- Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was a fashion icon of the 1990s, known for her minimalist and elegant style. She was often photographed wearing simple, classic pieces that showcased her natural beauty and effortless chic.
Her minimalist aesthetic and choice of men's blazers and crisp white shirts stood in stark contrast to the fabulous glamour of her mother-in-law and other famous politicians' wives of the time. Her loose hair and barely-there makeup, and pencil skirts all embodied the effortless and moderate look of the decade.
Carolyn focused on using a limited colour palette, simple geometric shapes, and high-quality materials to create a refined and sophisticated look.
She favoured a minimal colour palette (mostly black, white, and other neutrals), subtle flourishes, sleek cuts to emphasize her silhouette, strategic accessories and textured pieces for visual interest, and above all, she utilized the coat as a focal point of her look.
Some images of Carolyn look so current they could have been taken yesterday. Her fashion choices continue to inspire and influence women today, and her legacy as a fashion icon will undoubtedly endure for many years to come.
Love, love her simplicity, she excudes humility
I loved the way she dressed. So eloquently.
Classically elegant. More sexy and alluring than all of the hideous, vulgar, semi clothed street fashions today
Love her minimalism and class ❤
I appreciate her fashion sense much more now than I did at the time....
She had some weirds styles stemming from the fact that she actually put too little effort in how she looked. She really didn't care much, and specially she didn't care the way this video or the media tries to portray. She had little thought on how she looked, she was an extremely self conscious woman and she hated attention. She tried her best to actually be super bland and vanilla and to have people NOT talk about her, so this video is absolutely no sense
Carolyn fashion style Timeless Elegance, Classy and Chic.
I love her style. Unusual to find a celebrity wearing the same pieces over and over. Apparently she was the origin of what we call street style now. Although one could say it really started with her mother in law.
How long has it been? And we're still talking about her. Wow.
Hanno lasciato un ricordo indelebile nelle nostre menti e nei nostri cuori ❤ fascinosi entrambi di una bellezza non superficiale rimarranno per me la coppia più bella del degli anni 2000🌷🌠🌷
Less is more. When I gave up eye make up for lent in my late 40s, all I heard was how young I looked. Yup.
She had an enduring style and people are interested in her. Why should she be forgotten?
Style icon❤
They were a beautiful couple, very chick and classy, what a shame this happened to this beautiful couple, omg, and to have JFK as their father, father in law, absolutely tragic.💟
0:44 the beloved Friday ❤
And look at the high caliber man she married...no vulgarity or stripper fashion
❤❤❤
I loved her minimalism in the 90s. She would have been horrified at y2k style. Now that I'm in my 40s...I'm trying to lean into her sleek simple style. It's better to invest money into classic pieces then throw monet at microtrends and wild pieces
She had a designer dress her please
No; she worked in fashion and picked her own clothes.
@@Elizabeth-yg2mgAgreed. She dressed this way before she met John Kennedy so I think she has always had a sense of style.
❤d CBK and JFK Jr 😢
She had a strange face, a very big nose but you could tell that she knew about fashion as she was a stylist, Jhon saw something in her that made him fall in love.
She perished in 1999. Why are videos circulating around about her ?
Does that mean she should be forgotten or something?
😂🤡🤡🤡🤡
Maybe not
Years after, because they died she has achieved this over-the-top iconic status because she married well. I do understand the fascination with John, especially for those of us who watched him grow up … perhaps it is only wonderment in why he chose this rather unremarkable person to marry. That is the mystery 🤔.
Maybe he feel in love with her ! Not so hard to figure out.
Hopefully that wasn't a real leopard coat she was wearing. It might have belonged to Jackie, who, when she wore one, almost caused the extinction
of leopards. Hopefully this site will not glorify endangered species fur as "fashion".
If it was the leopard coat that belonged to Jackie Kennedy, then it was real leopard. Oleg Cassini, who often designed for Jackie, made a the coat made of leopard pelts for his prized client. It caused such a splash that the population of leopards plummeted worldwide to satisfy the demand for the trendy coats. We now live in much more enlightened times when artificial alternatives are available.
I don't look like Carolyn bessett either
I find it disgusting that Meghan Markle would want to try to clone herself after this American icon who married American icons. Her dress was similar to Caroline that sorry. No prizes for that. Wrinkle mess
Truly 1 of a kind
Our Real American Princess that married America Prince🇺🇸💙
Let her RIP! LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB!
A
I think she was very over-rated, and that their marriage was in big trouble at the time of their unfortunate deaths.
She was not beautiful at all. For me even ugly .
I never thought she was gorgeous, more or less, pretty. She wore her clothes well (tall and thin), but the colors were bland. Also, a lot of black, describing her mood or ready for a funeral? Nothing special, just married into the Kennedy family.
Right, the nose is to big. She wasn‘t pretty.
@@pippilangstrumpf8189 yes, I agree.
Apparently people said she didn’t photograph that well was prettier in person. I think she had a very unique look when combined with her style made her very striking.
@@PurplenpinkkI agree - not photogenic but I do think she is beautiful in her own way. I find people with flaws more interesting to look at.
They could have been a beautiful couple 💑 in the white house
