    I would love to see E-Flite/Horizon come out with a scale V35 'Bo with scale details along the lines of their Cirrus. It would be a winner.

      Very kind of you to say so. I try to make it as diverse as possible and not stick to one thing for too long. Hope that makes it interesting. Thanks again - Dom

    That's weird.. I got a perfect balance on a 3S 1300 :$ Then again: I didn't use the '70mm'.. I balanced it just in front of the spar..
    I (underhand) hand launched it myself by the way.. then again: I'm not a novice pilot..
    Yours seemed to favour high-alpha flying? :$

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  5 років тому +1

      It did until I trimmed it out! Lots of down trim required. 70mm from LE at the fuselage root is what it says on the diagram on the web site. Trying again in a mo when I go down the flying field. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

      Yeah.. I basically allways ignore the CG spec, as it's offten wrong (or to conservative).
      I got a flight time of at least 10 minutes on a 1300 3S by the way :)
      Good luck over there! :D

      ps: posted your video in the RCG thread by the way.. Hope you don't mind :)

      No problem buddy. Thanks for that. Tried a 3S1500 pack this evening and it flew MUCH better. Floated! Much better. Don't know why I thought balanced with the heavier pack.

      Good to read brother! :D I fly mine on Graphenes (Hyperion G7) which work out, but I really don't like graphene's much for planes because of the sudden voltage drop-off..

    Out of curiosity what CG do you find best as I have found 3 different cg listed for this plane my instructions say 80mm. hobbyking website says 90mm and you say 70mm. I Am about to maiden mine and to hit cg at 80mm I have had to add 30g of weight at the front of the battery bay with a 3s 1500mah

  • @nickvledder

    I hope your next video is about finding the correct CG for this plane. Apparently, during all those scary take-offs, the CG was too much aft. During level flight, the plane appeared to have "up"-tendencies.

      There is NO way it can have been too far back with the S32200 pack right up the front! I flew it again with a 3S1500 this evening and it was much better. Will share that vid soon. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

    I think under arm would be easier. Nice review though. Very thorough 😂

      Agree although when I've launched that way in the past I have more likely to flick/twist it as I release it. Will try that though. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

    looks like Steve isn't the only one who need practise with hand launching lol... She dose look nice, however was it windy ? because she didn't look very stable in the air. Also you would of thought they would of used a collapsible Prop as it's a belly lander. That being said your review still gets a Thumbs up, Nice one buddy

      Was too heavy and CG too far forward I think George. 3S1500 this evening was perfect. Vid of that soon. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  5 років тому +1

      Not easy when first flight and not trimmed out, no. Mine was quite out of trim but OK once in the air. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

      Not on the 3S2200 pack although it did fly. I flew it again this evening on a 3S1500 and it was fantastic. Vid of that soon. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

    Looks a fun little plane, how does she handle wind?

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  5 років тому +1

      It was windy for that flight. 10 to 15mph so I would so really well as long as got big throws. Lots of fun. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

    Is this ok for a beginner?

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  2 роки тому +1

      No. You really need something with a high wing, not a low wing. A lot more stable.

    I have had more planes damaged from friends launching any model, new or old. I always launch my own models. Trust no one. Just watch Xjet's channel. They are always having issues launching others models.....

    • @bcflyer99
      @bcflyer99 5 років тому +1

      I agree with you. I'm always polite with my friends when I decline their offers to launch for me. It appears hand launching this one requires a gyro to smooth out that torque effect.
