The best source of exp in dof is building the structures you build stuff with. For example, building and selling cooking pots is a fast way to gain exp, though you lose a little gold every time.
Same for tub fountains in base game

I just do it with decorations
I remember a long time ago that you could just wait for a big enough discount on the buildings that you can just buy and sell over and over again until you were maxed. It has been a long time though so I am usure if it still works.
max level is 50
I probably suggest you to focus on the food more to get that ready for those islands and also have to upgrade the chest now for more space. The more food you give them the more you and the monster level up. The higher lvl island a monsters in the more coins it will cost ya to send them there so also sell stuff/food/drinks at the market, you can also upgrade your (appliances) for faster time and waste less diamonds. Hope this helps you matt!
I suggest taking advantage of the prismatic event going on, all prismatics released so far are available on the outer islands. And prismatics make more gold than the normal ones do.

If anyone is wondering,
The sooza is based off of a sousaphone which is a type of tuba. They use them in marching bands because they are really loud and are easier to carry then a tuba.

i think the monster combination of shellbeat, reedling, riff, spunge, flum ox, glowl, rootitoot, bowgart, tiawa, yelmut, quibble, quarrister, incisaur, ziggurab, woolabee, pongping, edamimi, and krillby is a really good song and i think you would enjoy it

Once you start Space Island, I really recommend getting Stogg, Toe Jammer, and Candelavra on it. That will kind of lay the foundations for what the song will be. And when you complete the song I would suggest muting PomPom because I don't really think it fits to the rest of the song
edit: space island has lots of hidden details in the animations, example is Deedge pushing its ice pads down so they don't float away

Matt for like 50 bucks right now while diamonds and outer island monsters are discounted you can get the entire space island. another 50 for cloud, and another 100 for cave island. usually it would be around 200 dollars PER island, right now you can get all of them for that. I think the ad revenue from those 3 videos would make that money back pretty swiftly (especially cave and space islands), along with 3 more videos of dawn of fire content for us.

When you get the bakery I’d recommend with fruit trees using half for lemons and half for coconuts, the make wheat with farms and then turn the coconuts into butter with the masher spam make lemon cakes in the bakery, they give really good monster xp

Monsters on outer islands are half off right now so you could just buy them all instead of teleporting them which takes a ton of work
But if you don’t want to do that get 4/5 of every farm building that makes all items simultaneously. Then just go on every few hours and collect and feed the monsters those items

*Regarding how to get a lot of XP:* Whenever there is a structure sale (and you have a lot of coins saved up), you can buy and sell the structure that is on sale over and over to get lots of XP!

Placing extra structures is a great way to get xp. After the coin castle upgrades, it's the best way to spend your extra coins.

fun fact: at 0:49 in the video you said that a lemon is 20 time longer then a coconut and so i did some calculating on the calculator and found out its 12 times not 20 but then i also did a apple and put 0.15 on the calculator and found out that a lemon is 400 TIMES LONGER THEN A APPLE (fyi i only just watched the video)

Matt, what I recommend is to place 1 or two bakeries, then sell it. Repaet this process until you run out of money or reach the level you want.
So to level up your self you have buy and sell any structure that is towards the bottom of the market using coins and for the monsters you give them food/items that you've recently got through leveling up. Also dont immediately start leveling up cause every level gives you something new so you should get used to where everything is first at every level

If I remember correctly, there’s a cheese strat you can do for XP farming, which is buying a hotel, selling it, and doing that over, and over again, until you’re at max level. (At the time of writing this comment, I’m not too sure if it’s been nerfed, or not)

A very easy and fast way to get xp is to place the most expensive decoration on your island it may cost a lot but is worth it if you want xp fast.
Matt when you start space island, get sooza, bowgart, candelavra and spunge! They don't sound the same way but its really cool!
The 55/58 is correct because it shows your entire island collection for example if in msm if you teleport a mythical to mythical island it still shows it in your collection

Tip to level up fast: buy and resell juicers to get a lot of XP that’s how I got to level 40
