By the way, the anime removed a sentence of Aizen stating that he was vulnerable right now and it was the best opportunity for Kyouraku to kill him. -Speaking of Aizen, in the manga he congratules Rukia for being promoted due to her efforts in the Arrancar war. -The anime cut a part in which the monsters coming from Yhwach start to advance towards the Quincies and they're terrified. Then Haschwalth says for them to calm down because "the true enemies of the SK are the Shinigami" and, indeed, the monsters ignore the Quincies and go straight for the Shinigami. However, the eyecatcher brings that into perspective, confirming that, yes, there's a grudge in play from the SK's part towards the Shinigami. Remember that he had a keen interest on Ichigo, and we learned that Ichigo was essential for breaking the seal. -Congrats for being one of the very few who didn't get "hurr screw what the others think, Aizen is back yay". For the other Shinigami, Kyouraku enlisting Aizen's help after everything he's done was nothing short of an insult. Even Kyouraku himself acknowledges that. It's not easy to see your sworn enemy being suddenly called to help you out - it'd be as if, say, Uryuu had to work with Mayuri during the Soul Society arc. Problem is, the fanbase is EXTREMELY emotional and, apparently, unable to put themselves on the characters' shoes. Out of universe it's good to have Aizen back but, in-universe, no one is exactly thrilled about it.
So the Rukia congrats from Aizen and Aizen saying Kyoraku should kill him now were in the episode, but with less details. And yes, this is a super disrespectful move by Kyoraku, although I do think his guerilla warfare style of leadership will bear fruit. I don't believe Yamamoto would have ever done this, and in this way I think Kyoraku is more interesting as Head captain. We will have to see how it pans out

It's interesting, actually, that we don't get to see what Shinji and Hinamori think about seeing Aizen again (and they're there). At least Hisagi is less than amused considering that Aizen destroyed Tousen. Maybe a similar thing regarding Ichigo and Grimmjow? For us, it's amazing. For Ichigo, considering his very mixed feelings about him... that remains to be seen.
When Aizen used Hado 90 he used it without the fluff text without chanting it. To make you understand why this is a huge deal, you need to understand that the Hado 90 is 3 or 4 times weaker when he uses it without the long flavor text and against Ichigo before Aizen was sealed and send to prison against Mugetsu Ichigo he usee Hado 90 with the full flavor text so full power Hado 90. So the fact that his Hado 90 here in this arc is AS STRONG as back then again Mugestu Ichigo and also keeo in mind Aizen doesn't has his full spiritual energy, he is bind on the chair and the seals are also sealing away a good chunk of his power. Aizen truly became a monster!
Very good point about the big difference in power between incantation vs no-incantation! That means Aizen is at least 3 to 4 times stronger than he was when he fought Ichigo. Though common misconception that they actually explained in the episode, the seals do not seal any of Aizen’s power. They just keep Aizen’s Reiatsu close to him. So Aizen is at full power here.

I also miss the comic relief moments and didn't agree with the anime cutting so many of them. Not even in war movies there was nonstop drama from beginning to end. One that I particularly liked was Renji actually falling asleep in the war and NaNaNa in disbelief that he was, indeed, sleeping instead of preparing a trap.

NaNaNa was the inspiration for Nanami's critical hit ability in JJK. And, yeah, it was insinuated that the Soul King was a transcendent being that was baseline a Quincy, but this confirmed it. Conversely, Aizen is a transcendent being that was baseline a shinigami, while Ichigo has a 50/50 baseline. Because they have already adapted a lot of stuff from the novels into the anime, I would be willing to bet that there will be a full flashback to the Prime Soul King (so far, all we have is the flashback Ichigo saw in Irazusando of Ichibei sealing the Soul King in the crystal) and what the world looked like prior to him separating the worlds. Also, fun fact, Liltotto (the little blonde girl) is actually not only one of the oldest Sternritter left behind, but likely the strongest. Sternritter aging is very strange. So If he was truly unleashed (as in If He truly cared freeing himself and releasing the seals, he would literally wipe out everyone and maybe give a run for Yhwach’s money even after he absorbed SK. Uryu's a double agent, but I think we always kinda knew he wouldn't heel-turn this hard for real. The real question is, why is Yhwach choosing him as successor when he MUST know (through The Almighty) Uryu plans to betray him? I've got ideas on that but some of them tie in to random spoilers I've seen over the years.

Should that sternritter be able to see holes in Aizen's spiritual pressure? I used to think that because of Hogyoku he doesn't have any particular characteristics of his own spiritual pressure because hogyoku keeps changing characteristics of his spiritual pressure each instant. If Aizen was not fused with Hogyoku it would have been understandable to see Aizen getting eliminated in one shot. Is spiritual pressure of those sternritters so low in comparable to Aizen that he didn't sense intruders or quincy coming close while he was talking with soul reapers. At least he should have scanned the whole Seireitei who is where when he came back to Seireitei. Perhaps because of his power, he wasn't afraid and stayed off guard completely. Plus Aizen is much above in terms of plane of existence in compare to that quincy. Why should his hax work on Aizen? Nananana whatever his name is. I seriously didn't like that moment. I didn't like that it even worked for five minutes. I can't take it for even one moment either.

@@DefinitivelyZach True but I just say either way Ichigo wouldn't die because Protagonist plot armor but if I ever become the chance to write a story I would absolutely build up a main protagonist I wouldn't kill him immediately but at some point midway through the story I would do it just because I find the idea of doing something no one else does very interesting, love shocking crazy unexpected plot twists.
Should that sternritter be able to see holes in Aizen's spiritual pressure? I used to think that because of Hogyoku he doesn't have any particular characteristics of his own spiritual pressure because hogyoku keeps changing characteristics of his spiritual pressure each instant. If Aizen was not fused with Hogyoku it would have been understandable to see Aizen getting eliminated in one shot.
Is spiritual pressure of those sternritters so low in comparable to Aizen that he didn't sense intruders or quincy coming close while he was talking with soul reapers. At least he should have scanned the whole Seireitei who is where when he came back to Seireitei. Perhaps because of his power, he wasn't afraid and stayed off guard completely.
Plus Aizen is much above in terms of plane of existence in compare to that quincy. Why should his hax work on Aizen?

Good points, I think you're right that he was just off guard completely. The stern ritters are really no joke as we've seen them take out captains already so for me it's not as big of a deal. Of course Aizen was gonna be fine. When he unleashes it's gonna be insane I can't wait.
I mean, I would understand the complaint if Aizen was caught by some kind of generic ability, but observing and "attacking" the target's reiatsu is Nanana's whole thing
