Coming from a Fellow Fabricator, you truly made an Amazing rig! It really works well and im happy to see how it goes in this video. Dont worry about driving slow, as you get more seat time and experience you will undoubtedly push yourself more!
When you ride a dirt bike or anything like that with a manual transmission, you kind of know how to ride in the power band better. Give Chris some more time riding it and he'll get it. It's a sports bike engine, needs to be revved high and not being lugged in the higher gears at lower speeds.
@@Ratkill9000 my first thought "finally someone who knows how to drive a manual shifted vehicle" so you are absolutely right, it´s absolutely recognizeable that chris isn´t used to ride any kind of shifted vehicle.
That's what happens when you drive nothing but automatics, he ( Chris) forgets to down shift when he slows down then try's to take off in higher gear then it should be in, I'll bet ya he doesn't keep track of what gear he is in, just shifts...
@@Ratkill9000 I agree with what you said. I have been riding dirt bikes and street bikes my whole life so I totally get what your saying. Chris can probably learn a lot by jumping on Lee's bike as well. regardless, Chris will get better with time. most important thing to remember is to be safe and have fun!
Ah yes more aggressive driving and no unnecessary high revs. but it's totally ok to drive slower if you're not comfortable with going fast. It sounds and looks amazing.
I'd like to see some hill climbs, and rougher terrain trails. That thing will handle it.... Great job on the build, and wish you many years of enjoyment out of it.
Not very fun when all you're worried about is getting wet. Half the fun is blasting the mud holes. Get a Rian suit and Cary lots of dry clothes.. Life's too short, Have Fun, Laugh Often...

First off I think that is a really cool build. One thing I think would look really cool because the shape of your build already looks rounded, is trying to fit an old Volkswagen body onto the build. If it fits correctly you wouldn’t have to worry about water or any other elements while you’re driving. Also you would have a Baja bug and that’s always cool.
Looks like it could do with a footrest on the passenger side, something to help hold yourself in. That thing looks like AWESOME fun, very well done mate. Love from Australia.
man thatn handles well i can't believe how good that thing turned out you aced it i am glad it turned out right for you they say you get what you pay for we know that's not right if you want something that's right you do it yourself and that's how you have done it
yeah I see mostly positive and the ones that might not be as positive are hardly mean. either just bragging about there skill and knowledge or giving ideas for improving the build.
Ijusthopeitsquick perhaps it’s your perspective the way something stay at bullshits bay or negative is by entertaining it all the time go do something.
Dude you need to enter that thing into a Baja or mountain climb like pikes peak !! Or even build a pre runner/ trophy truck for events like that you've got the skills to build one man!!
My son & I were up at Brown Mountain a couple days ago. (Couldn't make it up to Doe Mountain). I was really hoping you would show up with that buggy! (That thing looks awesome!)
He does drive faster but still I would be pushing my build to the limit bouncing off the rev limiter drifting turns also I love the color scheme and those shocks make it so smooth great job
Yeah, I am late to watch this: (I just got back from vacation so sue me) Lee is the East Coast Stig! The puddles and the buggy were not the problem you needed waterproof gear so you could SEND IT! Awesome build and great video. Keep up the great work! Ignore the haters! (they are not worth your time or energy they cannot do what you do)
Ok, so, you really need some mudguards for the front wheels, don't need to be anything fancy but it definatly needs them. Also I think that the wheels a touch on the small side, if they where maybe 2-3 inches bigger you'd get much better performance. One thing was very evident in this video, Lee understands about keeping the engine in the powerband, the throttle response is way better when the engine isn't struggling from the power basement.
Driving it the way it likes! No knocks to you Chris but take notes on how he drives especially when he shifts and when he doesn’t and just keeps it in the midrange but not too high. It comes from riding that dirt bike of his.
Well I like the fact that you let someone who knows how to drive take the wheel so you can learn quick. That's how you learn! He's nothing exceptional but out of respect for your home built car I'm sure he was being cautious. I've been riding and driving bikes and then cars since I was 10 years old and the only way I got faster was going against others that were faster and usually A LOT faster until I was at the pro level eventually.. You have no experience with going fast which is obvious from past videos. However you are a very good fabricator and are learning very quickly how to build real quality vehicles. Your tenacity and work ethic is outstanding! You have a big future in front of you! As for your driving? Sac up and go big, push things to the limit. That's the only way you learn and from others that go way faster than you. This is experience you will gain in the near future. Good luck to you kid!
Really need to preload your shocks. Maybe strap them down and drop the top mounts before installing back. Those shocks are more or less helper shocks so the springs settle a long way before they become actually useful.
Long time viewer, first time commentor: I'd love to see you put this thing through absolute mayhem. Why put limiting straps on if you're not going to jump it? Put it through a controlled roll.. see how tough it really is. If it breaks, reinforce it! Now I don't want to see you hurt yourself, I just want you to put it through some controlled scenarios in the name of science!
I know this is older I’m just getting around to watching. But Man that thing is awesome!!! If you ever sell it I know I’d be in line to buy it!! But it sounds like under lots of power the clutch Steele’s and friction plates are slipping I’d definitely check that. But it’s awesome and the monster truck is looking cool too I like the height of it hell its to sketchy to go that fast down trails even with it wider n higher lol
do you know how much caster u have on the front not sure cause im not driving but looks like it doesnt steer itself out of corners very well just a thought looks so sick
Like I said six videos ago, you need to put a barrier in front of your feet to enclose the footwell. Getting wet and catching rocks in your [knees] sucks!
I like it when lee drives😂
A full day of fun and nothing major is broken. It's a good day

