got insanely lucky on my chars for their leggos.

Being a scarlet crusade roleplayer is probably the fastest way for me to not interact with someone.

Why did you tell him to find a guild in trade chat though
Where DO you go to find a good guild?
@@1993httphil Literally anywhere but trade chat-
@@1993httphil you stalk players in the capital city & LFG and look which guilds are popular and have the least hobos
@@1993httphil Recruitment discord is okay, but most at high levels you need to know someone.
"American Football=Battletech Rugby"-nice one lol
43:50
Back in my day, we called these "Farm Guilds" or "Poach Bait." 😅
Hmmm. All of a sudden, I'm feeling like America may be the biggest example of a cesspool guild? Anyone got some input?
The fact that the raid leader's right-hand man is French is a huge red flag.
Feel like ive heard this one before

That story of the healer and ret with the healer not healing the other healer. Had to be pure jealousy.

My BF almost never gets PI, because he's not playing a good PI recipient, what loonies
Being 22 doesnt automatically mean your parents should kick you out fyi

Damn, NTR story even here ...

"N" for nope!
Preach sounds so triggered
Soccer? Sort your life out
Haven’t watched yet. Is this gonna be another episode of wow drama fan fiction?
n
well that was a pointless and cringey story
The people sending in the stories need to learn about brevity. That story went on for so long I lost interest.

All good questions. The answer is, you show up for dinner because your wife said so. For some reason women think family dinner is cool or something.
USA here; very standard for everyone I know
German here. It's been a thing for 99% of people ive known my entire life.
Norway here. I don't think I've known anyone who doesn't have dinner together with their family/partner or what have you.

Wth is a social officer, is it the bs diversity officer? If you were sociable you wouldnt be sitting in front of a computer all day.
