The opening scene was just breathtaking! And I confess to laughing outloud when I saw Ollie dragging his toy to you. I wanted to play too! Beautiful video as always. So glad to have you back!
Hi Stacy! SO happy to see you back on here more often--you have a stunning collection and you inspired me to finally decided to get a cissus quadrangularis :) Could you do a video on rhipsalis/jungle cacti in general? I wish they were more available and present in the plant scene. Also--what is that stunning upright cactus/succulent on your shelf? Looks like a dancing bones but isn't trailing. Sending love from sunny AZ 🌵
@caitlin6366 aw thank you so much! ❤️ yes, absolutely! I love growing rhipsalis, and I wish they were more popular too. I actually think it's a dancing bones! Rhipsalis Hatiora salicornioides. When i bought it, it wasn't labeled, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I know! Mine decides it wants to grow up right 😆 I think it might be because I have it growing under my grow lights.
Thanks for taking us along Stacy! Such a beautiful walk. Have a fantastic week! Oh can I ask how to prop my cissus quadrangularis? I am nervous to just chop a segment off because it’s just a single stem but about 7 segments.. I am just about done reading Piranesi.
@PetraEmmy thank you for coming along!! 😀 oh its super simple, you can actually just snip off the segments and put them in water or any substrate you prefer to propagate in. I have propagated successfully many times in water. I need to read Piranesi! How are you liking it? I loved Circe! Not sure if you have read that one yet. It's another greek mythology retelling.
So nice to see you again, Stacy! May I ask what direction your ric rac cactus is facing? I have that plant and a bunch of epiphyllum/orchid cactus and never have blooms. Also, Do you bring it outside during summer?
Hi Stacy! Your hike with the family was so beautiful! What a nice area...it really looked like a perfect day! I found scale on my Decursiva.....I chopped it all and chucked the bottom with roots.....I have no idea how it came about except if they crawled from a cactus that I use to have that got thrown.....I need a pepperoni fichii or finachii now after seeing yours.....I forgot about that one and always wanted one....I use to have the collina Hoya too....yours is a beauty so I think I would try that one again! Love your vlogs and thank you so much! Love tina
Hi Stacy! It was so good to see Ollie ❤. Thanks for the book recommendation. Also, what is the ratio of alcohol to water u used to treat ur plant for pests?
Hi!! 😊 Ollie says hi too! I hope you find a book you enjoy! I use 90% water and 10% alcohol usually but sometimes i might switch it to 80% water and 20% alcohol.
So glad you're back 🫶🏽
A cozy video