I would like to see a top speed run!
According to gears and weight I guess the maximum speed around 130km/h
@@Hermanimace oh ok thanks! 👍
@@Hermanimace not even close. He reduced the ratio because it was burning the clutch
Looks slower than my 196cc off road kart that does 45mph...
Mutch better driver. No countinous overrevving, drifts, flooring sometimes, reving the engine in starts

Seems like fenders would be a good idea for those trails!
Sounds good now that someone with better stick experience is driving. Seems to have plenty power.
I'm liking this build better and better each time I see it in action. 😃
I thought everything you made was so slow but now I know it’s just your feather foot
I'm really enjoyed watching this build process. this looks like a lot of fun. I can see some body work in windshield coming soon.

Totally impressed, that buggy is very capable over a wide range of terrain.
Watch at for that first puddle, it's a dusy. Great build Chris
Looks great Chris, props to you man. keep up the good fabrication and building skills. wish I could drive that thing one day.
New suspension seems to be working good!

You are babying that motor, the motor is a whole lot more capable. Buy some good racing chain that will not stretch.
Great work man, keep up the hard work, its paying off.
Really nice job making that $100 engine right at home in the buggy...sounds really good! Looks like a BLAST! GREAT WORK, CHRIS!
Great job on your build man! Looks awesome and runs amazing!!!
The spring rate on the shocks looks good and the buggy looks very stable at higher speeds

That is the best thing Ive seen in along time!!!
I think you did a great job on this. Wish you were able to find a more common engine, just in case you run into future problems with this one.
7:22 omg i didnt see this shit before❤😍
Hello,
Completely different way of driving.
Sounds better. More fun to listen to.
Cheers from Belgium.
Man.. Imagine all this fun almost never happened because of a stupid starter gear!!! Well done Chris. Enjoy :)
Better then cars and cameras

Much better driving, soothes my soul.
Still not the best place to ride this thing, find a place where it can be driven at open wide throttle!

Super impressive build!
Love it but you must send it these motors need to be used you just have to service them properly 💪
The seat belts are backwards aka wont hold you in incase of a roll over
Get some wet weather gear and go nuts. Good stuff guys

What about rally car wheels and tires, with some fenders and big mud flaps? Then maybe a bit of body work?

Hi Lee, nice driving sir... keeping it in the torque band, ever heard of coveralls

Now it’s time to make body panels and fenders cause what’s the point of making it if you can’t splash through puddles and driving at full potential

Clear windshield for the front
Metal windshield clear body panels
