If you could never different between inspiration and copy, it is YOUR ignorance. Even a Ghantasala (1940s), MSV, Salil, SDB etc. have their inspiration from Western compositions. That said, IR & most of his predecessors are the ONLY ones whose works are at least 95%-99% ORIGINAL. No one else comes even close that number! Inspiration is welcome. ANY ART form (not just music) will die without inspiration!
