Great video as usual. Your videos are always extremely informative with top notch production. A similar video geared toward setting up for online only broadcast would be beneficial for inexperienced churches, with the COVID-19 pandemic preventing traditional services.
Ukulele 😂 I’ve been to churches all over the world never seen a ukulele but it would be rad 🤔 other than that with is an awesome video and very informative
Very well done and detailed. This should really help the 'Sound Man' get the sound source technicals out of the way, so that he can concentrate on the mixboard.
Being that this is an older video I don’t know if you’ll see this comment or not but I was wondering if you could do a video on live church sound? Like how run the sound system and mixing, and micing and all that. Cause I’m going to start running the sound for my church and this would be incredibly useful :)
Good deal... We have a small church and I am wondering if you could do a content for a small church setup (with cheaper or alternative tools that we can use)
This was cool. But as a bass player of 30 years I would never want to be standing where he put me. The bass player usually likes to be on the hi-hat side of the drummer so they they eyeball changes easier. There are always exceptions, but that has been the rock and jazz standard since the day “rhythm section” was first invented. I guess in this case the keyboard player must be calling the changes.
I need your suggestions about the PA system. I'm looking to buy one of those Rockville PA system kits. Would you recommend one for a small church usage? i need to hook up an electric acoustic guitar and a couple of the mics. Gonna be used for a few hours weekly. Thanks for your help
Hello, Ross! That’s a relatively complex back and forth conversation to potentially have. We don’t sell Rockville, but we carry every major PA brand. Feel free to reach out to me directly with my contact info linked below. Thanks for the interest! Spunde, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1732, Spunde@Sweetwater.com

how not to get electric shock in this set up,, like our church we active speakers,, we sometimes get electric shock by microphone or touching the strings of bass guitar
Hello, Neil! I would say that sized setup would work best for a small to medium sized room or bar, and probably provide adequate sound for 100 to 150 people. Could 500 people hear the audio coming out of that speaker set up in the video? Yes. Would it be concert level for all 500? No. Thanks for the interest! Hey, Vishnu! Great question! There are a few ways that you can take care of the situation you're describing, so I'd love to talk with you about which one makes the most sense for what you're trying to achieve. Can you give me a shout at the contact info below to discuss? Rock on! 🎶🤘 Cassie O'Hanlon, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3020, cassie_ohanlon@sweetwater.com
Can i use zoom g5 guitar effects and plug it in to radial j48 di box to my electric guitar and bass guitar straight to my mixer without guitar and bass amplifier? And just use a monitor speaker out put as my main sound for musicians? Would that be awful? Or sound awful? Thanks for your tutorial:)
Hey, Hana-elle! Josh here at Sweetwater… Thanks for the inquiry! Great question. In short… yes, you can do this. In a longer answer, though, it's more of a question to why you would want to do this. What tone are you going for? Let's chat about this via phone if you can! Really interesting question that has both a 'yes' and a 'no' answer at the same time. most small tours don't bring their own PA, they use a house PA. a mobile church usually has to set everything up and teardown afterwards. God bless you!
Never met a band that tours with a PA system. Every venue or bar or club you go to will have a House system to take the instruments you bring. But you’ve probably never been on tour so I see the misunderstanding 🙏🏾
@@OutpourEast I said "small touring" specifically as it's not hitting venues with PA systems, still no idea what it's got to do with blathering about some religion
@@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power how is it negativity? It's just bafflingly creepy when the gear being used here has a multitude of purposes, completely seperate to the "show" that's happening. Is Sweetwater going to make videos specific to the Sacrificial Carrot Topping Cult and the Advent Day Hoppists, too?
Set up for your next service or outreach event doesn't have to be complicated! Still have questions after watching this setup guide? Let us know!
Sweetwater can you guys show how to EQ the drums in this same setting?

I’m not in a church band but these religious band video’s are always best ones. Detailed and straight forward.
Our dream set-up in our church!💖 Thank you for the inspiration and pro tips! GOD BLESS!💖😇
In no way did I need to learn this but I still enjoy watching it

If the young girl would play with a pick..........sound guy pulls his hair out when she plays.
We have a teenage girl that sometimes plays one with us.
I’ve seen it a few times.
Thank you. You teach these stuffs like a teacher instructing students how to count
Thanks, Sweetwater for this thoughtful and thorough video that addresses these unique challenges.

Thank you Sweetwater and Mitch! 😁

How can i put the mixer in the back of the room? My powered speaker cable cant reach the back of the room. Can i use a snake or something?
I think you should make a 2025 version, maybe include a tracks rig, wireless packs, and a MD position....
We are also a small Church, we are using a Fender Venue PA System.. any advice sir?

Hi there, with this QSC powered speakers sound system setup, what is the maximum audience are you catering to? 300 to 500 pax?

What if I dont want to use a separate ME-500 mixer for guitar, bass, keyboard and microphone? How do I route it to my stage box or mixer?

I think an automatic microphone mixer would have been a better choice of mixer
The Allen and Heath SQ series has the AMM feature for that.
An AMM is used for panel discussions not music. This would be a terrible use of an auto mixer.
I hope I have money for this😂
Around $6K Lol
Can the same setup be used for a mobile satanic church band ?
This looks incredible, but I just priced it out and it’s like $20,000 😰
That’s lovely:I would love to have a system like that;how much is the cost of the whole system;how can I contact you guys,
Just hire Varg Vikernes to set up the PA.

Notice how they don't use a drum shield.
Because they're mostly direct. Maybe just a guess

Is this good enough for the church of Satan tour? Asking for a friend

Y'all know other gig set ups are like this too? This didnt have to be for just worship bands lmao

Why has this got anything specifically to do with a religious brainwashing tour? Surely it applies to any small touring situation?
