  • These 3 Features can make Wilds the BEST Monster Hunter Game to date:
    With 1 teaser, 2 trailers on the bag and a 3rd on the way, Monster Hunter fans are eating good this summer after half a year starving for new information about the series upcoming instalment, and while we patiently wait for the next footage to come out in august during this year’s Gamescom event, we now have plenty of content to analyse and dissect in the meantime.
    Despite not everything that was shown was clearly explained and there are still many questions to be answered, we did get a more in depth perspective to Wild’s gameplay direction as well as to what we can expect in a more general sense, and what we saw was absolutely incredible, so much so in fact that there are 3 aspects in particular which I believe, will make wilds the best monster hunter game to date, but what exactly are those features tho?

    Something that I don’t think many other people are thinking about for this game but I want is better achievements. Both world and rise are known for the hell it is to 100% it, so I’m hoping they make achievements more fun and easier to get rather then a hellish grind fest

      Amen to that!!!
      It was hell to get all the crowns in worldborne, I'm going through RiseBreak now and, while it seems a little bit easier, I know I'll get stuck sooner or later.
      They have to either make it easier to get crowns or more fun than just dropping on the map, measuring and leaving the quest.
      Not to mention that they don't even have their own tools for us to measure, we have to rely on hardcore UA-camrs for that.

      True! I have 2k hours in world. Missing several achievements. 137 devil hunts still no gold crown… only base game I need.

      Challenges instead of just farming for gold crowns and pets. Like spe2drun Challenges or equipment challenges. Like kill this monster under 15 min or under 10 min or use this weapon against this monster.

    Im guessing the gathering hub has been expanded to the whole world, eg: you call in an sos, finish the hunt, you and your hunter buddies all walk back to the village and buy cheese and do prep for the next hunt.
    Like the 4 hunters will persist and all be walkin around the same village together right? That would be cool, even better with cross platform 👌 canny wait for wilds

      Not sure, but i cant see them making the hunters you were just with blip out of existence just because you walked into the village…maybe they will who knows

    Wilds feels like they are pushing the tech and teams to new heights. And I would not be surprised if they added more monsters than usual. The problem with Worlds is all the skeletons and monsters had to be built from scratch. I see a lot of parallels between Elden Ring and this game where the jump to "open world" also came the need for more content. Bigger maps, stronger stories and more monsters

    I'm happy that you mention the voice acting and the story! I've seen so many people cry about these 2 aspects, and i don't get them, we're getting more/ better stuff and they don't want it?
    I personally am exited about those two things! Also the voice of the female hunter sounds super good! She sounds so badass!

    Honestly given that the official mh website has mentioned crossplay for wilds, that alone is a big advantage imo

    5th gen suffering on the roster was because of 2 reasons, 1 per game. They chose a shit engine in World, MT Framework, so they had part of the team wasting a year on a single monsters that was only a problem because of the moving platform set piece aspect. Something that Insomniac did on a PS2 in 2003, Before MH1 came out, for a game that took that long to develop in its entirety while also beating Mario Galaxy by 4 years to it's spherical planet levels and gravity mechanics. Rise had a world wide plague to contend with. It used a better engine so the technical issues of World weren't a problem but it had other issues. Also Rise had to pivot its design because the team saw the success of World and wanted to swap to maps without loading screens mid way into development. This was when at least 1 or 2 maps were finished already and the work on them had to be scrapped. Wilds had the plague too but only in earlier stages of development. Wilds' development started when Iceborne released, with some people missing in pre production because they were working on title updates. Rise started after GU was finished.
    Hey if they don't cheat, by saying his clipping in sand is okay, than lagiacrus should return. Balahara is the same shape as him and agnaktor, not the one with slightling longer legs like mizutsune and almodron. 40s in monster roster is fair. Might reach low 50s, since all the skeleton work in Rise is usable in Wilds, since it's the same engine. They could be making a mostly or almost entirely new roster, like 3rd gen but it's too soon to tell.
    Naratve wasn't that low rated in the Capcom survey question of what players want in a game, it was in the top 5.
    They did say that the maps will have a minimum of 2 large monster species that form packs, some may have more. There still may be only 3 large monster species on the map at a time. I'm looking forward to seeing the other pack/herd monsters in other locales. Flock of flying wyverns, please.

    i hope the action is not slow like world i cant get into that game as i just wanna get into the action like rise and the old monster hunter games on the psp

      @nathanandcherelle you are the minority, I think they're switching back to the world style of gameplay, which personally I am for. I played rise, hell I think I have a handful of hours on it more than world on pc(mostly cause i had already played and did everything in world on console), but it's just way too arcadey. Im not saying it was bad, but from my experience and the overwhelming amount of my friends, the arcadey feel to it just didn't sit well with us, it was just straight routine jump into bland maps and gun it to the monster first, there was nothing else to it. But that's just me :3
      I'm hoping for Monster Hunter tri vibes and with World style hunts gameplay and with a roster as big as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite or Gen X

      Nah, Rise is a fun game but it didn’t feel like Monster Hunter. Going back to the roots of the combat is way better.
