Pretty solid advice. Don't be that guy that sh//ts up tower ever day. if your uptower you gotta take whatever you might need that day with you the first time you climb!!! and with or without school its about 1.5-2k a week with per diem.

Thank you and I've never really had an issue with heights. Was always a bit of a daredevil growing up. But one hub jump on a wind turbine and any amount of fear that i had at all is now gone for good. Fly days are fun days!

Generally starting off my will be between $18 to $21 or more depending on the company. But if you apply yourself, you'll earn more as you earn it. You can add per diem to that if you travel. I'm currently working for MFG Energy Services as a blade tech. The money is good and only gets better. Thanks for watching!
Honestly.. I heard the same thing coming in and even had thoughts of investing in that option. Truth be told. When you first get into this.. you are traveling when and wherever your company needs you to at any given time. You may be in Florida one day and the next morning in California. Living out of an RV will not be an option for someone fresh in the industry. As you get experience and renown in the industry, you may be requested by a site as a standby tech. So you'll be staying in one place longer with more certainty. Then the RV life might be an option. But still.. with the company truck and trailer being a necessity.. It could end up being more trouble than it's worth. So I would temper my expectations for the RV living on the road life.. Especially at first.
Every company does things their own way, but mostly similar... You will get flown out to wherever you're crew is, and then you will share access to one or two trucks for travel to the site, hauling the trailer and for personal driving needs. Some companies will provide rental cars, but that can be expensive for the company. Like I said, this will differ per company. Most job to job traveling is by flight though.

Glad to see your doing well. Had a question, do I need a drivers license? So far the companies I’ve wanted to apply to require a driver’s license. If your flying to different states does the crew drive together to the job site from the hotels?
Most companies that I know of do require you to be able to drive. There might be different levels of requirements from company to company, positions that do not require you to drive, but I'm sure it's preferred that you have a driver's license. An ID for sure though. Hope that helps.
This was very informative. The only thing I'm weary about is going into debt (for the schooling). I HATE accumulating debt unless there's a high probability of a return on investment. This field does seem like a safer investment but, like I said, I don't like debt. Just curious, do you get a company truck?
You should be able to get a grant. A did. Took care of most of it. With the money we make out here, you'll be out of any debt for school in less than an year. Life is expensive, don't spend it trying to avoid the cost. Good luck.
I actually just took a week of r&r. Every 6 weeks you earn 1 week off. Some companies do 6 weeks on for1 week off, 8wks on for 2wks off, 12wks on for 3wks off. And I'll be covering this in another video soon, but it's important to take you time off and most companies understand this as well.
Work is great and only getting better. Had a few personal issues these last few months, but work has been consistent. I'll be sharing more and more frequently though. Thanks for watching!

All travel and fees to and from home are covered. Every company does things their "own" way...But travel expenses are a guarantee.
