Would the closest Adams be the A5? A heartfelt thank you for your beautiful playing and friendly personality. You are creating a lot of positivity in a time when it is sorely needed!
At a clinic with a Calicchio player, he described its sound as a dense core with a halo around it. Soft volume, mostly core, but when pushed, the core stays and the halo grows around it. Once he pointed it out, I could easily hear it. What you're describing near the end about this Benge sounds like a very similar thing.
Super awesome. MLP is always my favorite Benge. I loved the feel and sound but couldn’t jive with the 4th partial and the longer stroke valves. It sounds like kind of a perfect all rounder with a nod to the commercial. I would love to try one out.
Great sounding horn. Do they make a medium bore model? I am looking for a trumpet that is easier to blow. I've tried the the 3B mouthpiece. Not able to adjust to it. It didn't give me the sound I wanted and the range. Everyone is different.
I absolutely love the sound of this horn! Beautifully blown too Trent. Sounds like it’s kind of similar to my Kanstul French Besson Meha. Does it feel really open and easy blowing? That’s what I love about my Meha, it’s so responsive and feels almost effortless (of course, with practice!)

Yes the A5 would be the closest although each has it's own vibe.
Thank you for your kind words!

Watching this video again, I am marveled at how thick the sound is with the bigger mouthpiece. Man killer horn.
Carl Saunders was the Benge master. What a player.
absolutely!!! A titan! He is missed.

I don't know what BAC's plans for expanding the line are. That's probably a question you should ask them directly.
Great playing as always, Trent! If you have one on hand, would you be able to do a head-to-head with an Adams A5? Thanks!
Second this motion.
I always love the sound and playability of the Benge but could never get by with the valve block , it made for an awkward hand position for me ,
Geez, BAC is making that new Committee, too? I wonder which to save for.
I really (!!!) Love this horn and I have Committees in my own collection.

reminds me of herb alpert
Herb Alpert played a Chicago Benge back in his TJB days. Beautiful tone....
Sweet! Elden and Zig would approve! Happy to see it's back! Will there be a regular 3X and 5X?
Ask them not us.
You read my mind. It’s a classical trumpet. The perfectly slotting horns don’t give me the freedom to bend notes when playing jazz.
I think it's more than adequate for any style!!!
You've been practicing haven't you. jw
I always practice. These horns don't play themselves ;-) Thank you though for the compliment!
