Foxtail Orchid Plant is one of the most beautiful flower you will ever find. It has more than 100 pink spotted white flowers like a pendant. The Foxtail Orchid flower as the name is resembles the tail of a fox. Its Botanical name is Rhynchostylis Retusa.
The foxtail orchid plant is an epiphyte that grows in tree trunks under the tree canopy in open forest.
Orchid Care:
This Indian Orchid plant does not like direct sunlight. Foxtail orchid plants do not grow in soil media. Its roots are white in colour and thrive well in a hot humid climates. They absorb nutrients and moisture from the humid air. When watering the orchid plant do not make it soggy. Instead, It is better to spray water on the roots.
These Indian Orchid flower spikes come out from between the leaves. So watch this orchid flower video. In hindi this flower is known as 'Draupadi Mala'.
